Here is a link to a short video that I made about how to help to save and improve the world economy, I kept it short and I left a lot of stuff out, but I was able to talk about a few things that I think are important. I hope that you enjoy my video, and if you enjoy it then you are very welcome to share it with other people.

Link:

http://tinyurl.com/3b7jnxo

"Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

Psalm 82:3-4

And always remember the Golden Rule to treat other people as you would wish to be treated, and love your neighbor!

This is how we can and should save and improve the entire world economy. Seriously, it is what the world needs.

If you like my video, and if you agree with what I said, then please share my video with other people.

We can, and we must, save and improve our entire world economy, and we need to do it NOW. And this will also help to make for a more just and peaceful world, and a happier world. We CAN do it!

Please pass it on if you agree!

All the very best,

Let me post this one again...

In the beginning of our history the government of the United States was funded by tariffs on imports, because Americans refused to pay taxes. Tariffs on imports were the largest source of federal revenue from the 1790s to the eve of World War I.

Can you imagine how quickly the economy in the USA would improve if we lowered taxes for Americans and raised tariffs on imports?

I know ways we could improve the entire world economy, but it could not be done quickly. But, so far as improving the economy in the USA and getting Americans back to work, lowering taxes for Americans and raising the tariffs on imports would be the fastest way to pull the USA out of this nose-dive and reduce the debt.

And as far as improving the entire world economy...

Workers EVERYWHERE need to unionize, along with having good labor laws so that no matter where companies go they have to pay the workers fair and have to treat them well.

That means unions in China, India, Latin America, the Middle East, etc etc etc.

If you want to help to improve the world economy, you have to look at China, and change needs to be forced upon China by good labor leaders like Lech Walesa, as China improves it will help to improve the whole world economy.

We cannot bring the USA down to the level of China in order to compete with China. China's workforce consists of communist slave labor. BUT, what we can do, is bring China up. And labor unions are part of the answer on how to do that. And I guarantee you that if the Chinese workers had more money in their pockets to participate in the world economy that the world economy would improve.

We learned as a result of the Great Depression on how NOT to do things. If you have many people producing cheap goods, with the workers being paid less and less, while the companies produce more and more for cheaper and cheaper, with the workers not being able to buy anything because they are working but are still poor, soon the whole economy collapses. But, if the workers are paid fair, they can buy stuff, and can participate in the economy. Unions, labor laws, fair trade rules (including anti-trust/anti-monopoly and anti-dumping rules), and fair pay and good treatment for workers, are all things that are good for our economy and which help us avoid another great depression. If we all try to compete with communist slave labor in China, producing more and more for less, while the workers earn less and less, we are heading for a global depression and bad times, just look at where we have been heading, the facts are there to see. We need to go UP and not down. We NEED improvement instead of decline.

The whole world can benefit from having labor unions, labor laws, and fair pay and good treatment for workers, along with enforcing fair trade rules, etc. Labor leaders need to look at the global picture, and need to support labor movements globally, the way that labor unions in the USA and around the world supported Lech Walesa in Poland, there needs to be a global brotherhood amongst workers all around the world.

We need improvement, not decline.

The Chinese went on strike against Honda, and got wage increases, but the people of China need REAL labor unions independent of the government.

Link to article about the strikes in China:

http://www.economist.com/node/16282233

It is damn hard for people to go out and get a good job, and earn fair pay to take care of their family, if there are no jobs, and if all of the jobs are all moving to China, so the way I see it the workers of China must be viewed as our brothers and by fighting for improvement for the workers of China the conditions for all workers will improve. The workers of China are ready to fight for fair pay and for good treatment, and for freedom, democracy, and for good human rights, but the workers of China need labor leaders with courage, wisdom, and strength, to lead them, and the workers of China need support from labor unions around the world.

The world needs more heroes like Lech Walesa.

Healthy, peaceful, evolution must happen in China, and a labor movement in China is part of the way to help evolution to happen, along with supporting good human rights there, and supporting freedom of religion, and a more open Chinese society, etc etc etc.

