Permit valuations totaled nearly $27.32 million for 2024 so far, compared with $11.55 million in the comparable 2023 period, according to the April report from the city of Elko Building.

--------

Battle Mountain has the best deal on land in the USA at $1,000 per acre, but for those who wish to study then the college is in Elko, and Elko is growing at twice the pace of last year.

As Elko grows then they can bring in fun architects from Greece, etc, and they need lots of libraries, and tennis courts, and swimming pools, etc.

The college in Elko is the Great Basin College, and I went there one day just to look at it when I was in the area, I drove up and looked at the college, and then I went to a casino named the Commercial to have lunch, they have a giant stuffed polar bear at the Commercial, it is pretty cool, and I won $25 on a slot machine so that paid for lunch.

And Elko has the Cowboy Poetry Festival.

Elko is a good spot with a good college, and the land is cheap.

The Boy Scouts of America is no longer, it is now just Scouts of America. Sad. I was a Cub Scout and it was all about doing good things, and our pledge was to do our duty for God and our Country. I was a Cub Scout in Jefferson, Oregon, as a child, and we picked up trash in a rain storm one day and then when we came back soaken wet the Girl Scouts made us hot chocolate. The Cub Scouts was great, I wish we could preserve it for the youth of the future. Now it is just "Scouts of America."

Meanwhile, at least Disney is doing great, and Disney is going to invest $2 Billion here in Anaheim, so that is good.

I finished reading "Screenplay, The Foundations of Screenwriting" by Syd Field, and it is a good book, it was worth reading. And at the end it tells you that you might spend 2 years writing a script that you might never get made into a film, but it is a gamble we must take if we are writers, and if we succeed then it is a dream come true.

The next book that I am going to read is "Lew Hunter's Screenwriting 434."

George Lucas attended USC film school, and Pepperdine is a Christian college, Jews are involved with Chapman film school, and Harvard is Harvard, etc. We have great schools in the USA.

We cannot let a few bad apples make everyone else look bad. Our universities are fantastic, the USA has the best schools in the world.

And now Mexico is working harder to make Mexico nice, Mexico is ashamed of the murders. Mexico wants trade and tourism, and Mexico wants to have a good relationship with Australia.

A condo penthouse just sold for $24 million in Hollywood. I would like to have a condo penthouse at Empire West in Hollywood where Suzanne Pleshette and Hal Needham lived, it would be cool to have a penthouse on the top floor, and the building is full of people from the entertainment industry so you can make movies and television shows with your neighbors.

Bambu, the USA is the only nation in the world with a Statue of Liberty welcoming the people from everywhere, where all men are equal, and where we all have good human rights. The USA is for everyone.

And education is very important, and we need to train teachers, doctors, psychiatrists, etc.

It is hard in America, but I have also experienced some great times, I lived on the beach in Cape Canaveral for 1 year as a teen, and then later I lived on the beach in Malibu for 1 year. And Anaheim is nice, it will be better when I have money and a wife, and when I can write and produce movies and television shows, etc.

And of note, the Japanese need to back off and just leave us alone, Paramount was for sale for $11 Billion which would have been great for Mel Gibson, Arnold, Sly, Manny Pacquiao, and those guys to buy, but then Sony comes in with the Japanese and they offer $36 Billion for Paramount, and Sony already owns a big studio in Culver City, I do not want for the Japanese to buy Paramount.

We have people coming to California from all over the world, and I do not want to work for the Japanese, and I do not want to pay rent to the Japanese, I do not like the Japanese Business Model, I like the Italians and the French Business Model better, especially for Art, and I do not want for the Japanese to own the apartment complexes and the movie studios. Meanwhile, maybe we can open Las Vegas American Owned Casinos all over Japan, the fuckers want to buy everything here, let us open a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino right in the middle of Tokyo, Japan, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, etc, etc, etc. It is only fair. And we can open McDonald's all over Japan, and 7-Eleven and Circle K, etc. And we can sell the Japanese Kellogg's Pop Tarts, etc.

Anyhow Bambu, the USA is for everyone, and I support education for our people. It is hard sometimes, like now with the Japanese, and with the problems in the Middle East affecting people here, but Arnold lives here in California and other great people, Spielberg lives in Santa Monica, California is a nice place. We just need to work to make it nicer. And read about Roseto, Pennsylvania and the "Roseto Effect."

And Biden needs to go to the Russian Tea Room in New York City to spend an evening, and also NASA can help, and the Ballet, etc, and the Actor's Studio can help, etc, Biden can deepen his understanding of Russia and we can find helpers.

