Lots of changes ahead in MLB!
Three wild card teams, not just one or two. Two first round byes, with the other four teams in a pair of 3-game series. The team with the better record in the first round hosts all three games. The link explains both the changes and what some prior seasons would have looked like:
https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/what-the-new-12-team-mlb-playoffs-will-look-like-and-how-it-would-have-looked-in-recent-years/
Who do you think will win in each division and of those who will get to miss the first round? Who will the 2022 wild cards be?
And who comes out of each round?!
Plus, of course, who do you think will win the World Series?
Any other predictions you would care to make about the season? MVPs and Cy Youngs for either or both leagues? RoY? Managers who will get fired during the season? Any records that might get broken?
Does Chris Sale look like Chris Sale when he pitches this year or will he resemble chris sale instead? Anybody going to threaten 61 homers for the season (which is still the non-steroid mark). Other thoughts?

I'm not ready to post my full predictions for the season, though I will get it done before the first game of the season.
I can say, now, that I have a hard time seeing the Red Sox winning their division as the teams are currently constituted. Not enough starting pitching and JBJ would have to return to the 2020 or 2016 versions of himself for me to see the Sox as more than a wild card team. I expect them to make the playoffs. Not sure how far they will go, but that will come as part of my bigger predictions post.

I predict than none of them end up on the DL.
The IL is a different issue.

The Giants and Braves come out of the WC series.
The Dodgers come out of the Division Series. If the Giants play the Dodgers, they lose. If they play anybody else, they win.
The Brewers come out of the Division Series unless they play the Giants (or the Dodgers, if they are not the #2 seed).
Dodgers win the NLCS, regardless of opponent.
Red Sox win the rematch, much to the Dodgers' chagrin, and are World Series Champions again.
Chris Sale as AL comeback player of the year.
Devers as AL MVP. Ohtani 2nd.
Giolito as AL Cy Young
Acuna as NL MVP
Wheeler as NL Cy Young
-
What a fucking homer. You should be ashamed of the wish fulfillment bull shit.
-
He can get 20-1 on Devers MVP
I got similar (22) on Judge.
-

If I were a Cleveland fan, I might change a little, but not a lot. Might have chosen a Guardian for Cy Young and for the Jays to beat the Red Sox in the ALCS. And it's not like I chose them to win the division!
Or as the saying goes, at least I have something to be a homer about!
But really... given the rich rewards of making accurate predictions here vs. the costs of inaccurate ones, I can live with the heavy burden of being accused of being a homer.
-
Rays-Twins
Padres- Dbacks
toughest choices for me
Mariners and Nats also tough to leave out

About as seriously as I take predictions here?
I'm quite definitely a homer, but there are years in which even I can't come up with an excuse to expect the Red Sox to win much!

Josh really likes this year's Sox team.
Tis fine.
Barnes will need to save 45. Verdugo go 20/20. A few other things.
Over 85.5? I guess.
Playoff team? Lots of luck.
I have NY 8 games better.

If kid has NY 8 games better, take the under.

New bet
22-1 AL MVP - Judge

Lost big payout last night as Wheeler could not beat Mets - a Phils put up the donut
Today:
Braves, Doddgers, Cubs +300
-
New bet
22-1 AL MVP - Judge
Not Kwan? If he keeps up half his current pace, he's got it running away.
-
Yeah should have bet more
-
