Kudos to Trader Joe’s.
Cancel Culture laughable madness stared down!

It seems doubtful they’ll even hold out as long as the Washington Football Team.

Trader Redskin Potatoes.

Trader Joe's seems confused:

Excerpts from July 17th Statement:

“While this approach to product naming may have been rooted in a lighthearted attempt at inclusiveness, we recognize that it may now have the opposite effect— one that is contrary to the welcoming, rewarding customer experience we strive to create every day.”

“…we made the decision several years ago to use only the Trader Joe's name on our products moving forward. Since then, we have been in the process of updating older labels and replacing any variations with the name Trader Joe's, and we will continue do so until we complete this important work.”

Excerpts from July 24th Statement:

“We want to be clear: we disagree that any of these labels are racist. We do not make decisions based on petitions.”

“We make decisions based on what customers purchase, as well as the feedback we receive from our customers and Crew Members. If we feel there is need for change, we do not hesitate to take action.”

“…those products that resonate with our customers and sell well will remain on our shelves.”

Theit most recent statement carefully rides the fence.  ie.  These product labels aren't racist until our customers stop purchasing these products

This isn't resisting cancel culture.  This is just willingness to yield to it for the sake of making money.  It's the same thing.   They're waiting for the consumer to make it incumbent upon them to do so for the sake of their bottom line.
Fancy that. Listening to the customer.
So if the petition drive results in them ditching Trader Jose, they have listened to the customers and you won't write it down to cancel culture? Just like if a majority of the population in a city want to get rid of Confederate statues you are ok with it? Or if the Army considers the perception of potential recruits and renames Fort Bragg to Fort George Thomas? Listen to your constituency? Right?
You may want to get your apples and oranges better organized.

Seeing as how quotas in the workforce are now the 'thing'...they should be worked out on percentages...that is only fair.
Everyone equal.
Equality.
eg:
If you're 14% of the population, then you get an allocation of 14% of the jobs...1 in 7...as an initial guide.
This further refined to how many of the 14% make up the actual percentage of the 14% are looking for work.

Everyone getting an equal slice of the pie based on race and gender.
In America, women make up 50.8% of the population.
So initially they would be allocated 50% of the jobs.
This would be further refined by what percentage of the 50% are actually looking for work.

No comments about the suggestion of delaying the election.

No comments on 150,000 dead and 10s of thousands more to come.

No comments on Trump's ongoing support for the doctor of Demon Seed and Alien DNA.

No comments on the removal of troops from Germany.

No comments on $$ in the stimulus package that won't get paid out within a year, for the FBI building near Trump's hotel or for the F-35.

No comments on the lack of sufficient tests.

No comments on Trump's choice to not raise the Russian payments to the Taliban to kill Americans in Afghanistan.

So many things to avoid responding to, Ward. Aren't you glad you found a good dodge?!

Well, a dodge, anyway.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Despite all that banging on the table above you since, you haven’t offered us one good reason you should be let back up into a chair.

Perhaps you should say less, try harder, and think more.

And give away your radio to someone who can pick better programs.

one problem with your idea, I refused to sit under the table.

Cancel culture is what is...people having their lives and jobs ruined....

The cancel culture lot want to cancel everything THEY don't like, and replace it with everything THEY do like.

Like neighborhoods getting rid of black people they don't like,  and replacing those tenants with white people they do like?

It not been a problem since your radio host convinced you the thing you keep wacking your head on when you try to move about is the sky.

Quote
Fauci said the U.S. outbreak of COVID-19 was, in part, so severe because states did not shut down thoroughly enough and lockdown measures were rolled back too quickly.

He also suggested the response was too splintered across several state and local plans rather than a unified federal plan. "I think there was such a diversity of response in this country from different states, that we really did not have a unified bringing everything down," he said.

All of which was obvious in real time.
The other problem was the initial response wasn't just too little but too late.
Once the Italian outbreak hit circa Feb 21, the US should have been going into action.  It was nearly a month later, March 15 until the US started doing anything.

A strong nationwide 2 month lockdown beginning March 1, with borders mostly sealed, and the US would have been able to start gradual reopening around May 1.
Could have kept cases and deaths to a fraction of what has occurred.  And things would be largely back to normal by now with the economy functioning pretty well since June/July.

Of course, we'd have to have testing worked out and contact tracers in place and ready to lockdown localities if mini-outbreaks occurred.
