The winter of 2011-2012 is already among the top 20 warmest in historical memory,

#####

Of course it's the fault of my car and airconditioners, couldn't possibly just be the cycle of the world's weather.

Couldn't possibly just be "Drought and flooding rains".

Russia today is frozen, bye bye food crops and income.
Europe is frozen, bye bye food crops and economies.

Looks like many more in the world will be going hungry.

And you know who to blame.

Russia and Europe are supposed to be frozen at the beginning of February. The funny side to the article is that I just watched something about Alaska having one of the worst winters on record --- the warm winter is the east coast of America  ... It's a shallow argument for "man-made climate change" ...

Alaska is having a snowy winter because it's a La Nina year, which pumps Pacific moisture.  La Nina effects vary as you go east....either wetter or dryer, depending on your latitude and where the jet streams are hanging.  We're getting very dry and sunny and warm here on the central Plains -- spoiling the crap out of us.  First actual winter storm is due tomorrow and everyone's golfing and rollerblading and saying, "whaaa--?"

La Nina...coldest and wettest January [middle of summer] in Sydney for over a decade.

Now the floods are back, NW NSW and SW Qld all flooded.

Weezo, your new Professor buddy was saying a few years ago "climate change" "global warming" it will never rain again like it has in the past".
He should go back to PNG and stay there!

Bambu, not sure Flannery us a "new professor buddy" ... I read and enjoyed one of his books .... and, I did notice two things ... he was far more upset over the death of a couple of tree kangaroos that died shortly after extensive contact, than he was for the people he infected by contact ... Typical Aussie!!!

Weezo,

Kokoda Track...PNG...where 'only' the natives are able to dwell IMO...in the "heat, humidity, primitive conditions, some of the most punishing and inaccessible terrain on earth".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjBu-zRAB_o

4m 50 sec along the light plane lands and the trek begins...along the track where if the emotion of following in the footsteps of the small band of ill-equiped and poorly-trained young Aussie militia who
"slogged for days over the mountians to meet the enemy at Kokoda" doesn't see one go down.....or the mud, steep terrain, rain, jungle [oh the horror of it all] don't do the same...one might emerge 'a better person' or not.
...if it all doesn't kill one first!

A 9 video in youtube trek.

The part I particularly post this for is in this video, part 5

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suFdOl5s3vc

3m 15 sec along

Ovoru Indiki...PNG native...one of the "Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels" who were carriers and stretcher bearers for Aussie troops.

Ovoru Indiki [and all his ilk], wounded, saved the lives of many Diggers.
Look at all the medals he's wearing...not one from the Australian govt.
All the medals donated by trekkers and grateful citizens, ...war medals, police bravery medals, the Australian Army badge at the front of his hat.

On the issue of Syria...

The people of Turkey will send guns to the people of Syria, no doubt about it. And the people of Turkey have been smuggling guns into China for the people of China for years. Turkey can help the people of Syria, and probably will.

Salute,

Help the people of Syria do what, get themselves all slaughtered by Assad and co?

If he's kicked out, who will replace him?
The MuBros as in Egpyt?

Where's the Muslim/Christian interfaith/secular democracy all the rioters wanted there?

I have posted this before, but I will post it again... Here is a link for a thread that I started on Topix about God, I began the thread with a link for a video that my friend Charley shot of me talking about miracles which God has given me in my life...

When God gives a person miracles, then I feel like it is a person's duty to tell people and to share the truth that God is real and that miracles happen for those who believe. God is awesome. I am so grateful that my mother raised me with a good Christian foundation, and I am so grateful that I have always had God in my life. God has walked with me through some very hard times, and I am so grateful that God has always been with me.

All the best,

God found me a good job...that was a miracle.
God worked a miracle when the brakes on my very old car failed going down a hill in a busy suburb in rush hour traffic, when I was 19...as I weaved in and out of the traffic working the gears and handbrake and didn't hit anything.
Then God found me a very good wife...another miracle.
God showed me how to play the 'office workplace' game and bluff my way for several decades in it...a miracle for sure and certain.
God gave me a lovely mother-in-law who sees me with a halo shining, a miracle many of my friends didn't receive.

Grow up.

Not so, I tried to make my own, and failed miserably.
Love and society's reject. Smiley
True.
I'd given up on love and society, rejected at every turn, determined to 'hate' women and 'society' [then run by men] for the rest of my life.
Tyrant headmasters and bullying school students, tyrant bank manager bosses, bullying and harassing co-workers, and hateful residents of the town/suburb...
...oh tolerance wherefore art thou?
Tyrant govt and Vietnam war conscription/draft registration...'Nazi Germany'.
"All the way with LBJ" baaah!

Oh the screaming matches in the family home lounge room!
Then booted out of home.

Yes, bambu, 'the biggest disappointment';

I wasn't the only one... 'society' and the 'hatefuls' were nasty to Slim too...he sang a song about it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cNr4FMWtMI

Slim Dusty - The Biggest Disappointment.

Then, when bambu was in the depths of despair, the miracles started flowing:

12 months later, frau mommy found the courage to stamp her foot down against tyrant husband, and demanded that her 'baby boy' be returned home.
So bambu moved back to the family home.

Then not long after that, the phone rang one night , and bambu was sought as a partner for a girl at a debutante ball.
He refused...he was made feel guilty by his mom that he was ruining the dream of the girl who wanted to make her debut into 'society' with her cousin.
He only attended the first rehearsal to please his mom who had earlier stomped her foot.

At the hall he was introduced to the girl who'd be his partner for the ball.
A pretty, smiling, just lovely 17 yr old Christian girl who'd recently arrived in the big city from the country.
Having no money much, at the final rehearsal he asked the girl to go on a picnic the next weekend...she agreed.

Gotta love those miracles from God. Smiley

The girl's parents thought bambu was a lovely young man, and invited him to their family home in the country for the looming Christmas holidays.

Miracles from God exist! Smiley

Bambu,

One of the guys on facebook posted this link and asked if people were really this "deceived and delusional"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t6npABeFcI

So far, I've said I believe Australians are emotional, and that in the "followers" I don't see a single dark face ....

What's up? Supposedly, the guy died and resurected in the spring of last year.
