Good for him that he got the cash.  But he'll be an afterthought now.  In a big way.

I see Oliver Purnell has left his essentially mid major gig for a high profile job at DePaul.

Two things that happened before the Duke free throws:

* Calling a timeout not able to get the ball in under their basket really hurt Butler.
* On the ensuing play, Gordon Hayward drives by the defense, gets pushed in the back by Singler (refs were letting them play) and the momentum causes him to miss the shot.  That could've been called a foul, but wasn't.

The NCAA turned out to be a HIGH-TECH LYNCHING.

The INTENTIONAL FOUL RULE OF KNOCKING THE SHIT OUT OF SOMEONE seems to CLARK KELLOGG like an "awkward landing."

OH, wow, we have to go so fucking ORWELL in a basketball game where they don't even show replays anymore??

PATHETIC.

DUKE sucks, and Butler couldn't beat CLEMSON, seriously.

But they beat DUKE if you pocket the whistle a few times, or bring it out when a guy gets fucking technically-fouled, when you don't it's maybe a NO TECH LYNCHING IN HIGH DEF WITH NO REPLAY.

PATHETIC.

Sure, on the TECHNICAL FOUL, but the one other REPLAY THEY SHOWED where KELLOGG.CLARK called "all ball" my buddy texted that yeah, the HAND IS PART OF THE BALL JUST LIKE THE SHOULDER.

If you FLIP THE SCRIPT on the call do you think OH WELL, SCHEYER JUST FUCKED THE TURNBUCKLE, NO PROB, would have been the prevailing sentiment.

FUCK DUKE, and the officials, NCAA AND ON THE COURT who gave them a CAKEWALK (talent considering), and every WHISLE WHILE YOU WORK OFFICIAL THAT RATBOY SCOWLED AT...

...Duke has turned the game into a sissy sport, as much as I loved the big east in the '80's when BASKETBALL WAS A CONTACT SPORT, K-MIKE has turned it into a FINESSE GAME OF WOMEN who fall down when touched.  Of course it's frustrating that he succeeds, when he coaches THE FLOP AS IF IT'S A BASKETBALL MOVE.

PATHETIC.  SHAME ON YOU KID, I GUESS YOU NEVER PLAYED THE GAME.

Prevailing wisdom today was that the way the game was called favored BUTLER.

I saw the same thing as Kam.

I saw it, too, but they are NOT calling that foul in that situation, especially the way the rest of the game was allowed to be played.

Agreed. Which is why it was such a good game. Only people who hate Duke or Coach K or lost big money or are just drink too much would disagree.

My easy cash was Butler 3 pointers vs Duke winning margin.

But I may lose it back tonight on STAN (FT + 3's) vs UCONN winning margin.

Fun stuff.

"Hey, they finally let them play, this was a good national championship where the crowd agrees that, if anything the calls went in the favor of Butler..."

Sell it to somebody else.

And to the players out there, luck, but I saw that ballgame and Butler got SCREWED.

But it's OF A FUCKING THEME WHEN YOU PLAY DUKE WHERE K HAS DEMORALIZED THE GAME TO MAKE THE FLOP INSTITUTIONAL....

TOTALLY

FUCKING

Agreed it was a great game.

By the way, that was a heckuva pick that Howard set on (Singler i believe) on the last play.  Totally crumpled him.

I can only imagine if that last second three point from halfcourt went in.  It might have been the right call but Coack K would never hear the end of it had it cost the championship.
