Nancy Pelosi  says no impeachment prior to Mueller Report?

Or likely after it, as I understood her.
Then why not wait for the Report?

Instead of what?
Or waiting for Godot, I guess.

Always meant to see that play.

I think I'll add it to my Beckett list.

I hope Christina Wilkie gets trumps unsecured private number and calls him twice a day every day. She has a magical effect on people in his orbit.

Those Democrats and their identity politics:

And like everything else said and promoted by our "President" its a lie.  Democrats share of the Jewish vote was +8 more in 2016 than 2012.  + 19 (79%) in 2018.

Quote
Even if you’re an avid follower of the news, it’s hard to keep track of Donald Trump’s scandals. The president’s singular governing innovation has been to engage in grift so baroque, so galactically expansive, that trying to comprehend it all at once tests the limit of the human mind. Revelations that would have been shocking in the world we all lived in a few years ago — for example, news that the president overruled his staff to insist on security clearances for his fashion designer daughter and her husband — now take up half a news cycle, at most.

Still, it’s worth trying to summon whatever is left of our pre-Trump sensibilities and pause to consider the epic sleaze of the unfolding story of Li Yang, also known as Cindy Yang.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/11/opinion/cindy-yang-trump-corruption.html

I confess to a certain sleaze fatigue meself.  A goodly part of my desire to see 45 led off in chrome bracelets is simply to restore, as she puts it, my "pre-Trump sensibilities."

It would be funny to think of our "President" as just a curmudgeony old man when he tweets that Airplanes these days just have too much dangfangled technology to be safe, and we should go back to the good old days when airplanes were just machine and pilots were men and not nerds...

Except that last year Trump tried to take credit for the decades long trend in improvements to passenger airplane safety records that has been brought on in no small part by that technology.  So then this becomes just another area where Trump says whatever thing serves him at the time, regardless of facts.

When thinking about how the access that the wealthy have to paths to cheating their kids into elite colleges can only add to the lack of upward mobility of the middle-class and poor and the dissolution of our meritocracy remember that there are perfectly legal ways of doing this very same thing.

Jared Kushner's dad got his son, who was a mediocre student, into Harvard with a $2.5 million donation to the school in 1998.

bambu was a mediocre student...he didn't go to Harvard, or anything like its equivalent.

Always thought he might like to have done...gone to university.
Until, one day about 10 years ago he couldn't find his drivers licence and had to go into the big city to apply for a new one.
Had to wait a couple of hours.

While walking around the fringe of the city, he came across Notre Dame University …

https://www.notredame.edu.au/about/campuses/sydney-campus

The Broadway site of The University of Notre Dame Australia is situated in the colourful inner-city suburb of Chippendale. Nestled among Sydney’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, our campus proudly encompasses heritage buildings, leafy courtyards and is home to the Schools and Departments of Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Law, Philosophy & Theology, Study Support and Pathways.

#####

He walked into the grounds, soaking up the learned atmosphere.
He ventured close to the buildings, and looked in.
Then an alarm went off in his head!
"SCHOOL, SCHOOL" the alarm bells rang out.
His mind thought to itself..."I hated school with a passion", "attending university for me would've been absolutely horrible".
He hurriedly left the grounds, couldn't get out of there fast enough. Nothing had changed in 55 years.

Luckily, he lived in Australia and not America...where a college/university degree was/is basically mandatory for a happy and successful life.
