Press ganging folks into agricultural labor is a bold if legally and ethically questionable strategy to address homelessness, Tony. Certain parts of the country were trying this well into the 1800s but have all since scaled back their efforts. I do not think I support a revival of that approach at this time.

I picture more along the lines of the Garden of Eden, and hippies working in the garden while listening to Iron Butterfly, etc, and Carlos Santana. I picture giant gardens with people supplying food to our ghettos, and supplying food to places where food is needed, and also as supply is increased then the prices come down. And like Woody Guthrie, this land is your land, this land is my land. I picture formerly homeless people finding a Christian family working on a farm in Bakersfield, etc, and finding purpose and a second chance.

Dave Mustaine has his whole family out working in the Vineyards in Italy for his winery, and that is how it can be, people working with their families in the vineyards.

And everyone getting back to the garden, a garden is therapeutic.

It is all about attitude, and circumstances, etc. And they can have more Co Ops like Sunkist, etc.

It is better to have a home and to work in a garden than it is to be homeless on the sidewalk, and there can be community programs for the workers and for their families, including swimming pools, golf, tennis courts, bowling alleys, etc, libraries, etc.

And there is the United Farm Workers to protect the workers, and to help people to connect with jobs, etc.

And the Blacks need to learn how to hire Mexican farm workers, etc. There are new Black owned wineries now in Napa, etc, and they need to learn how to hire workers through the United Farm Workers, etc.

The farms can be places of love and community, it is all about creating a positive environment.

Tony V.

We need to help the 125,000 homeless people in California to become peaceful farmers, we have had lots of rain and people can use the water to grow food.

Of note too, is people having tennis clubs, and golf clubs, and swimming clubs, etc, then people need to have bungalows at the clubs, like at the Beverly Hills Hotel where they have bungalows by the swimming pool.

And we need coffee shops everywhere, and book stores, etc.

We need for the children to obey the 10 Commandments, and the Golden Rule, and then LOVE is what life is all about.

And Biden wants to educate our people, I support that, let us PLEASE educate the people of America, it would be the great gift that we could give to America, and the Coal Miner's Daughter can be a Doctor. We need doctors, and psychiatrists, and scientists, and teachers, etc.

Battle Mountain has a Golf Course, but they still need a lot of stuff, there are many opportunities to open businesses in Battle Mountain, and they will always have people because the area has a LOT of Gold, and Gold prices are high right now. I was a cook at the Colt and we served mostly Gold Miners and Truck Drivers and the Colt ran 24 hours per day, I worked the night shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, and I lived in a really cool old travel trailer with beautiful wood paneling inside which I owned and I just parked it on my Grandparent's property. One of my waitresses was the Daughter of the Vice President of the Bank of New York. We had a lot of beautiful waitresses at the Colt.

Oregon farmers have cut back on production, and now many areas in Oregon are forced to buy expensive groceries imported from Canada. Oregon needs to expand domestic production of food, while at the same time California can send food to Oregon, including Bakersfield, Bakersfield grows a lot of food that can be shipped to Oregon.

And markets such as Northgate, Von's, Stater Brothers, Ralph's, Albertson's, Trader Joe's, and others, can expand to sell products in Oregon, as well as in Kentucky, and Arkansas, and Tennessee, etc. And they can also expand into Australia, etc.

( Of Note, they need to open a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida right in the middle of Tokyo, Japan, with the best food, and the best American Rock and Roll entertainers, etc. And they can open Vegas casinos all over Japan, and McDonald's, etc. And we can flood them with the American ideals of a 40 hour work week, and Saturdays and Sundays OFF from work, and paid vacations, etc, and the companies need to learn to be altruistic, etc. )

We can also export food from California to China, including sending Sunkist products and Andre Cold Duck, and wine, etc, and cheese, etc. Mexico can also send food to China, etc.

We need for Future Farmers of America to teach our young farmers, and we need for community colleges in rural areas to teach farming, etc, and we can increase production for the people of Oregon, etc, and for all of us, we can all benefit as the farmers produce more food. And the Teamsters can deliver food all over the nation, along with the railroads, etc.

