I wonder if Kid actually thinks that calling Alex Cora by his brother's name is amusing.

So was there a fallout amongst fans, press, etc over JOEY's decision to pitch to Giancarlo last night?

People who make personal in jokes that amuse only themselves and run them into the ground are pathetic.

Bradley Zimmer homered off his brother Kyle yesterday. Fun fact: the last.person to hit a homer off his brother was 1976, when Joe Neikro hit a homer off his brother Phil. It was also the only home run of Joe Neikro's career.

Very cool.  No Brett vs Brett, I guess.  I wonder if Kenny walked George.

Well, here it is (assumed accurate - no homer mentioned)

TIL George Brett faced his brother, Ken, 20 times throughout their careers
George went 6 for 20 against his older brother

Ken unfortunately died of brain cancer in 2003 at the age of 55.

Season on the line.

Sure do miss Rhys Hoskins and Zac Eflin.

Yeah, Elfin loss killed you the other day when Phils were shut out

Heh

Pulling this week for Harper, surely.  Wouldn't mind seeing him in a full series.

MLB has to be ecstatic to get this type 6-game finish in AL WC and in NL East/West this year.  Rule changes paying dividends.
