The NRA is in a huff because 13 of their members won't get a discount on Delta. The Lt. Governor of Georgia is prepared to take away the $40 million tax credit over it, so now others are offering Delta a deal.

How many ways can elected officials shoot themselves in the foot?

If you come up with a new one, they’ll give it a spin in Georgia or one of its neighboring states. If they are truly dumb enough, Kid might contribute to their slush or legal defense fund.

Oh, come now.

Just because the folks who turned Mr. Kushner for a loan got slammed shorty thereafter is no reason to assume a "pay for play" scenario was in operation, any more than Mr. Icahn's sale of $31 million in shares that rely on steel imports means he was told the tariffs were coming.

Remember, Mr. Trump is draining the swamp. Otherwise, your concerns would make more sense.

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/mar/02/carl-icahn-shares-sell-trump-steel-tariffs-announcement-timing

Heh!  So long as draining the swamp means he can build a golf course there.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/trump-may-prosper-from-tariffs-even-if-this-faded-port-town-doesnt/2018/03/02/27f7bfe4-18e9-11e8-b681-2d4d462a1921_story.html?utm_term=.2a7f183bb127

Trump's theory that smelter plants can be built overnight must come from one of his crack team of economists who got their degrees at U. of American Samoa.

Wash Post = Breitbart

it seems that critical thinking is not a part of your skill set.

in my short time here I have noticed that you always put party politics above concern for being governed within the constraints of the rule of law.

to date, other than the australian who drops by, i can think of no one here who is less American than you, sir.

if this was the 1930's there is little doubt where your sympathies would lie! i bet you are a birther!

you represent the cancer that has infected this nation; disregard for truth, and full regard for partisan politics regardless of the consequences to the nation.

i will not sit back and let you make a mockery of this great country, simply because you refuse to acknowledge which is not debatable.

you, sir, have made an enemy!

FACTS matter.

Seems you boys go off on the wrong foot.

Miz-it seems you take kid far too seriously, he's Elba's village idiot, and usually repeats the last thing he heard. And as he generally listens to only Rush or Sean, he spews right-wing idiocy and conspiracy theories.

btw, why did you choose Les Mis for a handle, are you a fan of Hugo or Broadway?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-02/donald-trump-tariffs-not-great-for-australia-but-terrible-for-us/9502118

Donald Trump's tariffs not great for Australia, but terrible for the US

"In plain language, these tariffs are a terrible idea," said Tom Porcelli, US chief economist with the investment bank RBC.
"In fact it is such a terrible idea that there was talk amongst the GOP [Republican Party] today about pulling some of the President's unilateral trade authority."

As Kansas-based Republican chairman of the House Agriculture Committee Pat Roberts said: "Every time you do this you get retaliation [and] agriculture is the number one target."

Watch out soybean and other croppers who rely on exports to China and the EU for a large part of their livelihoods. Revenge can be served with pulses and grain too.

Canadaally and the EUally, NATO are the biggest exporters of steel and aluminium to the US. Australiaally and
China are much smaller players.

Ummmmmm….not to state the obvious, but how would you know this if you had not been here before, and for a goodly length of time at that?