A European Royal went missing in Malibu...

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-05-19/detectives-asking-for-publics-help-finding-new-york-man-missing-in-malibu

The world is NOT a safe place, the stars all have body guards, Empire West has 24 hour security and door men, and Malibu has security at all of the best spots, the Paradise Cove Restaurant where James Garner and Michael Landon used to hang out has 24 hour security, and Latigo Beach has 24 hour security, etc.

The stars all have body guards, Spielberg has body guards in Santa Monica at his home, everyone needs to be mindful of security.

In Malibu I had roommate who was the daughter of a Chinese General, and we had 2 security gates, and cameras, and motion detectors with spot lights, and we had 2 big dogs, and I had a gun, etc, one has to be mindful of security. Even in Malibu, and Topanga, etc, one has to be mindful of security.

Bambu, watch the movie "American Graffiti" by George Lucas, it is about his youth in Modesto cruising, Lucas is great, and cruising has been brought back, on Lancaster Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Anaheim Blvd, Van Nuys Blvd, etc.

Francis Ford Coppola just made a new movie, I want to see it, and I hope George Lucas can make some more movies here now that taxes have been lowered for producers, Lucas can work with the film students after they graduate, and the acting students from the AADA, etc.

And here in California guys like George Lucas dug the wells from which we drink, and Walt Disney, and Carl Laemmle, and Steven Spielberg, and Ron Howard, etc, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and Gene Autry, and Roy Rogers. And of course out in the desert we had the famous test pilots, Pete Knight who was friends with my Grandmother, and there was Chuck Yeager and those guys.

Disneyland is investing $2 Billion into the city of Anaheim right now, all thanks to the well dug by Walt Disney, and many new jobs are being created.

Some Council Members here in Anaheim have been trying to start a "Little Arabia" here on Brookhurst, but what they do not understand is that the average home in Anaheim costs $1 million. Anaheim is not a good place for poor refugees, as the homes are expensive. The Arabs would be better off in Victoria, British Columbia, where it is cheap, and where they can do forestry work to survive. California is very expensive. My family started in New York 200 years ago, we did not just start out in California, California is for the rich people, like New York and Florida. For the poor people then there is Minnesota, and Iowa, and Nebraska, where it does not cost $1 million for the average home like here in Anaheim. You get rich, then you come to California, they need to start out some place cheaper like Mississippi, or someplace. The Arabs cannot just start at the top, they need to start at the bottom and then work their way up to the top, and then they will appreciate their hard earned success and they will understand the beauty of America.

And how did we end up with 1 million Persians in Los Angeles, and in Beverly Hills? Beverly Hills is the best spot in the USA to live, along with Malibu, how did they start at the top instead of starting at the bottom in Michigan or someplace? You cannot start at the top, and especially if they want aid and welfare, you cannot come to America and live in luxury on welfare in our best locations, they need to go someplace cheaper like Mississippi. Or they can go to Victoria, British Columbia.

The refugees need to start at the bottom, someplace cheap, and then they can work hard and rise and then they can move to a nicer place when they earn it. They must not be able to come from Iran and go straight to Beverly Hills, that is bullshit, my family has been in the USA for hundreds of years and I do not get to live in Beverly Hills, I cannot afford to live in Beverly Hills, how the hell can 1 million Persians be able to afford to live in Beverly Hills?

And now they want to have a "Little Arabia" here in Anaheim, where the average house costs $1 million, fuck that, they can go have their "Little Arabia" in Mississippi, or in Canada or someplace. You cannot come here and start at the very top in luxury, you need to pay your dues at the bottom when you come here.

If I have to start at the bottom, then so can everyone else. It is only fair. They can start at the bottom and work hard to rise to the top. And then they will appreciate what they worked hard to achieve.

Tony V.

I lived in a Winnebago motor home for 1 year in the Desert of Lancaster, California, I owned my motor home, and I lived in an RV park for $300 per month, next to a 7-Eleven 24 hour convenience store, with 3 barbecue grills and out-door furniture. We lived like we were on vacation at the Leo Carrillo Campground in Malibu. But, some of the people were dangerous. I tried to make friends with the community, and I cooked for everyone and fed everyone and made margaritas for everyone and bought beer, etc. I could not be friends with the neighbors because some of them were bad people, so I spent time on the world wide web on my computer.

