Blue Jays looked pretty flat against the Twins tonight in losing their second game in a row.

I don't know that it is more than a blip, but they don't have time for a lot of blips.

margin for blips is getting pretty thin.

BJs still have 3 against the Ys that give them some blip recovery

Down by 6, win by 6.

Could be setting up for a showdown in Atlanta.

Knowing the Phils they will catch Atlanta, then lose the Division in Florida  on the last weekend as the Marlins have their number.

If only Hopkins and Eflin didn't get hurt....and they had a real closer, which they've lacked all season long.

From MLB dot com:

"Castrovince: I actually had a card printed out that explained every team but Kiermaier pocketed it!"

Red Sox did not look good against the Yankees tonight.

They had best bounce back in the next game.

Toronto still did not look great.

Seattle looked beatable, but held on to win tonight, staying 2 behind the Yankees.

Loved it when Keith Hernandez commented in those Bosox unis this week.

"It looks like they're wearing some kind of dessert!"

Haven't seen such silly uniforms in baseball since those ChiSox softball duds in the 70's!

Evo had nothing last night and he and the Sox got pounded.

Here's hoping they bounce back today with a better effort and a W.

and their traditional home whites.

I didn't mind the UCLA/San Diego Charger California mellow yellows.

But as the eminent baseball philosopher Crash Davis once sagely opined,

"never fuck with a winning streak"

Looks like the Ukrainian baseball team!

Unprofessional look, for sure.

This is probably before your time, but almost 50 years ago, the 1972-74 Oakland As wore similarly striking bright gold and green uniforms in an otherwise fashion drab MLB.

And they won 3 World Series in such fashion forward garb.

BTW I'm not familiar with Ukrainian baseball.

Roliie Fingers, Catfish Hunter. Some guy named Reggie, Vida Blue (but with no canary yellow)...I think I remember them well.

And those Uniforms were still quite professional looking.

But the Boston uni, now? Tweety Bird meets the Smurfs!

Two players, two games, four teams, and three cities. One baseball day.