And I support the United Nations, and Kiwanis International, and UNICEF, and the Peace Corps, etc. And Youth For Christ. And Pope Francis.

Salute,

Tony V.

We need to nurture a Christian hippy movement...

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/0000017c-9fe5-dea7-a97e-fff52f040000-123

And Roseto, Pennsylvania, had zero crime, and they were healthier, because they had a good sense of community, we need to foster a movement where people love and help their neighbors, that is what Jesus is all about, and Matthew 25; 31-46, and if that happens then crime will go down. Imagine if all of these prisons had to be bull-dozed because of a lack of criminals. If people love their neighbors then they will not be committing crimes against them.

They keep hiring more police, but crime keeps going up, the answer is to bring in teachers, and preachers, etc, and build schools and churches instead of prisons. And we need to stop focusing on what divides us, and we need to look for good things that we agree on, such as feeding hungry children and teaching people how to read and write, etc. Christians are all about love.

And as we help the homeless, as Mayor Bass is doing now, then that is what God wants, God wants for us to help the homeless, and crime will go down as we help the homeless.

We can also win China over for Christ, etc, and we need to broadcast old re-runs of the Hour of Power with Robert Schuller and also re-runs of Dr Charles Stanley, onto their televisions, and we need to find new living preachers to preach on televisions around the world.

And we have Father Boyle and Homeboy Industries to help to teach people to turn away from gangs and crime. And we also have Boy's Town, etc.

San Bernardino is a ghetto now, and Oakland is bad, the answer is with Father Boyle and with Homeboy Industries, and bringing in the Christians to help the people.

And Mayor Bass is paying Social Workers $75,000 per year now to help the homeless, that is awesome. And San Diego State University is the best at training Psychiatrists.

We can build Medical Schools in Kentucky, etc, and we can teach the people how to read and we can build libraries for them. The Coal Miner's Daughter can be a Doctor. The coal mining jobs are not coming back, and we need doctors, and teachers, and psychiatrists, etc.

Now Santa Joe wants Hamas here.

The Biden administration is considering bringing certain Palestinians to the U.S. as refugees, a move that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of those fleeing war-torn Gaza, according to internal federal government documents obtained by CBS News. Egypt does not want them ,Lebanon does not want them, Jordan as well. Almost guaranteed Civil war after a year.

For the refugee children from the Middle East, then the children need to be totally removed from war and violence, Kiwanis International can bring the children and their families to the Kiwanis Village in Victoria, British Columbia, and they can work peaceful jobs in the forest industry, etc, and the radios can play peaceful happy music, and they can watch Hallmark Movies and the children can watch Disney cartoons, etc.

https://www.kiwanisvictoria.ca/projects/kiwanis-village

The children are innocent, and the children need to be removed from the conflict, and the forest of Canada is a good safe place for the children.

If people are looking for a good low budget Western to produce then there is the Slocum series of novels by Jake Logan, it would make a great adult Western to produce. They have over 400 Slocum novels.

As Newsom gives tax breaks to film and television producers, then the Slocum Westerns is one idea of something great to film.

Blessed are the peacemakers. Certainly there must be justice, but not just continuous murder. Bring in Father Boyle from Homeboy Industries and let him give his point of view on the conflict in the Middle East.

And send the refugees from the Middle East to the forest of Canada to the Kiwanis Village in Victoria, British Columbia.

For those in the USA, land in Battle Mountain, Nevada, is the best deal in the USA on land for $1,000 per acre, and it is good land where people can have families, and the schools are good, etc. They can raise pigs and they can sell pork to China Town in San Francisco. And they can have libraries, and tennis courts, and swimming pools, etc.

And we need to make our immigrants legal like Reagan did so that they can join labor unions, and so they can call the police in the case of an emergency.

Of note, Newsom lowered taxes for film and television producers in California, so that is cool, we will have lots more jobs. And Paramount is for sale, would love to see Mel Gibson, Arnold, Sly, and those guys buy Paramount, with the help of Manny Pacquiao and wealthy people from the Philippines. And Disney is spending billions in Anaheim, and they are investing in Hollywood Blvd, etc.

On the issue of Russia, Biden needs to go spend an evening at the Russian Tea Room in New York City at Central Park and let them teach him and he needs to learn. Also, NASA can help, and the New York Ballet can help, and the Actor's Studio can help, etc. And we need to elevate the great people while we send Putin to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

On the issue of Cuba, it is time to lift the Embargo, it is time for normal relations with Cuba. Biden needs to lift the Embargo on Cuba.