It is better to live in a nice house in Anaheim with roommates instead of a motor home in the desert. But, one can survive in a motor home in the desert.

Battle Mountain, Nevada, also has an RV park where people can park their motor homes, and they can get a job at the Colt casino.

The secret to being happy is attitude, and that goes with no matter where you live. And when I was a cook at the Colt in Battle Mountain then we had a head chef who was a retired chef from Beverly Hills, so we had Beverly Hills quality dining in Battle Mountain Nevada at the Colt. We brought the atmosphere of fine dining from Beverly Hills to a casino in Battle Mountain. We still had cheap pancakes and stuff, but we also had prime rib, and buffalo steaks, and scallops, and he used to make expensive stuffed chicken breasts, etc, we had great food.

Of note, get a spot at an RV park that has security guards. You want 24 hour security at an RV park, and even the campground at Leo Carrillo in Malibu has 24 hour security.

I am grateful for a nice apartment in Anaheim with a swimming pool, and we have tennis courts down the street at Pearson Park, and we have good markets, and nice restaurants, I just need a good wife, and I need to get my movie made that I wrote and I need to get my poetry book published, etc.

Anyhow, Bambu, I have lived in a motor home in the desert, and it is all about attitude, one can still be festive. And I rode the train to Hollywood to go to show business parties, etc.

And remember, people are more important than money, money is just a tool to help us to live better. And if you are ever desperate, then please go to a Catholic Church and ask the Priest for help. If you were here in Anaheim then people would help you, there are lots of good people here.

Tony V.

Bambu, people are more important than money, you are more important than money. Money is just a tool to help you to enjoy life more and to help people. You need friends, and rich neighbors who will loan you money. My best friend Tom used to run out of money every month, and I used to loan him money for the essentials like food and toilet paper to get him through the month. Then later he found a check cashing place, you give them a post-dated check and they hold the check until the first of the next month and then they cash it, so you can get the money now and they cash your check on the 1st, Vince Faragamo from the Rams football team was a part owner of the check-cashing business. And my friend Lisa was wealthy from Bananas in the Philippines. Lisa would loan me money anytime. You need to have friends. If you were my neighbor I would loan you money to get through the month. If you become desperate then please go to a Catholic Church and ask the Priest for help. You are far more valuable than money.

It is important for the good people to be at the top.

And it is good that Pope Francis has joined the G-7.

Also, Education is important, and we need to educate our people, including building more colleges in Kentucky, etc, and in Arkansas, etc.

Bambu, you are safe, follow NASA on Facebook, and Edwards Air Force Base, and follow Lockheed, etc. And be sure to get the equipment to jam and crash enemy drones.

Also, if you travel, do not fly on a Boeing plane, fly on the French planes, and wait for Lockheed to build the new planes of the future. And go to safe places like Italy, and France, and Greece. I have been to Cannes, France, and to Rome, Italy, and both countries are beautiful and safe.

I have been to Mexico, with Youth For Christ as a teen, and it was safe because I was with a whole bus full of Christians. Also, Christina Aquilera performed a concert in Mexico just last night, and Dave Mustaine and Megadeth played in El Salvador, and Shakira is from Colombia, the world is becoming safer.

In Rome I recommend the Hotel Ivanhoe on Via Urbana right by the Roman Forum, and Via Urbana is in the novel "The Count of Monte Cristo" and it is an awesome area, I lived in that neighborhood for 6 weeks, my roommates were Italian soldiers from Sicily, it was great. People were all buying beers for the American, I rarely had to buy my own beer as people kept buying me beers. And they have Cinecitta in Rome, and the Vatican, Rome is great. Rome is nice and safe.

