Your nurse needs to up the Thorazine in your vegemite. You are blowing a gasket, mate. You leak foolishness at an alarming rate.

Are you calling retired British army general Barrish foolish?
He might have a baby face, but there's nothing infantile is his words of warning.
If he thinks a Russian attack on Great Britain is a real world possibility, yeah, foolish. But he is probably just fear mongering to increase British defense spending. And you being so fearful you are willing to ignore the protection of your own health because of a perceived, essentially miniscule danger,.are the type of fearful little turd that it plays to. Seriously, I imagine you entering the real world from your bunker,.setting your face to the sun and running as fast as possible towards it to try to escape the vague black image chasing you.

Watching mrs bambu trying to drink the colonoscopy prep stuff, I decided that was nearly a fate worse than death.
I have no money to pay specialists, we had to basically beg mrs bambu's specialist to "bulk bill" (bill the govt 100%, he accepting less than he would if we had to pay his usual fee.)
Because she has diabetes he was able to operate on her "immediately" in a public hospital, and he accepted the govt Medicare rebate as full payment.
There is about a 12 month waiting list in public hospitals...and you usually can't have the doctor of your choice
We had to give up/stop paying private health insurance, too expensive, unaffordable.
We're not the only ones.
I just spent our last $10 at the supermarket.
No more credit available, no savings, well a total of about $2 of cents in several bank accounts. Credit cards debt. Got credit left at the vet for our lovely dog.
Life insurance policies payments keep increasing as you get closer to 85.
Die after 85 you get nothing.
Ideally I will die before 85 so mrs bambu can collect the insurance money and live happily and comfortably.

Moral of my story is to make sure you go into retirement with no debt and plenty of cash in the bank, and somewhere to live that you own. An apartment, or house/cabin/etc where you own the land.
Reportedly, investors are buying the land, or already own the land that some mobile homes, prefab homes are on and are increasing the rents, causing some owners of the homes financial stress.

One experienced van life older man has just bought some cheap land in *remote* America...but still within close proximity to a town.
I'd call the land 'desert'.
Somehere to park his van permanently, have a fixed/postal etc address.
He has built a largish carport type structure out ot timber and tarps.
Shelter from the sun and rain.
Fixed BBQ to use as a kitchen, sleeps in the van, uses solar panels for power.
The main thing is he owns it.

Yeah.

He is getting a solid check for a few minutes of speculation so he is not nearly as as big a fool as any member of the sky news audience.

Yes, Flavor Aid powder, leftover from Jonestown, seems more your libation.  (Flavor Aid was the cheap version of Koolaid, back in the day, and the Rev. Jones was always thrifty.  Some press outlets misreported it as Koolaid, and so the modern catchphrase has perpetuated the mistake)

Mr. Hoover was an engineer. He knew that water trickles down... But he didnt know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellows hands.

Antisemitism is out of control in Australia.
Someting serious should be done about stopping it.
*Nothing* is.
An elderly Jewish lady was shoved around...assaulted if you like...on her way to a "Antisemitism rally the other day.
Shoved around by you know who.
Jews in Australia should form the "AJDM"...Australian Jewish Defence Militia"...and start fighting back against you know who...legally of course.
Muscle, serious muscle security in special uniforms based throughout cities, read to arrive at a moments notice to protect their people.
Not enough muscle locally...import some.
Part of the fightback militia, a bank of lawyers.

Sky News Australia:

Sydney...

"Disturbing Hamas-themed kids' birthday".

Complete with photos shown on my tv screen.
Hamas cupcakes.
All with the Palestinian flag.

#####

Disturbing indeed
Don't expect anyone to do anything about it though.
You'd have to wonder where Child services are.
