It's not hard to have inflated expectations for "Bug" -- actual viewing may deflate them quickly.   Have a shower and some lotion available after watching.

The next John Dahl is no longer a phrase that excites me so much after "You Kill Me," which was a case of "You disappoint me" and a general realization that Sir Ben Kingsley is not quite as versatile as I once thought, though still a very fine professional.

So as not to be a complete buzz-kill here, I will say that The Lookout was one of the more pleasant indie surprises of the year for me.

I mean, we know about....

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0238112/

....which gets you into MOVIE JAIL for a while, dude's made 2 movies in 10 years since.

I thought he was just doing movies 1) between announcing football games; or 2) in the hockey off-season.

Look at Ben Affleck's run for the money if you want to see a nearly unprecedented yes to everything run.

Colin Farrell knew the sicle was over his shoulder too, evidently.

re the Bale Batman, from what I read, the marketing campaign had already started via internet ads for "Vote Harvey Dent" or something like that, and Ledger was indeed the centerpiece for the campaign.  Well, at least they have a little time to re-work it, hopefully.  You are right, that's going to be one weird promo tour, though.

Bug wasn't that bad. And if you find that it is, I'm sure there's a drinking game somewhere in that flick.

In "Mimic" drink when you hear "clickety-clack," see the bug kill your beer.

Harrie and I are almost at the stage of shoulder-mounted devil and angel, though I'm not flat out counseling a course of action, e.g. "for the love of god, don't watch Bug" much as I'd like to.  But, you've been warned, Jonas.

Okay, so TV is mixed in, and you can crank out a schlocky flick faster than an Affleck vehicle, but Fillion's tyring.

It also, for some reason, gets you onto Eric_Stratton's short list of favorite movies.

Yeah, I thought about that, I think he was the one who started me on the CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN capitalization style that works well for rants such as CUTACHEK*, PHOTRIOTS, CUSHIONER ROGER GOODSELL, and .  "eric_stratten," who had an affinity for movies like "Caddyshack" and "Animal House" also had the killswitch of a phirana, or pretended to, as he trolled along the NYTFF under various guises.  For all I know it could have been Nathan Rabin as "Sybil," but anyway, yeah, that guy was alternately funny and Columbine.

True, but then again, we were all just a bunch of "hoors," so there you go.

I saw the first half of "Bug" - it was okay.  It was wayyyy better than "Superbad".
