Wow - looked like strike three on the breaking pitch, Eovaldi to Castro.  Rough.

Yes, but it doesn't matter now.

Better replace the champagne with at least a Prosecco or perhaps a Frizzante, Bosox fans.

Diaz was bad for both sides, and Sox missed several opportunities in that game to score more runs.

But don't worry, RSN, Chris Sale rides to the rescue!!

0-83

That was Dodgers record in playoff games when trailing by 3 or more entering eighth inning

Surprised they pitched to Betts.  Was Trea on deck - maybe that was it

How do you figure one website had Diaz missing 23 ball-strike calls and another said he missed 31.

Doesn't it stand to reason a third site might say he missed just 15?

Hate that fuckin box

"One batter too long" is a fine piece of hindsight, but given how the relievers have done I think it is just that.

Astros came up big so kudos. Sox bats turned to mush after Dusty pulled Grienke in G4. Another few batters facing him might have made a difference. Hopefully Evo can get them to a 67.

Gotta win on Friday or time to go home.

My sibling said, despairingly, "they really skunked us these last two games," as explanation for her lack of hope.

I pointed out that we had done the same to them the two before it and that momentum only lasts until the next game starts.

Atlanta seems to be doing a solid job tonight, so far.

Guess Laz Diaz is to blame for Sox blowing this series.

Braves are pitching well. Dave Roberts looking like Grady Little.

Just not even close to the same.

"Good" try for your regular attempt to make an anti-Boston post.

Had Snitker left Smyly in there longer, that might have been an apt comparison or at least closer - blowing the lead after being left in too long. But Urias didn't have the lead, let alone lose it nor was it particularly late in the game, either.

Was Urias left in too long? Sure. End of comparison.

If you say so, Ham. You're the self-proclaimed expert, after all.
