The list has some very good candidates to have statues to put up in prominent public spaces.

The race stratification statuary should all come down and be stored in collections to study with contextualized public displays for portions of it. Significant in that is preserving them in their current state of repair with all visual comments appended by the forces of history, such as a head removed, or drag marks, or BLM and other messages added in paint to preserve for history not only the oppressive mythologizing and air of terror these images represent but the moment that the individual icon’s power to extend the old order stopped, as signified by their defacement.

But, while I am certain that he believes we would be best off with him for another couple terms (as he has suggested, he's "owed" a make-up term!), his beliefs are not everybody's. Further., he could withdraw from the race despite that bogus sentiment if he becomes convinced that he would lose.

It would not be a "real" withdrawal, but something akin to bonespurs. With sadness and regret, he must withdraw from the playing field, for the good of the country.
