Ours involves spelling words in the snow, but I'd rather not tell how it's done.

Why is it hard for me to take interest in a story about a sports star having mistresses?   I will say, the fact that he's a golfer does at least provide a rich vein of lewd metaphors and puns.

Just his name alone, Tiger Wood(s), seems darn near perfect for that.   And I notice one of his dalliances, an older woman, has been referred to as "Tiger's cougar."

I guess it will be a while before we know how many holes he played.

"Note to Gate Crashers. If you must penetrate White House security, leave the reality-TV camera crews at home while you plan your crime at the hair salon. The Washington Post reports that investigators trying to piece together the chain of events for Michaele and Tareq Salahi's White House slip-in are having a much easier time of it, considering it's all on tape."

Very similar to the case of Kristy Lee Roshia, a square jawed blond with bangs and carefully chosen lipstick who writes love letters to the Secret Service.

What I have heard in the last half hour starting with Oh,yeah, true, the Obamas are going to Hawaii for Christmas(after all, when he was in high school, Barack probably has some happy memories of Christmas at Oahu with his grandparents(farmers from the Midwest often vacationed there in my lifetime's memory; which sometimes leads to retirement there.); and now that they are all grown up with children of their own, the Obamas have a vacation home there small but seeming larger because it emphasizes Outdoor living and brings the outdoors into the inside of the home.

Then the revolving news leads on the computer out of Washington,D.C. inform us that they may have to delay their outdoor inside lifestyle for Christmas Eve if the Senate dallies with offending us (especially those of us who are women).

Now, I don't want you to get me wrong on this, and that's double in spades, when I ask if you heard about the woman who wants to kill Michelle Obama?   I mean, the last threat that I heard of was just one of the guys who doubt that she did her undergrad and wrote a thesis for her degree in Sociology before she went from Princeton to Harvard for her work in Law, because she really feels "inferior" and maybe she wouldn't if she didn't try to go to school in places that are for white people to go to school, and she looks like a man and did you see the photo where she looks like a meth smoker and he approves of propagating the idea by seamy caricatures that she ought to have the shirt ripped off her back and be whipped by some big strong misfit who hangs out in escape forums.

Okay, I confess I did the same in passing along the work of R.Q. or was it R.T for Sarah Palin who was dressing dumb for big deals until John McCain started buying her clothes, and her favorite self portraits were of her lounging around on the big bear she shot and threw over the chaise longue, until somebody shot her in a bikini on a dock poised with a weapon, in her backyard of course where the Russians were watching, until it finally showed up, the full length dominatrix brunette who will do the whipping if any is required.

This whole thing was compiled by a woman (gee, I think it was Rebecca Traister but maybe not, seeing how Salon goes through multiple changes trying to find the right women who can write good copy, and thus far...everyone has a little hidden damage somewhere in her past and then something happens in the news and out it comes).

So forgive me, when I see this lead that states Woman wants to kill Michelle. And, I go, lordy, lordy, some woman in the Midwest who doesn't look like Rihanna wants to lay into Michelle and pull her hair and stomp her,  bruise her arms by hitting her with a chain (they,Republican white women anyway, actually complain about her showing her biceps, but I would have thought they might be intimidated by an athletic woman that tall who could probably challenge that black-belted KGB man Putin  with a shift of  her hip and a swing of her leg).

I wasn't far off, Kristy Lee Rosha the square-jawed blond with the bangs and perfect red lipstick has been calling out the Secret Service guys, plus the love-letters whatever that is about, and tells them if Michelle Obama comes to Hawaii  that will ruin KLR's Christmas and she will just have to kill Michelle.

Now that's a first, because usually it is some dude who goes: You Lie! and secretly wants to kill Obama but, he only tells his friends the truth.

Ms.Roshia is getting her wish, the Secret Service figured they ought to pick her up for Christmas.

Ps. Did I tell you the one about Bar and Poppy and how their pet matched  maltipoos got their name?

(in other words, she absolutely lost control of her habit, ruined the Christmas show for some very young children  and had to be escorted away by the police)

All this blather about Sarah Palin being hot -- put her next to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and you will see her for the gussied-up yokel that she is.

I didn't find that necessary - I saw her as a dressed-up yokel from the beginning.  Love the way you put that - very pithy.  She's the pageant cow gone rogue in her red flannel hunting shirt.

Did any of you see that photo of her on Newsweek she threw such a fit about?  She was wearing coffee colored panty hose under her running shorts!  Talk about make you look like you're about 80 years old.

Isn't anyone besides me upset about Brittany Murphy's death?  I was a fan of hers - loved her Luanne Platter and thought she was a really great actress.

Agree - it was untimely and sad.   I don't expect Mike Judge will be making any more KOTH episodes now, but it's still sad to think that now there couldn't be a return of Luanne.

Custody fight big time, Bristol wanted a closed hearing but Levi did not because Bristol's lawyer is Sarah's lawyer and Levi was worried they would misrepresent his testimony. (They being Sarah's lawyer and Sara.)  Bristol is rightly more worried about the future.

Which reminds me, barton, which way would you vote whether I should bring a slander suit?

Slander suit?  Is that like a Nehru jacket?

Barton, is this the pic that triggered your fatherly concerns for Knightley's eating habits, whilst performing in The Misanthrope?

Yes, Knox, it had the Nehru jacket and those cute little variation-not-quite-harem pants but neither is it a dhoti, which my Austrian friend showed me how to make and wear when she was going back and forth to India during the Seventies before she was married. Maybe a little bit more like dancing girls wear?

If you'd prefer, I could just post the requirements for non-fashion suits that I acquired back about the time everybody(not quite)was discussing Bolano in Latin-American literature.

Ps. I didn't even know Knightley did The Misanthrope. How did I miss that? By not reading the nytimes.com sufficiently.

(And The Daily Telegraph, the Independent, the Observor, The Mail, or The Guardian)

I was into that more at least a year ago but then realized the mind-set in the commentary is so often just twiddle and eventually I read only the Horoscopes which is as it should be because there was enough happening here with which to keep up.