And Cannes is nice like Marina Del Rey in California. Cannes is very safe. I attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2000, and it was great, a film named "Dancer in the Dark" won the top award. I ate chicken and drank Corona beers while sitting on a famous beach in Cannes, where the women could go topless, there are famous photos of stars topless in Cannes. I love France, and I love the French people, it was like everyone in France went to Charm School, they were so nice and polite in France.

We need to educate our people, and we need to send our youth to Charm School, etc. I have a friend who lived in New York and she went to Charm School as a teen, so that is good, we need for Kentucky to send the youth to Charm School too, and Arkansas, etc.

And no one likes the image of ignorant red necks on meth with bad teeth, we need to be educated instead and we need to send our youth to charm school, etc.

We need for the kind and loving people to be at the top, and we need to have education and charm school for our people.

Salute,

Tony V.

Bambu, you seem healthy, and you do not smoke, and you are not a heavy drinker, if you eat healthy then you can live a good long life. In Italy the average life expectancy is 83, and Sophia Loren is 89. The Mediterranean Diet is the best according to my doctor, which for me includes pizza, and chicken, and pasta, etc, and red wine, etc. And I am sure that Australia has world class health care.

And we need for cool new people to rise up and take over Iran, peaceful loving people need to take over Iran and then they can have the Persian Oil money. And Mahlagha Jaberi can do an interview and pictorial with Playboy, etc. And Muzi can do an interview with Playboy too.

Disney is investing $2 Billion here in Anaheim, blessings are on the way, things will get better in California.

Right now the unemployment rate in California is twice that of the rest of the nation, with 125,000 homeless people, and high housing costs and high food costs, etc.

I see lots of bright spots, with Disneyland and Hollywood doing better, and with lots of new opportunities for film and television jobs, and improvements for tourism, etc, but we need to advance to get these homeless people into housing and to have an economy where people can comfortably afford food and shelter. And we have a new high speed train that is being built between Las Vegas and Southern California, etc, and Vegas is doing fantastic right now, it is easy to get a job in Vegas.

I think one big thing in California is that we need for our companies to be locally owned and operated, and we need for the companies to care about the people here and to be altruistic here.

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood is closing, and the students will have to train at their New York City location now. It is sad, and I do not understand it, the movie and television studios should love to have schools which are training people here to work in the Entertainment Industry, and instead the schools go unsupported and close. Jessica Chastain attended the AADA about the same time that I did, and she was very successful with "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" which she produced herself with her own production company. The AADA is a great school, and the studios should have supported the AADA here instead of letting it close. Now the actors have to go to New York to train. And what about USC film school, and Chapman film school? They need actors for their student films, etc. The studios should love to have the schools here training people to work at the studios. But the fucking problem is we have studios owned by Japanese corporations that are sending the money home to Japan and they do not give a fuck about California, and to top it off they are still pissed off about the nukes.

In Anaheim Disney is American Owned, and Disney came to our City Council and asked how can we help Anaheim? Disney is being altruistic and will help the homeless here, and will build new parks, etc, along with creating jobs, etc. And Fullerton Community College is training people for jobs at Disneyland, etc. We need for other companies all over California to be altruistic like Disney. Instead of just being greedy while the streets are full of homeless people and while the cities become ghettos, then we need for the companies to care, like Disney, and to come to our cities to ask, How can we help the city?

And the whole Japanese Business Model is BULLSHIT, they work themselves to death for heartless corporations and then when they are old and worthless they commit suicide. The Japanese love suicide. I do not want to work for the Japanese, and I do not want to rent from the Japanese, and I do not want to get on that treadmill, and it is bad for Art. I love the French Business Model much more, especially for Artists, and the Italian Business Model. The whole purpose of working is to have a good life and family, not just be a slave to a corporation and then kill yourself when you are old and worthless.

Say what you want about Henry Ford, but he gave the workers Saturday and Sunday off, and he was the first to do a 40 hour work week, and he paid better than everyone else, Henry Ford was very altruistic, and guys like him built America. And Henry Ford invested in Michigan, instead of sending the money to Japan.

We need to care about the 125,000 homeless people on the streets of California, and we need to be concerned that our unemployment rate is twice as high as the rest of the nation.

