Good idea.
The 'knock em down, drag em out, shoot em if necessary' style tough guys would be best to hire. Shooting as a last resort of course.
There's too much pussy-footing around with violent thugs in the West today.

Mass shooting at medical centre in Atlanta.
Obviously there have to be physical barriers preventing people from just walking into medical centres and killing/severely wounding innocent people.

Are there such barriers in Australia?

No.
But, in general the People in cities are not armed with guns, no handguns or assault rifles legally available to them.
...there isn't a mass shooting in the country nearly every day.

There are such barriers at airports.

There'll continue to be a mass shooting every other day until people start taking security seriously

If by "taking security seriously" do you mean things like "physical barriers preventing people from just walking into medical centres and killing/severely wounding innocent people"?   Because you conceded that Astralia doesn't have such things and yet mass shootings don't happen.  Perhaps there's another element involved in mass shootings here.  An element you continually refuse to acknowledge because of your ridiculous desire to see everyone armed lest they encounter bad purple lurking in the shadows or making sure that yards are kept free from stray soccer balls.  Don't you think that doing more about the proliferation of weapons should constitute an element of "taking security seriously"?

Guns in America are going nowhere, maybe assault rifles...the Second Amendment isn't going anywhere either.
Maybe stricter licencing, purchasing, and registration of gun owners and the guns might help, but probably not a lot.

Good Americans, male and female, do need guns to protect themselves from the "bad people."

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

"Maybe"?  You're the "absolute security" freak and yet you continually ignore the one constant in all the mass murders.  Because people have to protect their yards from stray soccer balls.

I'm all for people continuing to have the right to defend themselves.  And yet for every one of those stories that you can post about somebody shooting a bad guy to protect their kids or themselves, I can post 5 stories about those weapons being used in ways that have nothing to do with "killing bad people lurking in the shadows."

There used to be massacres, crazies with assault rifles..."The Hoddle St Massacre", "The Strathfield Massacre", "The Port Arthur Massacre".
Oct 1996 - Sept 1997 auto/semi auto guns banned...buyback and amnesty saw 650,000 guns confiscated.
New Zealand didn't do the same, ...hence the "Christchurch massacre" was able to happen in recent time.
Then NZ acted.

No 2nd Amendment in my world...the govt makes laws in the parliament, and you do as you're told, or else.

The right to defend themselves...means guns.
Florida...well over 1.3 million people with a valid concealed weapons permit.
One out of every five firearms sold is an AR-Style rifle.
Americans now own an estimated 15 million AR-15s...gun groups say.
Gun owners vote...I can't see US politicians banning handguns and/or assault rifles anytime soon.

So that leaves good security measures needed to foil mass shooters.

A Korean Couple in New York City received a fond farewell from Broadway as they retired and closed their deli...

Restaurants are one main way that immigrants in America get started and begin to climb the ladder. And then the immigrants use their restaurants to earn money to send their children to college, etc, and they climb the ladder.

Here in Beverly Hills when a new Jewish couple comes to America from Israel, if they are poor then the Jewish community will help them to open a Jewish Deli, or whatever, sandwich shops are an easy way to start climbing the ladder.

The Metrolink hired guards who were hiding in their cars instead of guarding the trains, they need to hire guards who will be grateful for the job, and who will not be afraid to guard the trains. The people from Homeboy Industries need the jobs bad, they are desperate, and they are not afraid to guard the trains.