On the issue of Iran, people need to think about what a good Iran would look like, people need to think about how the future can be, if you could make anything happen then how would you save Iran and give them all good human rights, etc?

And I support the United Nations. And UNICEF. And Kiwanis International. And the Peace Corps.

Jessica Chastain attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts around the same time that I did, and she produced "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" herself. I took the same route after the AADA and tried to produce a film named "Echo, A Rock and Roll Tragedy" which Hugh Hefner liked and we almost got it made if we could have found a director who Hef knew and trusted. I never was able to get my film made, but I will keep trying. I live by Chapman film school, and maybe I can meet a connection there to help me to make my film, or sell it and let someone else do it. If my dream came true then I would like to move into a bungalow office at Universal Studios in Hollywood and just live there while I make my film. We will see what happens. Meanwhile, it is nice to see Chastain succeed.

And on the issue of the movie about a civil war in the USA with California and Texas rebelling, that is just shit. Here is a better idea, make a movie about Christian hippies taking over Iran and making Iran into a Christian hippy commune with peace and love, and wealthy from oil money. Give the world a new vision on what Iran can become. Let Hollywood dream about what Iran can become.

Roseto, Pennsylvania, became the source of scientific study when it became known that they had the lowest number of heart attacks in the nation, and then as they dug deeper they learned that Roseto also had zero crime. The answer was that Roseto had a population of Italian-Americans who were all good neighbors and they worked together and they ate together, and they had a good community, and their good sense of community was the reason why they were healthier and had less crime. And in Italy, they are healthier and have less crime, the Italians brought their culture to Roseto, Pennsylvania, and the residents all lived longer and had less crime.

There are a lot of sad stories out there on the streets and in the homeless shelters, there are abused women, and orphans who were never adopted, etc, and another sad group is the people who became homeless because of grief. I met homeless men who became homeless because of grief after their wives died, they loved their wives so much that they gave up on life and they just wanted to die after their wives died. So, along with psychiatrists, and groups to help the abused women, and groups to help the orphans, then there also needs to be Grief Councilors for people who are suffering because of Grief. It is good that Mayor Bass is helping the homeless, and it is good that experts are being trained on how to best help the homeless.

Bambu, sadly 3 surfers were killed in Mexico, 2 from Australia and their 1 friend from California. The bad guys were captured because they had a cell phone from one of the victims.

Yes Tony, it's been all over my news for days.
Some sort of drug cartel area they stumbled into while surfing.
Two very nice and new looking truck/ SUV they were driving.
Where in Mexico isn't a drug cartel area.
They obviously hadn't  been paying attention to what goes on in Mexico.
Their families are devastated.
I do wish people would consider their families before they go taking unnecessary risks with their lives.

On the bright side, at least they captured the bad guys, and there will be justice.

Acapulco used to be nice, watch "Fun in Acapulco" starring Elvis Presley. And now Mexico is building high speed trains, and new airports, and new resorts, and they are investing in their ports, and they are expanding trade, etc. Lots of progress is happening in Mexico. I live 100 miles away from Mexico, here in Anaheim, and I went to Mexico as a teen with Youth For Christ, and I felt safe in Mexico, I was never scared, I saw extreme poverty though, the Catholic Church was doing good work in Mexico at the orphanages that I went to.

It is horrible that the surfers were murdered, but it is good that the bad guys were captured and there will be justice.

My Mother went to Mexico to buy land for a resort for a real estate company, and she had an armed body guard with her group, they had a licensed body guard who carried a gun. And back then the movie studios were all buying land in Mexico, they wanted to make movies and television shows in Mexico for Latin America. I think Bogota, Colombia, would be a good place for a movie and television studio too for Latin America.

If we can change how people think and feel, then we can change how they behave. Movies, television shows, music, poetry, etc, can all change how people think and feel and thus can change how people behave.

And we need to always have justice for all, the bad guys need to always be captured and punished.

There is a lot of beauty, and good Christian people, in Latin America, we cannot let a few bad apples give everyone a bad name. We need to nurture the beauty in Latin America, instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water. And lots of money is being invested in Mexico right now, and they are hard workers and money has power in Mexico. In 20 years Mexico will be great, and the people from Minnesota will want to retire to a cheap beach in Mexico where they can live in paradise on a low budget. School teachers from Minnesota will be able to retire to a nice beach in Mexico in 20 years and it will be nice.
