Bambu is staunchly against the death penalty, admirably. But when the police apply it extrajudicially, especially in light of the recipient having a "long criminal record", it doesn't seem to bother him quite as much. I guess the "long criminal record" gives the police, by definition "good guys" (in a simpleton's world ), a license to kill.

George Floyd's death at the hands of Chauvin was tragic...but he was no saint.
If he'd forced his way into my home I would've shot him dead, along with his accomplices...my assault rifle on "auto".
If I were living in America.
Living in Australia I would have no such choice. I would have to cower in a closet, run out the back door and try to escape, or greet the invaders with kind words, hoping they wouldn't harm me, and my family.

He did not break into your house. He was executed by the police. For some reason that never seems to bother you.

I understand that "they started it" is an appealing philosophy and that it makes one feel they're on God's side. But it never really gets you anywhere.
