My favorite part of the games this weekend was the ongoing discussions between the various broadcasters (with attempted straight faces and not a chuckle in their voices) about what the Yankees had to do to "get back into the race."  Why is it that announcers are so fearful of calling the Yankees a terrible team with vastly overrated talent. 

Yesterday's game wasn't lost in the 8th inning.  It was lost by runners getting picked off and the continued inability of Stanton to drive in runners from third with less than two out.

Back when elba was formed there were so many Yankees and Mets fans here. And a few more Sox fans, too. There was only ever one Phillies fan, and there is still the CFB fan who drops by with useless commentary regarding the Cleveland team.

Now, there are no Mets fans, only Yankguy is left from the Bronx cheering section, but two years ago, he became a Nats fan, also...

As far as loyal fans I don't think anyone beats banks or myself. We are here thru thick or thin.

But he is an AL fan, where they stopped playing baseball in the early 70's.

So, I'm the only real baseball fan left here.

And what will take me out of the ballgame is this suck-ass commissioner and the worst umpiring crews ever assembled.

They are horrible.

What are the odds of the only real baseball fan knowing nothing about the sport he professes to be the only real fan of?  They must be astronomical.

I happen to really be a huge fan of Women's Beach volleyball, but as its under-televised, and not part of my cable offerings, baseball became my fall-back sport.

Fantasy baseball got nothing on Fantasy Women's Beach volleyball.
