I have no problem with the press reporting it
But Hamilton will be answering (or ducking) questions on it all spring.....and that's what is sad.

But that is Hamilton's doing... and the way of the world.

Miggy Cabrera had to deal with a similiar issue last year, and he played through it, and had a pretty good year. Hopefully the problem is under control.

Beane extended ....through 2019!
Meanwhile Yanks get their bat.
Billy Hall. Heh.
Yeah, that should make up plenty for Montero.

Wonder how Cashman's divorce and publicity of his philandering will impact his performance?

According to Rotoworld, Yanks adding Branyan will have no effect on their pursuit of Damon, Matsui, Ibanez.......

Mariners pitchers and catchers (and many more!) reported today but, it was not without heavy hearts - although they are doing their best to keep Greg's spirit alive...

Carter was a decent ballplayer, but an annoying personality, both on and off the field. His in the HOF because he played in New York, and like Curt Schilling, never met a microphone he didn't immediately attempt to dominate. Ted Simmons was the better catcher of the era, but Simmons was never the self-promoter that Carter was and didn't play in the media capital of the world, mugging for the cameras all day long.
So, Carter is in the HOF, and Simmons, who belongs, likely doesn't get in.
Nonetheless it is a sad day for Expos and Mets fans who loved their "Kid".