By fighting for good human rights for all people; we protect our own. By fighting for fair pay and for good treatment for all workers; we protect our own.

Truth.

China could be a great force for good in the world, and could be a great ally, if the people there would cause evolution towards freedom, democracy, and good human rights. The whole thing with communism and with the denial of good human rights just does not work, and it is the 21st Century now and they need to leave communism behind.

And there are several ways we can support healthy evolution in China, and we must do so.

Eleanor Roosevelt and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Human Rights Commission

http://womenshistory.about.com/od/1stladyroosevelte/a/human_rights.htm

Here is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that Eleanor Roosevelt wanted, and the world still needs it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Declaration_of_Human_Rights

By fighting for good human rights for all people; we protect our own. By fighting for fair pay and for good treatment for all workers; we protect our own.

A labor movement in China can help, and we must support a labor movement in China the same way the world supported Lech Walesa in Poland.

Freedom of religion can help, of which the Catholic Church supports.

The world wide web can help, and the exchange of information and ideas. And a more open Chinese society needs to evolve.

There are a lot of ways we can support healthy evolution in China.

When I lived in Malibu I had a room-mate who is the daughter of a general in communist China, because her father is a general she was allowed to attend college, and then they put her in charge of a hammer factory after she finished school and she ran that for a while, but as soon as she got the opportunity she left China and moved to Malibu in spite of the privileges she had in China because of her father's high position. She too wants to see healthy evolution happen in China, as opposed to violent revolution, but it will take courageous, wise, strong, active people to help China to evolve peacefully. So there are people of all positions in China who want to see healthy evolution happen. And Lech Walesa proved that healthy, peaceful, evolution away from communism is possible.

And I do not know how any Republican could be against unions after we watched a union in Poland free Poland, collapse the USSR, bring down the Berlin Wall, and end the Cold War. Fair pay and good treatment for the honest workers is an important part of freedom, democracy, and good human rights, and unions help insure that.

Salute,

Tony V.

Here is a very nice invocation...

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
When you spend years building, someone could destroy it overnight; build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; be good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

The way that people have been trying to save and improve the world economy is NOT working, the bail outs and stimulus schemes are NOT working, the world economy just continues to get worse and worse, and the economy will continue to get worse and worse until we take desperately needed action and deal with the core issues which are hurting our world economy, we must take the correct action NOW.

I watched "It's A Wonderful Life" last night. I watch it every year during the holiday season. It is such a great movie, and it shows how the world needs good people like George Bailey to be strong and in control because the world sucks when the bad guys like Potter are in control. And the movie is all about how the most important things in life are family, and friends, and people, this life is all about love, and how it is not just all about making money. Frank Capra was an amazing director who made some wonderful films, and "It's A Wonderful Life" is an all time classic for sure.

This is bullshit! Gloria is a fine, upstanding woman, who loves her country very much, and she did public service out of love for her country. I am friends with Gloria's cousin Rose, Rose is an amazing woman who spends her time doing charity work, and Rose told me that Gloria served out of love for her country and that Gloria had the best of intentions. Gloria is innocent of any wrongdoing, and Aquino is a scumbag. Gloria must be set free and all charges must be dropped.

Arrested Filipino ex-leader moved to army hospital
The Associated Press

Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 | 3:30 a.m.

Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was transferred to a military hospital Friday to be detained on electoral fraud charges in the next chapter in the Philippines' political drama pitting her against a popular, reformist successor.

The night before she was moved from the private hospital suite where she was arrested while undergoing treatment for a bone ailment, Arroyo told a TV station that the charges against her are all "demagoguery."

"It is sad that our leaders now are more concerned with destroying reputations and black propaganda and prejudgement," Arroyo told GMA TV network. "All I can say is that I have peace of mind because my conscience is clear. As I have said, during my presidency, my sole purpose was to serve."

Under court orders, Arroyo was taken to the same two-bedroom, 1,615-square-feet (150-square-meters) hospital suite where her predecessor Joseph Estrada was confined for three years. Arroyo had helped oust him on corruption charges in 2001, and she quickly pardoned him after he was convicted in 2007.

