Of course it's replaceable -that is why the power company itself moved the date up to 2035.  They issued a statement that coal is no longer economically viable and will replace with solar/wind/large battery storage.  The wind blows, the sun glows, enough for distributed grid power.  Learn the science you antipodal anencephalic.  And Britain will be fine because Truss isn't going to be able to kill all the wind farms and subsidizing home insulation upgrades, LED lights, rooftop solar, etc.

Another one bites the dust.

With nothing to replace it.
It, the base load power that powers industry, businesses, homes, computers, tv's and now electric cars.
The leftist and greenist politicians are rushing to close it and have admitted they have no plan B for if the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine.
Talk about madness.
Britain was no1 green dreamer...now look what's happened as a result.

Maybe there is some hope for bambutistan after all.

The country has long sustained its economy on natural resources. Its number one commodity is iron ore, representing nearly a third of all exports, but its coal and gas sales into Asia and India make up a further quarter of the countrys export profile. These dirty fossil fuel dollars have an expiry date on them, but the countrys huge expanses of hot desert represent an opportunity both to power Australia itself, and to replace coal and gas exports with renewably generated clean fuels.

They're gambling that their planned green energy will replace fossil fuels.
The very cautious population, bambu-ilk, say build the green energy first, then when it's proven shut off the coal and gas fired power stations.

My Mother lives in the desert where she has plenty of sun-light, and she has solar panels on her roof, with a Tesla battery system, and she is getting very cheap electricity, she has a huge new air conditioner with complete climate control, and she has a swimming pool. She loves the desert, and for her it is paradise. She is retired, on a low income, and she is blessed to have solar panels on the roof of her home with a Tesla system.

Also, people can use GEOTHERMAL, I had a friend who drilled for Geothermal power for a living, and it is viable in some areas.

Wind and solar are both expanding here big time.

In Anaheim we own the power company, so we make the money, and we are using mostly Natural Gas to generate power. Natural Gas is cheap and plentiful here, and the money is going to the city, some of the money goes into a fund to help the homeless, etc. There is no need for the city to change away from Natural Gas, Natural Gas is cheap and plentiful here.

Salute,

Tony V.

Next year electricity is to rise by 35%  (green subsidies?)  it was announced today.
Leftist PM Albo promised electricity prices would fall by $250 per household.  LOL.

"Cost of living" increases have seen homelessness rise sharply.
Much price-gouging going on, seems to many people.
Not many 'specials' in the supermarkets anymore.
The Aussie dollar is tanking, bad for tourists wanting to travel to U.S....but good for exporters.
Wanna buy some cheap coal?
We have to export coal to live.
No exports, no income, go broke.
Coal power is:
Available.
Reliable.
Affordable.
Should be interesting when little kids are shown homeless and starving on the streets..."cost of living" unaffordable...rent, utilities, food, clothing etc...time to build tent cities.
Should be interesting when the families of the 'Wild Colonial Boys' are falling apart, starving.
Parliament House has already been invaded once in history...unionists and students protest.

No relief, my leftist federal govt insists it is going ahead with renewable energy.
One gas station owner rang Raaay on the radio (no 1 morning host) and said his electricity bill from Jan 1 2023 will increase from $3,500 per month to $7,000 per month.

Electricity prices have already increased by 40% this year.
It's all gonna hit the fan...sooner rather than later.

Yeah. How are the other energy costs? Renewable energy is your path to energy independence and cheaper energy.

Word to the wise,

When you get your news directly from the arsehole of a wombat, it gets a little distorted in the squaring off.

All good.
But that's in the future, not 'next week'.
The People will be rioting before that happens if electricity prices increase as expected.
The govt has to provide it all, the People cannot.

Tell me you know nothing about renewable energy without saying you know nothing about solar and wind power.
