Real nice emergency relief work by Valdez to hold the line, and Devers with a pair of bombs.

that was a good win

Sure was!

The homer off Cole was particularly satisfying.

Hope ERod's okay!

Evo was in total command and it seemed all but over. Strange game. May get stranger.

Not nearly strange enough.

Close to strange enough.

Seemed like that was a W all day.

bad loss

Evo deserved better.

I'm 50/50 on whether pulling him for Otto to face Stanton was the right move.

I'm not sure anyone but Mookie could have caught those cheap ass bloops.

Wow

today was like a mirror image of yesterday.

Gerrman was brilliant and deserved better.

But that 8th inning comeback was awesome

no-no gone

shutout gone

lead gone

lead taken

game over

3 out of 4 is right.

"Turnabout is fair play" is what I said during the 8th.

It makes quite a pair of games! Toronto and TB also lost today, putting everything back to where it was on Thursday...

Except Baltimore has now crept back to within 26 games...

BOSTON -- Domingo German was simply dominating the Boston Red Sox. Never more so than in the seventh inning, when the Yankees right-hander struck out stars J.D. Martinez, Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts and rookie Jarren Duran.

Always an odd phrase, that.

Sounds like a tangled web for lawyers to get unstuck.

Seems someone in the sport biz is already using Guardians in Cleveland.

Women's Roller Ball.

Somewhere on a banked track Joan Weston is laughing and elbowing someone in the mouth..

Oops...

If I were the Roller Derby club, I would work out a deal similar to what happened when Ted Turner wanted WTBS and a small college radio station already owned it.

The radio station got a complete upgrade to modernized equipment, a bunch of money, and a new set of call letters. Ted got WTBS.

I would bet that the Cleveland Guardians can do at least as well, given how much money the Indians have already sunk into this change.

So you leave a guy in at 90 pitches with a no hitter, but remove him at 93 with a 1-hitter and a 4 run lead

Okey doke.

So, he struck out 4 batters in one inning? I guess those extra outs really help out the Sox. over the course of a game.

Cleveland Guardians....

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Sure - instead of throwing his 91st through 93rd pitches to Verdugo, he'd have been at least three pitches fresher - might have gotten Verdugo out.

Probably not, but who knows?
