No, I watched the whole game. Just checkin the Highlight reel and a bit pissed that ESPN has Duke up their ass so far if ESPN and opened its mouth and you looked in the adams apple would look like Krzyzewski's ugly puss.

Even the next day the headline reads about 'Despite Zions 35 points blah blah blah' with a picture of the Duke player. Where's Battle's picture? He had a phenomenal game going inside and out all night long.

No idea who that is, but Hubie and Doris Burke really grate on me.

Generally I listen to a game with the sound off and music on,
Or in the case of Clyde and Breen, the sound down and music equal volume.

Really wish there was an option to listen to the game sound -- crowd, refs, players -- and mute the announcers.  That'd be my preference.

While I appreciate that, well, we have to beat Duke sometime, might as well do it in the Regional Final, it does stick in the craw, to beat Meatchicken thrice, once to win the regular season, once to win the league tournament,  and watch them get an appreciably easier path to the Final Four than we get.

I think the idea was to set up the 3 to win rather than risk OT agaisnt a better team. Probably the coach's call.

My Dad is a Seton Hall alum, and since retiring he's gotten into the nostalgia and lore.  I had never in this lifetime heard of Wofford. 
I watched a 10 min youtube highlight reel, so we can chat about it when he calls on the weekend.

Some guy with the unlikely name of Fletcher Magee hits crazy 3's and sets the all-time NCAA 3-point record for a career.
It's a 1 pt game with 4:38 left and then Wofford goes on a 17-0 crunchtime run.  Yikes x 17.
The Hall finally score again on a dunk with 26 seconds left.
Guess it's more likely Myles Powell will return as a senior now.

Ridiculous finish.  It really showcased the top three talents on Duke when they went down 74-70 with under two to go.   First Cam Reddish with the individual heroics nailing a three pointer with 1:41 to go.

Later, with his team down three, Duke clears his side of the court and ZiZionon takes it to the hoop beating his defender and then making a high degree of difficulty lay up vs the 7'6" Tacko Fall and fouling him out in the process.

After Zion misses the and-1  RJ Barrett swooped in as hero with the offensive rebound and difficult put back. 

UCF had multiple chances to win the game with late paint scoring opportunities but couldn't convert.

Talent will out.

So ESPN was talking today about how the tournament needs to be extended further into April because they really need best of three so you're sure to get the true champion. Why? Because their Duke Zion Williamson narrative fell apart.

The tournament became the torment for them.

But what MAKES the tournament great is that is one and done.

I don't follow college ball much at all, but the lack of upsets seems rather rare.

IIRC I had 12 of the Sweet 16 teams

and ended up with a Final Four

of a

Udoka Azubuike with what must be an extremely rare feat.
His FG% was more than double his FT%.  70.5% to 34.4%, respectively.
Only played in 9 games his Jr year due to a wrist injury.   
Maybe he hurt his wrist dunking so much, that he couldn't make his FT's(?)

They attract money and attention to the predominantly white universities that showcase them, while HBCUs struggle. What would happen if they collectively decided to go to black schools?

I started reading this a little skeptically.
But was won over by midway through.

What it might take is getting LeBron or recently retired Wade to recruit kids to a black university.  That'd make it easier.

St Mary's handles Gonzaga on Gaels senior night

Went out 15-5 and Zags never got within less than  after that.  36-21 at half.  St Marys an interesting team as usual.  MEN playing against (often) boys.

Was going to watch Keegan Murray and Iowa but got a glimpse of the final score, spoiled it (Iowa wins by ten).  Murray is right in line with where the Knicks pick.  6-8 can play big or small.  Good talent.