Associated Press photographer Bullit Marquez, whom Arroyo allowed to take pictures of her shortly before the transfer, described her as looking frail and speaking hoarsely. Her husband said she lost 20 pounds (9 kilograms) and was down to 93 pounds (42 kilos) but appeared relaxed Friday.

She has been seen wearing a head and neck brace most of the time but removed it briefly while Marquez worked. Arroyo was accompanied by one of her sons and aides.

Arroyo was arrested and charged 18 months after stepping down and could spend the rest of her life behind bars if convicted. She denies the charge of ordering the rigging of 2007 congressional elections to favor her candidates.

Arroyo said that her successor, President Benigno Aquino III, resorted to "demagoguery to completely destroy my reputation. Of course, if they destroy my reputation, it would be made to appear that he is doing good."

"Nevertheless, I still believe in the rule of law," she added.

Aquino, who was elected overwhelmingly on a promise to uproot corruption, blames Arroyo for a decade of graft and corruption scandals that eroded public trust in government and held back foreign investors.

Arroyo's arrest last month came days after she was turned away from the Manila airport wearing a brace as she attempted to travel abroad for medical care.

The government refused to let her go, even after the Supreme Court ruled in her favor, because officials feared she may flee from justice.

Arroyo's arrest set the stage for a prolonged legal battle. It also exposed a rift between Aquino and the Supreme Court, where 12 of the 15 justices are Arroyo appointees who will be deciding whether the charges against the former president are in order.

Aquino early this week accused the justices of standing in the way of his reformist agenda by obstructing Arroyo's prosecution. Court spokesman Midas Marquez called Aquino's comments "disturbing."

Prosecutors want Arroyo detained in jail like any other suspect. She says her health is still fragile after three spine surgeries. Her lawyers have petitioned for house arrest, but a decision was not expected any time soon. In the meantime, a judge has ordered she be detained in the military hospital so she would be in government custody.

In the meantime, Arroyo, 64, the daughter of a former president, was allowed to bring her furniture into the air-conditioned hospital suite.

Given her stature, the court temporarily permitted her the use of a mobile phone and laptop inside the aging hospital, which was built with American funds in 1955 as a gift to Filipino World War II veterans.

Arroyo lawyer seeks international support
Philippine Daily Inquirer
2:33 am | Monday, December 5th, 2011

A counsel for Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, lawyer Raul Lambino, is coming home shortly after a trip to Europe where he sought international support for the embattled former President.

“He feels very happy so I think it was mission accomplished, what he set out to do,” Ferdinand Topacio, another Arroyo family lawyer, told reporters Sunday at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City, where Arroyo is held under hospital arrest.

He said Lambino was returning home on or about December 10.

Topacio said Lambino left for Europe four days ago to bring to the attention of the international community the alleged harassment of Arroyo by the present administration.

Lambino met with the Centrist Democrat International, a political group dedicated to promoting Christian democracy, he said.

Topacio said he talked to Lambino on the phone upon Arroyo’s instruction but declined to elaborate on what Lambino said. “I will leave that to Attorney Lambino to announce when he comes,” he said. Kristine Felisse Mangunay

Back when I first really started spending time on the web there were two great sites that I loved, one was a Harvard website where I was able to discuss literature with Harvard students, and the other great site was the New York Times forums, and both sites are gone now. There are a few sites that I visit now, but the web is just not as cool as it used to be. It sucks when they shut down cool sites.

It is up to us to enforce the trade rules that we want to live by, and which will help to save and improve our world economy, we can even create new rules if we need them for our survival and betterment. And we must support a labor movement in China the same as we supported Lech Walesa and Poland, and we must support fair pay for workers globally, and we must have the same environmental protection rules globally for our planet.