We have lots of water thanks to all of the rain, and we can grow food in California, and we can make wine, and we can employ the refugees in the United Farm Workers, etc, and we can export food to China, etc.

And Mayor Bass is doing a good job, and we have the Olympics coming up in 4 years, it can get better. People just need to care. And we need cheap hostels like in Rome where people can get a cheap bed and shower for $15 per night, and we need cheap sober living homes where people can rent a cheap bed for $450 per month, etc.

I would love to rise to the top and buy Universal Studios, and be altruistic, and make great films, television shows, and music, etc, both here in Hollywood, and at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. And instead of sending the money to Japan, I would spend money right here in the USA. Good people like me need to rise to the top here in Hollywood. We need people at the top who care about the homeless people on the street around the studio. And we need to support the AADA, and USC film school, and Chapman film school, etc, and we need to hire the graduates, and we can hire the writers from National Lampoon at Harvard, etc.

And as far as the fucking Japanese go, we need to send them a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and we can send them Vegas casinos, and we can build more McDonald's in Japan, etc. And we need to teach the Japanese how to enjoy life more, and how to care about people more than money. The people are more important than money, and money is just a tool to be used to make life better. Working yourself to death for some fucked up heartless corporation is a horrible life, the Japanese Business Model sucks. We need to teach the Japanese to be more like the French and Italians. It is BULLSHIT to work 100 hours per week just to die when you get old.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis has joined the G-7, so that will help the world to become a more compassionate and caring place.

Life is not about being punished for being born, and life does not have to be hard, it is hard enough that we have to grow old and die and watch everyone we love die, we should not make life worse by becoming a slave to some heartless corporation while our cities become ghettos full of homeless people, the Japanese Business Model sucks. I would rather work for the French, or the Italians. And workers need to be able to survive while working 40 hours a week, with Saturdays and Sundays off.

Salute,

Tony V.

Bill Maher recognizes the Emperors clothing

T o me it says Biden knows he is losing because otherwise he would not have agreed to a debate. Only the loser wants to debate.

Nothing braver than a guy hijacking an airplane and flying it into a building Bill Maher is back to being your thought leader. Good to know and probably good for you self image that you do not understand what this says about you.

When they removed Gaddafi in Libya they strapped propane tanks to a car and crashed the car into a gate to blow up the gate so they could get in to get Ghadaffi, they committed suicide to remove him from power in Libya.

They were having a great enlightenment in the Middle East for a moment.

We need to send in the Peace Corps during times of peace, and teachers, and preachers, and Catholic Churches, and Kiwanis International and the Key Club and Circle K, etc. And we can control their movies, and television, and radios, and music, and newspapers, etc. And money has power during times of peace. And if they want Capitalism and Democracy then MONEY has power.

And they can send the refugees from the Middle East to the forest of Canada, get the children away from the wars and send them to live in the forest of Canada. Victoria, British Columbia, has a Kiwanis Village and is the perfect spot for the refugee children.

The children can live in the forest of Canada and they can watch Disney cartoons and they can eat Kellogg's Pop Tarts, etc.

Bambu, right now during peace is the best time to send the Peace Corps into Afghanistan, and Iraq, etc, and they need to send in the teachers, and the preachers, and the Catholic Churches, etc, and Kiwanis, etc, and they can have the Key Club for the high school kids, and Circle K for the college age youth, etc. Now is the time to win the hearts, and minds, of the people of Afghanistan and Iraq, etc, now during peacetime. Sounds great, Tony.

I on the other hand am cruising the kitchen looking for something to eat, but the cupboards are almost bare...10 days to go until next payment [the dog has plenty of food]. :-)    ...had to get the car fixed this pension fn.
Luckily there's a new jar of Vegemite in the pantry.  :)
Can't go to the food bank..."what is this amount here debited to your bank account reading "Foxtel"?  "You shouldn't be having all that internet, movies, sport in HD etc instead of buying food"!  They would have a good point.
No worries, I'll just skip a bill payment of some sort...team bambu will survive. YouTube videos have taught me how to live on less.

