Sky News Aust...best place to find the truth.

"China is practicing "seizing power" as it carries out drills near Taiwan."

#####

Won't be long now.
Wonder what the good guys will actually do when the invasion starts.
You will be holed up in your basement, curled up in a ball and shitting bricks like a wombat.

China has been doing this shit since Chaing Kai-shek scarpered off to the island 75 years ago. Calm down and go change your diaper.

Ask the Republicans who held up military support funding for months over bullshit. Nothing like fucking up deterence capability for no good reason.

Meanwhile,

Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles, Japanese Minister of Defense Kihara Minoru, and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III convened a Trilateral Defense Ministerial Meeting in Hawaii on May 2, 2024. This was the thirteenth meeting among the defense leaders of the three nations and highlighted the landmark achievements made in implementing activities and practical areas of cooperation set forth in the 2023 Joint Statement.

China is not gonna invade Taiwan

The only way to beat terrorists is with terror...it's all they understand.

To oppose terrorism with violence acknowledges the terrorist assumption that meaningful change is only possible through suffering and fear.

Biden to MoreHouse Graduates;
America Hates You!

He aint wrong
As I noted, the right has its panties in a bunch because Biden spoke of racism as an ongoing issue that still needs to be addressed.

The Biden/Morehouse/speech/criticism had nothing to do with Gaza.
Biden set out to shore up the black vote instead of giving an uplifting send off the graduates. They got played for saps and knew it.
Biden seems to think that black/white relationships are not getting better but things, without him, could be worse. ( an original  Obama tactic)

The problem for him is he has been the President of the Status Quo for three and a half years.
As I noted, the right has its panties in a bunch because Biden spoke of racism as an ongoing issue that still needs to be addressed.
So Biden is the( suggested)  problem?
If so how come  blacks are voting in record numbers and moving to the GOP in startling numbers forcing Biden to embarrass himself at Morehouse. ?

Because that there is a steaming pile of bullshit. As a HBCU graduate I thought Biden gave a very effective and on point. He talked to the young men about their love for an America that does not always love them back. That could have been part of the commencement speech given to my class of 1980. Race relations have regressed in recent years mostly due to the MAGA movement whose goal is a UNIFIED REICH

Where is bankshot to admonish me for invoking Nazis in reference to Trump and the rightwing.

At least 14 states enacted laws that will make it harder to vote, according to an October 2023 roundup of voting laws from the Brennan Center. More restrictive laws have been enacted in 2023 than in the past decade, excluding a wave of changes in 2021 after the last presidential election.

Republican are always talking about making it easier to vote but harder to cheat when hardly anyone is cheating other than Republican voters.

The Republican efforts to restrict voting access demonstrate the reality of their electoral strategy that depends on fewer voters because when more people vote the GOP lose.

Well then, I'm sure your vote for Trump, and his Presidency, will go a long way to improving the African-American's lot in life
I have detailed numerous reasons why I am not voting for Trump.
None have anything to do with race relation which are the best they have ever been.
Which has been a bi partisan effort in the states and in DC.

It was gratifying to see the Morehouse students not buying the Biden package of lies in trying to pander to them.

That sounds about white.

Your nurse needs to up the Thorazine in your vegemite. You are blowing a gasket, mate. You leak foolishness at an alarming rate.

Are you calling retired British army general Barrish foolish?
He might have a baby face, but there's nothing infantile is his words of warning.

Yeah.

What on earth has the UK been doing...obviously living in a paradise of complacency.

If Russia can do that to Britain, think what China could do to Australia.

Think what Russia could do to every country in Europe that has no shield, likely most of them.

Britain is supposed to have nukes, but are they old and maybe out of date.
Does it have nuke powered and nuke armed subs, more than one or two.

If it does, it should warn the People of Russia that if their missiles start landing in Britain, then Russia will cease to exist.
Where's Trump, he will maybe tell them.

Go to bed, Grandpa! You are drunk!

Trumps social media account shares a campaign video with a headline about a unified Reich

Boy. Brutal times at the DNC searching  for ways to change the subject.

Change the subject? Bruh, when it comes to the GOP and MAGA Nazis, the Song remains the same.

Bill Maher recognizes the Emperors clothing

T o me it says Biden knows he is losing because otherwise he would not have agreed to a debate. Only the loser wants to debate.
Trump wanted to debate too, and had been speaking about it for months. So what conclusion would you draw from that?
The challenger always wants to debate the incumbent.

Biden said bring it on. Trump agrees to terms. I give Trump two weeks before he tries to reframe the ground rules and three weeks before he tries to weasel out of the debates.

Pigs are Flying!

The Republican Party of Minnesota tossed its support behind Royce White, a former NBA player and Black Lives Matter protest leader turned GOP Senate candidate, in his bid to oust Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

Hundreds of Minnesota Republicans  holding signs  reading The People Are Coming  packed into the room where White delivered a speech after receiving the party endorsement.
Prior to joining the Republican Party and running for Senate, White led Black Lives Matter protests in Minneapolis at the height of the controversy surrounding the death of George Floyd.

Republicans pay better

The South auto workers rise to the challenge,
again.

Workers at two Mercedes Benz factories in Alabama have voted against joining the United Auto Workers, the largest autoworkers union in the U.S.
Big blow to an effort to strengthen the presence of organized labor in the South.

The Friday vote was seen as a bellwether for the ability of newly resurgent labor groups to successfully organize in a part of the country known for keeping union activity at bay.

The final count was 2,045 in favor and 2,642 against, according to the National Labor Relations Board, 56 per cent to 44 per cent.
Not even close

Activists acknowledged that many workers who were unhappy with working conditions at Mercedes were also reluctant to join the union, swayed by warnings from company executives and STATE and LOCAL REPUBLICAN politicians that membership would lead to onerous dues and loss of control over their jobs.

The news is good, to be sure.
I think that is as close as you can come to admitting we have under Biden a fundamentally strong economy with an inflation problem. I will have to take it..
Quote
still a long way to overcome the Biden inflation and get back to lower interest rates.
It is "Biden inflation" in the same way it was "Trump unemployment" in 2020.
If you say so.  But then I would expect no less than that from you since Biden campaigned as the adult in the room  in 2020  and was going to settle everything down.
With 18 per cent inflation, tossing favors Willynilly to his voting base, a foreign policy worse  than Obama, he better hope Fat Albert delivers a guilty verdict in New York or Biden will be a one timer.  ( reports from the trial today had the leftist media worried that Cohen and his latest lie may doom the prosecution).
If Biden was the least bit competent this would not be even a close election. This dement is destroying the very fabric of American society.

It will not be as close as the 2020 election and Trump and his sycophants will swear it was stolen