As it says in the Foundation Trilogy by Issac Asimov, "Violence is the last refuge for the incompetent." Thus, there may be some saber rattling by the communist government of China before they relinquish power to the people, but it must be done not only to improve the situation for the people of China but also to help to save and improve our world economy. And ultimately it can all be done peacefully as was the case with Lech Walesa and Poland.

The Berlin Wall came down on November 9th, 1989, and look how fast the economy improved for Germany once East Germany was set free, in just twenty three years Germany has risen to become one of the wealthiest nations in the world, along with the fact that they have been enjoying freedom, democracy, and improved human rights, and a better quality of life. The situation would improve in China just as quickly if China obtained freedom, democracy, and improved human rights, along with fair pay and good treatment for the honest workers, and it would help to improve our entire world economy.

The USA, and the world, must come from a place of abundance.

In leadership training they told me to always come from a place of abundance, as opposed to scarcity. We can easily grow enough food to feed everyone on earth if we come from a place of abundance, as opposed to letting them starve as we come from a place of scarcity. And sometimes the way to improve things is to think big, even when times are hard and we are tempted to say that we cannot because of poverty. We can live in a world of abundance, and unlimited opportunity, or we can live in a world of scarcity where it just continues to get worse. And with leaders, say for a company, they want people who will make the company grow and prosper, not people who will keep downsizing it until it does not exist anymore. People want leaders who improve things, not make things worse.

With the bad economy, and with the giant debt of the United States, it would be so easy for everyone to downsize everything out of existence, which would only make things worse, at a time when we need to do the opposite and grow and prosper and improve things instead. A great depression is as much a state of mind as it is a reality, we cannot fall into that state of mind and we must avoid that reality.

We must come from a world of abundance and unlimited opportunity, and grow and prosper, and improve things, we must be creative in good ways and we must think big, and every problem creates an opportunity for people to solve the problems, and where there is room for improvement there is opportunity for people to improve things, etc etc etc.

I read that fewer people are willing to get student loans because they are afraid they will not be able to pay them off, and they are afraid to accrue the debt for an education, and that is totally the wrong way for them to be thinking right now, and at this time the USA needs to have a better educated and better trained population, and there will be plenty of opportunity for good educated people to solve problems and improve things after they receive an education. In my opinion the people of the United States need to enter college at higher numbers, not lower. Things are not going to get better if we have a lesser educated population, that is going in the wrong direction, we need a higher educated population instead. So we need to get them thinking from a place of abundance, so that we can achieve abundance, and a better economy and a better world.

And the whole thing with the debt of the United States could be solved if we come from a place of abundance. Much of the land of the United States is government owned land, we are talking abundance, and that land could be sold to private people, and that alone would pay off much of the government debt. The government can also make money with gas and oil leases at a time when gas and oil are at all time high prices, and drilling for natural gas and oil in the USA would be a good thing for many reasons. And that would help reduce the debt. Also, gold is at an all time high price right now, and there is gold on much of the government owned land, along with other precious metals. And that would help reduce the debt. If we come from a place of abundance then we can reduce the debt easily. Then, we monitor the spending of the government better in the future so that we can pass down surpluses to future generations instead of deficits.

And here are a couple of nice quotes...

"Do not worry that you do not have wealth, love, or high office, but instead spend your time making yourself worthy of wealth, love, and high office." - Confucius

"And then he has won, through his fantasy he has achieved that which before he had only in fantasy; wealth, honor, and the love of women." - Sanford Meisner (Who snagged it from Freud.)

I watched a wonderful documentary on PBS some time back, and it was about a lady who worked in a factory in Bangladesh making clothing, and it showed how she lived, she lived in a slum, she was eating rice and lentils and she could not even afford to eat meat with her dinner, and they brought her to the USA and they took her to a store which was selling the items she made, and she got to see the prices that the items were selling for in the USA, and she was blown away, and at the end of the documentary the lady went back to Bangladesh to become a union organizer. It was a great documentary.

Go union Norma Rae, all the way.

The workers of the world need to unionize. And it would help the world economy, along with the improved human rights which could be obtained in places such as China, and a fairer and more just world, etc.