Bringing two cars into the retirement village would've been ideal, ...one needs fixing, you drive the other one.
but, nowhere to park it but on the driveway...with the other one in the garage.
Defeats the purpose of drive up, depress the remote, garage door opens, drive car in and close door...don't get wet when it rains and don't ever have to get out of car to open garage door.

Wise us made sure there was a "govt transportation bus stop at gate "...good service, 'old people' can travel on the bus cheaply.

I will pray for you Bambu, I will pray for God to bless you. And I had the same thing happen, I had an unplanned emergency take my savings away, I had to pay $110 for a ride home from a Colonoscopy, they found and removed 10 pre-cancerous polyps, they saved my life, I need to go back next year and get another colonoscopy as it was so bad, but they saved my life. Anyhow, the ride home took all of my money, and so I lived on oranges, and pasta. I can get oranges for 4 for $1, and the pasta is $1.50, so we have cheap food at the store.

And I ride the bus, I gave up my car, I cannot afford a car anymore with the cost of the car, plus gasoline, and insurance, etc, I sold my car and I ride the bus. If I was rich, I would buy the electric Volkswagen Bus, if my movie and my poetry book are successful then I will buy a VW Bus. ( I also gave up smoking cigarettes, they are $10 per pack now, plus they are very unhealthy. I would rather spend the money on food and clothes, etc. ) I also like to walk, like they do in Europe, I walk to the store to buy dinner, etc, I walk through the park to the Mexican Market, it is such a beautiful walk through the park, and our city motto is City of Kindness, and everyone is kind. And I am healthy from walking everyday and from carrying my groceries, etc.

I have lots to be grateful for, sitting here in a beautiful apartment with a nice cup of coffee, with perfect weather outside, and I am optimistic about the future. I want a wife and a family, and I want to produce movies and television shows and I want to publish my poetry book, etc. But, meanwhile, I have a nice apartment and food to eat, so I am grateful. I have an attitude of gratitude.

If you live on rice, then you need beans to make up the other half of the needed nutrients, people who live on rice need to eat beans to go with the rice. The Mexicans always have beans with their rice. And they eat the prickly pear cactus with scrambled eggs, with salsa, and tortillas. The Mexicans can feed a whole house full of people on a minimum wage job.

I have not tried Vegemite yet, but I have lived on Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. I hope God blesses you with food. And that is good that the dog is well taken care of.

It will get better here when they start filming more movies and television shows here, now that Newsom has lowered taxes for producers.

Salute,

Tony V.

Van Nuys used to make cars and trucks for General Motors, they built Camaros, and Impalas, etc, and they cruised the cars on Van Nuys Blvd and people partied at Balboa Park there in Van Nuys, it was cool, they had pride because the cars were made right there in Van Nuys. But now the GM factory moved to Canada, and those jobs are gone.

( People are cruising again in California, thanks to changes in the laws, and they are cruising Anaheim Blvd and they are partying at Pearson Park, etc. And they are cruising Lancaster Blvd, and Sunset Blvd, etc, along with Van Nuys Blvd, etc. )

The weather is perfect, and I am eating a wonderful pasta dinner with some nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Modesto, California. I am very grateful. I just need a beautiful woman, like the Van Halen song says. I like the Italian women, but the French women are beautiful too, and the Greeks, and the Spanish women and Latin Women, and really the world has beautiful women from all over, China, the Philippines, Australia, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, the world is blessed to have many beautiful women, and they all come here to California, they are all coming to Hollywood and to Anaheim.

Bambu, be sure to get the equipment to stop the enemy drones, we have equipment to jam and crash the enemy drones, just ask NASA at Edwards Air Force Base for help and they will help you.

And the Persians are all coming here, the women from Iran are all coming to California.

We need to make Beach Blanket Bingo movies, and Fun in Acapulco movies, and adult Love Boat, and adult Fantasy Island, etc, there are many ideas for new movies to make, and for new television shows. And there are over 400 Slocum Western Novels to make as movies, etc.

And I really am looking forward to seeing the new Francis Ford Coppola movie.

And it will be great as the new tax breaks help to restart the entertainment industry here in Hollywood.

Tony V.
