so if reports of Lebron's injury are true, Cleveland is in trouble against the Celtics.
If Cleveland loses to Boston, might help the Knicks. Cleveland is capped out and the parts aren't a dynasty in the making....

Some draft thoughts
Would love a first rounder for Larry Sanders or Solomon Abi.
Also would like serious consideration with a second rounder for Alexey Shved. It's a bit of a gamble but he's like a lottery pick playing on a championship team, hard to get minutes but looking very tantalizing in brief moments he sees daylight. Also being coached by Messina is a plus, great teacher.

Who will be the "best" point guard in five years?
Collison 1 (5.3%) Curry 7 (36.8%) Douglas 0 (0%) Evans 4 (21.1%) Flynn 0 (0%) Jennings 2 (10.5%) Holiday 0 (0%) Lawson 3 (15.8%) Maynor 1 (5.3%) Rubio 1 (5.3%) Teague 0 (0%) Beaubois 0 (0%)

So Mikey's doghouse ending up costing Nate a cool Mil.
Nah, the Celtics did that to him.

Chris Bosh seems to be using his Twitter account to make a statement that he might have played his last game as a Raptor.
Bosh changed his location from Toronto to "Everywhere" and deleted a section that mentioned his status as Raptors' captain.

Makes one wonder if D’Antoni hadn’t housed Nate if the Celtics would have taken him on. $2 million bucks is $2 million bucks. Has he even played yet in the playoffs? I haven’t seen him. Speaking of Ex-Knicks in the playoffs....Channing Frye lit it up last night for Los Suns. Nice to see him finding his niche in the league. D'Antoni could have used him.

Bosh is a pussy. that's right a pussy.
he wants no part of the 5 hole and I want no part of him. he could not get the raptors to the playoffs.
is he better than lee? yes. but not by enough to warrant WalshNagel spending max money on him. Lee is a mid-range player less per year and if lee says no to that then he can move on as well.

Trade Lee for Bosh
Get Joe Johnson to commit to a contract in principle with New York. With Atlanta on the verge of losing All J All Day for nothing, Donnie calls up his boys at Conseco and negotiates the following 3-way: TJ Ford (expiring) and Joe Johnson to New York, defensive ace Brandon Rush (Johnson replacement) and Eddy Curry to Atlanta along with cash, and a massive trade exemption and some future 2nd rounders to Indiana. Maybe the 2014 first-rounder is included to make things work. Indiana loses Rush, but they've got a similar player in Jones and they really don't want Ford and his contract sticking around. Atlanta gets a young player in Rush, Knicks get a starting PG and still have enough money to sign Jermaine O'Neal to a 4-year 18 milli contract.
JO-Bosh-Gallo-JJ-Ford; Barron-Chandler-Walker-Douglas and two rookies (let's hope we get Craig Brackins and Jerome Randle)
Possible? Would it cost the Knicks Chandler as well to get Atlanta to take on Curry?
This is the best team I can imagine that doesn't involve Wade or Lebron. Certainly not Orlando-Cleveland level next year, but perhaps the next tier.
I'm not too enthused about that. O'Neill is done. He has too many miles on him. In 4 years he will be decrepit. Bosh isn't that much better than Lee. We will pay more and not get much more value. And JJ just ensures we will suffer the same fate and malaise as his Hawks team. A Bosh-JJ team strikes me as mentally weak.

$2 million bucks is $2 million bucks.
For $2 million, now Danny Ainge can throw 80 towels!

Because of the team's stance against Arizona's new immigration law, Eva Longoria -- superstar wife of Spurs' immigrant guard Tony Parker -- tweeted "GO Suns" before Wednesday's game. Evidently, it worked. They went, and ruined her husband's night.

http://blogs.hoopshype.com/blogs/sierra/2010/05/06/more-spanish-chocolate-for-the-big-apple/Fortunately for him, the Knicks acquired him just before February’s trade deadline and Rodriguez got a chance to shine a little bit with extended minutes under Mike D’Antoni. It was nothing overly impressive, but good enough for Rodriguez to finish the season with career highs in points (6.6) and steals (0.8.). It’s no surprise that now Rodriguez, nicknamed Spanish Chocolate for the resemblance of his game to Jason Williams’, looks at the Knicks as his No. 1 option when he becomes a free agent for the first time this summer. From what he’s hearing, the interest is mutual. “They want me for next year, but they are waiting to see what they do with the rest (of free agents),” Rodriguez said. “I spoke with Donnie (Walsh) in my exit interview. He was happy with what I had done. It was a positive conversation. They were very positive in that it sounded like they wanted me for next year.” The Spanish guard, who is drawing interest from top European teams like Real Madrid and Valencia Basket, says he will probably return to the United States to be heavily involved in free agency negotiations. “It seems like I’m going to be there in early July to see what I do,” Rodriguez said. “I want to make a decision soon whether it is to stay or leave (for Europe).” The top European clubs usually don’t wait that long to have their rosters set, which could make Rodriguez rush his decision.

Sounds like motivation enough to dump Chandler PLUS Gallo [with Eddy] for even more cap space. [ sigh]

Would you rather be LA or UTAH?
Not that JJ-Bosh would even get us to Utah level. I dont' want to have spent the last two years waiting to build a team that might not break into the 2nd rd.

kam we agree. amazing to a degree.
Chip we have enough cap space and to my mind we just need to keep doing exactly what we are doing.
keep our options open and don't make bad choices.
that for example would be paying Bosh 5 million more per year than lee.
We can buy a first round pick or trade our 2 seconds for a first IF there is another talent there Donnie wants. The TD move was inspired and he cost nothing but cash.
