heh

Like with every close vote

Certainly 3 worthy candidates.  This one is not to be put up to critics.  Burnes got it.  Move on.

Pretty funny from somebody who was denying the election results were final for so long.

Well, they got the NL MVP, right.

Much to Nats fans' chagrin.

If only ownership had not been so cheap. They could've had Soto, Harper, Mad Max, Turner...

It would be pretty funny if Shildt won the Manager award after having been fired. I think it will be Kapler. In the AL, the Mariner's skipper would be my bet.

If somebody other than Ohtani wins the MVP I'd be surprised. Harper looks likely to win in the NL.

I'm thinking Ray and Burnes for Cy Young.

Franco would be my ROY bet. I have no opinion in the NL contest.

I wonder when and for whom the Manager of the Year and MVP awards will be named. It seems inevitable, though I could see them giving the two MVP awards different names.

Got one manager and both Cy Youngs. Missed on ROY in the AL and didn't even take a shot on the NL. 3/5 or 3/6 depending on how you count the NL ROY refusal to hazard a guess.

Wonder who gets the MVP and if I can stay at at least .500.

5 correct guesses out of 7 tries and 8 possibilities.

I can live with that!

It's like they never heard of the horror stories based on rebuilding on sacred Indian burial grounds.

Hof The Golden Era 2021 ballot

Wish they'd update it to have the 2021 ballot instead of the 2015 ballot!

Dick Allen

Gil Hodges
Jim Kaat
Roger Maris
Minnie Minoso

If this doesn't work fuck it.

Its tough with the borderline guys, as you can always find the pros and cons.

I'd probably vote for Allen now. I never thought Kaat was a HoF pitcher, for most of his career he wasn't an all-star pitcher., but he was good and pitched forever, and he was a pretty good TV analyst and I got his autograph as a kid.

Oliva was real good, but never thought he was a HoFer at the time he played, but don't have any strong argument against.

Except IMO all these guys lower the bar a little.

I'd probably vote for Minoso as a pioneering Latin player who I remember as exciting and a one of a kind guy which he kind of was in the AL). Played with speed, a singles doubles guy, with some power, and could flash leather.  and probably opened doors for the great Latin players that came after him.

Re:  Minoso, Oliva

Well, you just know it (HOF entry) is going to become a diversity thing - as everything.

Especialy with a select group of voters, easy to see this occurring.
