I can understand (whether I agree with it or not) Israel's having the power to request Palestinian FB pages be deleted.

I don't see why the US government should have that power.[/i]

“Israeli security agencies monitor Facebook and send the company posts they consider incitement. Facebook has responded by removing most of them.”

Last March, Facebook briefly shut down the Facebook page of the political party, Fatah, followed by millions, “because of an old photo posted of former leader Yasser Arafat holding a rifle.”

Nuke-armed Washington runs the world...well most of it anyway.

"Australia can't have nukes"..."Fatah" can't have a Facebook page..."certain Facebook posts must be deleted"...etc
The way it is.
After all it's Washington that has a financial/political/human stake in Israel/the Middle East.

It would have been great if you had been as ardent about getting the guilty men locked up.

That goes without saying.

But where's the outrage in society about the lying, falsely-accusing, women?
Answer; there isn't any...or any much.
Doesn't cost them anything, as the cops/state pays for it all.
If they can get a [wrongful]conviction, then they can sue in the civil courts for 'millions'.

No, bambu, it doesn't "go without saying."

Women get arrested for and tried for allegedly making false accusations. Maybe you don't see it where you are. I don't claim familiarity with Australian courts.

"If they can get a [wrongful]conviction, then they can sue in the civil courts for 'millions'."

I'm sure they can.

How often do you think that happens?

Got any evidence that it has happened more than once?

No, but I'm sure it has.

followed by:
....I see in the media no women convicted and imprisoned for their lies and attempts to get money/men tossed in prison for a long time.
If there are some, then it can't be many.

So, you are sure bad things happen to men, but you have not seen it and have no evidence.

OTOH, when it comes to women, you doubt they get caught because you have seen no sign of it.

I believe that is about as clear a case of hypocritical double standard as I can imagine.

As for the Innocence Project, yes, the line is long - but it is not from women falsely claiming to have been raped.

The IP does important work.

8,000 prisoners per year write to them. They've cleared 351 cases (only 300 when the jpg was created) in 25 years.

DNA testing is possible in 5 to 10 percent of criminal cases. Other groups work on other cases.

In the cases of wrongfully convicted rape/sexual assault cases, they have not found women claiming to have been assaulted who were not. They have found errors of identification and errors of science. The women were raped/assaulted.

In one case, they managed to get the man free, only for him to apparently commit a murder less than two years later, a crime for which he was convicted and he has not challenged it through the IP.

Far more common, among their cases, are people cleared of murder.

Guess what, bambu!

The women also did not falsely claim to have been murdered, either.

It works like this, bambu:

When you want to put a quote in, you can type an open bracket (the key with { in its shift position, below the "-" key), then type the word quote, then the close bracket. (One key to the left of \)

When your quote is done, repeat the steps above, but after the left bracket and before the word "quote" put a "/" symbol. That will end your quote.

First Amendment wins the argument as there is not a compelling reason for the school's rule.

Simple solution...don't play him.  'form slump'.

Now all the team's players will be respecting their Club's wishes, the national anthem, and the flag.

Failure to understand group dynamics.

If they don't play him because of that, then more team and community members will join in.

And saying "then don't play them, either," leads to their team forfeiting, probably. Now you have a full force schism in the community.

Good work.

Young South Sudanese 'constantly stopped' by police, as community grapples with Apex stigma

Deng Maleek, a university-educated youth worker, was on his way to meet with police to discuss issues facing the South Sudanese community, when he was pulled over and asked to provide his registration papers.

Key points:
. Young people from South Sudanese community report discrimination
. Police say officers respond to person's behaviour, not skin colour
. Teenagers feel targeted when travelling in groups after basketball training
. The young South Sudanese man said the officers who stopped him implied he was an Apex gang member, an experience he described as not uncommon amongst his peers.

"Young people of Sudanese background find themselves constantly being stopped," he said.

"Young adults, not kids, who were engaged in education or working part time and congregate in public spaces and just to socialise, will be randomly checked [to see] if they are gang members."

Apex — a gang of young people from multiple cultural backgrounds — has risen to prominence in Victoria and is linked to carjackings, violent home invasions and armed robberies.

Members of the South Sudanese community said the focus was mainly on their children, a concern shared by Anthony Kelly from the Flemington and Kensington Legal Centre.

#####

And the African gangs' latest trick in Vic state is to lure a cop car into an alley, stop their car in front of the cop car thereby making the cop car stop...then 40 African gang thugs appear out of nowhere and surround the cop car.

And in Brisbane a violent home invasion/bashing, and carjacking [of a young woman]....by a "Sudanese gang".
All revealed on A Current Affair last night.

The print media very often omits the race of the invaders.

As in LA/Ferguson/Baltimore? riots etc the cops seem to just be standing by, frozen by fear/orders/or who knows what, and watch as the 'African' rioters loot, bash, smash and burn.

Charming.

What I grasp is...massive immigration into Convictland is ill-advised and should be stopped.
In fact immigration should be stopped completely...with very limited and hand-picked exceptions.
Multiculturalism has been a dismal failure...same as in Britain and as ex UK PM David Cameron said on the world stage.

Once they let the first wave of European immigrants in the place went right to hell and never recovered. Countries send their worst and they’ve been buggering themselves in Australia for centuries.
