I think he's signed, sealed and Detroited.

Flores seems to have regained the front-runner position for DC.

Although the door remains open for Jimmy G...

and its official

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22344934/indianapolis-colts-hire-josh-mcdaniels-head-coach

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts had to wait for more than five weeks, but they finally named New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their new head coach -- landing the man they plan to pair with quarterback Andrew Luck for years to come.

Hold on there bankshot there's breaking news!

OC Josh McDaniels has decided NOT to accept Colts’ HC job and will remain with New England, sources told ESPN.

The Colts must be pissed and deflated.

I assume that Josh was made certain promises about certain future promotions.

"Deflated"...

I see what you did there.

and in what is likely a related story, contrary to previous reports Schiano is staying at tOSU and will not join the Pats in an asst coach type position.

Does Tony Dungy get paid to analyze the NFL for its fans or to use NBC as a platform to promote his personal religious beliefs?

Dungy, a Hall of Fame member and former Bucs and Colts head coach, spoke on air during the game about the faith of Foles, who has said he wants to be a pastor for high school students after his career concludes. Himself an outspoken Christian, Dungy spent much of Tuesday responding to Twitter critics who don’t see how Foles’ religious beliefs helped him defeat the Patriots.

“NBC pays me to express my opinion,” Dungy replied to one Twitter user. “And it was my opinion that Nick Foles would play well because his Christian faith would allow him to to play with confidence. And that he’s a good QB. I think I was right on both counts.”

Dungy reported that Foles told him God had “a special moment” coming for him and his Eagles, and Dungy felt Sunday validated that. That only led to more backlash, including from those feeling God concerns himself with things bigger than football.

“This was much bigger than the score of a football game,” Dungy wrote. “How many young boys are going to look up to Nick Foles because of what he did in this moment? When they do they’ll see something about LIFE!”

People tune in and may want to hear your comments on the players as relates to what they will do ON THE FIELD in the GAME, not in LIFE!

Who is enabling this clown at NBC?

And, as an aside...HOW did he get into the Hall of Fame?

I can understand where Dungy is coming from, whether I believe it or not is different matter.

So he is paid to analyze the NFL QBs by their relationship with Jesus.
STFU.

And defend the HOF argument that you have yet to make.

9-10 in the play-offs with the best QB on his team in 12 of those game.

Uh...."Say, what?"

He is as overrated as a coach as Samuel L. Jackson is as an actor.

Former Colts head coach Tony Dungy is not a fan of Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels spurned the Colts having already told the team that he’d take their head-coaching job and already told assistant coaches they’d have a job on his staff, and Dungy took to Twitter today to denounce McDaniels’ actions.

“I can tell you there is NO excuse big enough to justify this,” Dungy wrote. “It’s one thing to go back on your word to an organization. But having assistant coaches leave jobs to go with you then leave them out to dry is indefensible.”

Dungy said the fact that McDaniels hadn’t signed a contract doesn’t change the fact that McDaniels gave his word.

“You make those decisions before you say I Do. Don’t get married start a family then say I changed my mind. He didn’t sign the contract but he said I Do,” Dungy wrote. “That is common decency and integrity. You don’t do that to the families of your peers.”

Dungy also said he doesn’t blame the Patriots for keeping McDaniels, but does blame McDaniels for violating a trust within the coaching community.

“Has nothing to do with a Bob Kraft. This is all on Josh McDaniels. He’s a grown man and has to take responsibility for his decisions,” Dungy wrote. “I can tell you in the football coaching community it’s not even close to being acceptable.”

Dungy is no doubt far from alone in feeling that way. And when or if McDaniels does become a head coach again, he may have a hard time convincing assistant coaches that he’s a boss they’d want to work for.

Maybe Jesus told him it was what he should do, Tony.

Now, get out of the Hall.
