Today, Giants O-Line coaches Pat Flaherty and Dave DeGuglielmo were at Northern Iowa's Pro Day. Interestingly, they were not as much there to see All-American LOT Chad Rhinehart, as much as they were checking out Right Tackle Brandon Keith.

Northern Iowa was fortunate enough to have both starting O Tackles at the Combines. Keith really did incredible today. He was 6'5 1/4" and weighed 345 (he was 343 at the Combines-where he lifted the 225lbs 31 times) Keith was timed at 4.96 in the forty, 4.82 in the short shuttle, and 7.91 in the 3 cone. More importantly, he looked very fluid in all the drills. Rhinehart hurt himself at the Pro Day today, at one point falling over his own feet in a drill.

Keith should be moving up after those numbers (he was previously considered a 6th rounder), though he really hurt himself about 10 days ago, when he got arrested with 2 other players in a late night brawl.

In my book, that raises his value.   You gotta be a mean sumbitch on the line in the NFL, especially these days.

You have a book?  Or are you speaking from experience on the line in the NFL, penisbreath?

In Utley's book, the term "penisbreath" is a come on.

Forget about the road uni's, I love the new avatar.  Is that in tribute to Chuck or something?

You know, I think Roddy McDowell may be dead too...

Can't believe  how pathetic the draft chatter has been.  See the NFL forum for my top ten impact rookies of next year.

As for the Giants, I am hoping for Phillips (some hope) or Groves (slim hope)  or Jerod Mayo (teeniest of thread hopes), but will be fine with X-man, or even Dan Conner at #31.

My early 53 man roster projection for the SB champs, looks lie it is talented enough for a repeat run.

I cannot see the 3 big FA picks making the team as upgrades. More insurance picks before the draft. All 3 should be battling for roster spots. I hope jload beats Carr and Hall beats Moss. I can see a full time snapper returning.

Roster
