I wonder if there has ever been a year in which more leads of 5 or more runs have been overcome.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

"He woulda been out of the inning" is not a good excuse for a slider over the heart of the plate.

Unearned runs are still runs.

A solid start, overall, by Erod - 3 unearned runs against Braisier, but he did pitch a meatball for that homer.

And just enough firepower to lose.

Insane year; Giants out of nowhere, win-loss streaks all over the place.

Quiz for today.....

Top 20 all time Dodgers in franchise history - ranked by WAR (wins above replacement player)

17 are from 1950 on - dont expect you to get the other 3.  Order not important, though the guy on top is a bit of a surprise

Naming 20 Dodgers over history is tough enough! 20 Yankees or Orioles would be much easier. Could probably do 20 Pirates more easily, Cards, too.

Snider
Wills
Koufax
Garvey
Cey
Drysdale
Campanella
Piazza
Hodges
Reese
Smith (Reggie)
Davis (T)
Davis (W)
Bellinger
Mota (No, I do not expect him to be on the list, but he is somebody I remember, if more for pinch hitting than anything else.)

Nice game by the Red Sox in Seattle this afternoon!

Winning a series there for the first time in eons!

Yankees had a nice last minute come from behind win.

Dodgers strengths have historically been pitching pitching pitching
I'd bet Sutton (arguably the greatest accumulator ever), Hershiser,  Valenzuela are in the LAD's top 20

Kershaw too

Nobody liked my last trivia question.

Try this one:

When did MLB last have four teams that lost 100 games in a season?!
