The Golf Forum was quite lively @NYT.
Golf should also be a stand alone
along with Baseball, Football &etc.

Fred Fund should apologize for his pink-skirted dance of misogny.

I hear you and agree...

I didn't even know it was here, until I saw someone mention it under another topic.

Playing Palm Desert next weekend.  it's already over 100 degrees there though -- need to get an early start.

This may be a bit personal, but how soon after a colonoscopy can you play Golf?   Smiley

I'm pretty psyched about the US Open...

It rained a little bit last night and the earlier players seemed to be benefiting this morning.  But still... what a harsh course...

Ya wouldn't catch me out there. They wouldn't let me in, but that's another story.

Could be an interesting weekend. El Tigre is within four with two holes to play.

Due to a family wedding out of town over the weekend, I got home about 8:30pm on Fathers Day but I had Tivo'd the last round and watched the first hour or so, but by then after interuptions and dinner and everything it was 11am and I just had to go to bed.  I vowed to try to avoid hearing who the winner was, but first thing when I walked outside the house, it was the first thing I saw in the paper laying on my porch...

I didn't even bother to watch the rest of it at that point...

And I was so looking forward to just sitting in front of the TV watching golf that Sunday...

I haven't been really following the tour in quite a few years.  I tend to watch the majors and peek in once in awhile to see how Tiger or Mickelson is doing - I guess I've ben a pretty casual golf fan...

So lately I'm enjoying watching David Toms.

Anyone really paying close attention lately?   What can you tell me about Tom's history and character?

I think I started paying attention to Toms because my golf pro compares me to him a lot ... not so much because me swing looks like his as much as how he would like it to...

I played about a dozen rounds of ball golf and could only manage one par for my efforts. Switched to disc golf years ago. Much more relaxing and the equipment is less expensive.

I too mainly watch the majors and don't keep up with history and bio of the players, other than what the broadcasters speak of during the telecasts. Can't help you with Toms.
