Still Worried?

If we make it to the ECF, 2023-24 is all gravy.

I am worried. Lighting in a bottle is hard to catch twice. That said, viva La lollipop league.

Did Leon have a better chess move signing Donte or extending Deuce?

OG needs a wine bath and a hyperbaric chamber STAT!

Defense was fucking exquisite last night.

So much pleasure in this brand of basketball. So many stories.

And who would've thought Burks found his 2021-22 mojo.

Note that the league, in their infinite wisdom, has once again given a short turnaround for the series. Sunday's game is a matinee.

Gotta wrap it up Friday.

I am worried that desperation and a home crowd will bring the Pacers to the top of their game.

Well it looks like for a minute I can stop being worried about the Knicks. It looks like we can get to the conference semis wether I do or do not so the future of the bit is precarious as it relates to next season. Honestly it had its ups and downs.

Not bad for a season that I thought looked like it was headed for 35 wins. There is a lot to build on with this group.

I hope we keep or increase our value in this draft. Young bangers at the big and wing is what we need.

Looking at availability, the Pacers are going to give the Celtics a much better series than we would be able to. I will be rooting for the pacers and for further breakouts from Obi.

We did our bit and I am proud of our boys.

Yeah, the year gave a lot more pleasure than pain.

When you think about that last game, we simply didn't have the strongest team. Aside from the injuries that kept so many guys from playing, both Hart and Hartenstein were obviously laboring from significant injuries, and could give only a fraction of their normal impact. I think it's fair to add Jalen to that list, even before the hand fracture.

But they fucking kept striving.

Already there's been an onslaught of trade ideas to get the Knicks that missing superstar, that missing piece.

I have no idea what folks are thinking. I think it's pretty clear we have the talent right now. And the chemistry. And the mindset.

Right now.

Just gotta keep healthy...and keep developing a young player or two.

We have Brunson, Randle, Robinson, Hart, Donte and Deuce locked up for next season. As priority to retain we have OG and Hartenstein. Clearing Bogey makes that fiscally doable. I would also like to retain Precious and Burks if those guys will take reasonable offers. This would bring us near the tax line and have us fill out the roster with near minimum and minimum deals along with rookie contracts.

We know we have a good mix with enough firepower to win our way into the playoffs. The goal will be to pair back minutes and dole out rest so we can get more of our core into the playoffs healthy and ready to play.

Hartenstein Robinson
Randle Achuiwa
Anonoby Hart
DiVincenzo Burks
Brunson McBride

Add two rookies and two ring chasers, preferably one a stretch five, and we can give the East a run for its money if not the league. I will be happy if we go that route and do not needlessly over complicate things with our roster construction.

No way I can root for Indiana. No fucking way.

They got thru the Bucks without Giannis....and with Middleton and Lillard dealing with injuries. They got through us with....well, you know that story well enough.

And I expect they'll keep winning if, say, Tatum and Brown get hit by a bus.

Halliburton's final gesture, wearing a Reggie choke hoodie in the postgame interview, was beyond weak.

Fuck him. Fuck the Pacers. Next year can't come soon enough.

(Though the Dallas-Minnesota series, that should be some good shit!)
