You are a good guy Bambu, just no more blood baths, no more World Wars. We need peace. We need to use the United Nations and we need to work together for world peace, and Putin is violating international law. We need to put Putin in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and we need to have peace.

We also need to stop slavery and human trafficking and we need to protect the refugees, etc. We need to bring people out of the shadows and we need to make them legal so they can call the police in the case of an emergency and people also need to be able to join Labor Unions, etc.

And for people who need help we have Kiwanis International which is GLOBAL, and they can save children all around the world from troubles.

Kiwanis International

1 hour

Kiwanis is serious about youth protection.

That is why we have created a toll-free, confidential helpline that can be used 24 hours a day by Kiwanis family members and the youth we serve. To access the U.S. helpline, call 866-607-SAFE (7233).

Plus Pope Francis is a great man of peace, and the Catholic church always helps the refugees.

Along with great unions like the United Farm Workers, and the Teamsters. The workers of today are lucky, and the unions will protect the refugees.

Salute,

Tony V.

Gotta catch Putin first, he's very elusive.
Putin is for peace, on his terms, which are not acceptable, so the war continues.
K J Un is going to Russia to meet Putin, reportedly for an arms deal.
Peace seems a long way off.
Russia, China, Nth Korea...the new alliance.
Heaven help us all.

Bambu, trust your friendship with Ferdinand Marcos Jr and with the people of the Philippines, and wise elders such as Gloria Arroyo, we can have peace. Gloria was a powerful woman and her and her cousin Rose and my friend Lisa helped the homeless all over Los Angeles and in Orange County. Lisa had 10 houses that were giant 14 room mansions full of homeless people, and Lisa cooked wonderful food for the homeless people in her houses. Today there are Sober Living Homes, such as the Flagman homes in the OC, and groups such as the Mental Health Association and the Wellness Center will put you in a Sober Living Home and they will feed the person. Anyhow, the people of the Philippines are wonderful, loving people, and the Philippines can help Australia to have peace with China.

I had a roommate who was the daughter of a Chinese General, the Chinese love Malibu, and they loved me, they love the USA, we will be fine, it will all be okay. And the Catholic Church is growing fast in China.

And Biden was just in Vietnam. Everything is cool with Vietnam.

Salute,

Tony V.

Drew Barrymore is wanting to work in spite of the strikes, and she needs to watch "The Grapes of Wrath" starring John Barrymore about the need for UNIONS and about how far we have come since the Great Depression because of UNIONS. And workers cannot get fair treatment from heartless foreign corporations without UNIONS and Labor Laws.

Indeed.

Transport Workers Union just had a win in my High Court today.
Court ruled QANTAS illegally sacked 1700 workers...replacing them with outsourced labour.
"Qantas has faced public outrage in recent weeks, including allegations it sold tickets on thousands of flights that were already cancelled."

Great airline, just that the people running it of late haven't, shall we say, been ...well you know.
Heads are rolling.
Union wants the whole Board replaced.

Hawaii...

Horrible fires happened in Hawaii in 2018.
The People told the state and federal govts what went wrong, and what needed to be done to ensure there was no repeat.

2023 ...even more horrific fires happened, with great loss of life, injury, and loss of property.
Hydrants with no water, no alarms, no evacuation plan, no cell phone warnings.
Post reportedly says that the authorities/ govts did none of what they were told after the 2018 fires.

Saw on my tv one lady in Hawaii say : "We got screwed".

Maybe now things will change...starting with the state govt.

Hi, this is a new online forum, where members of both Third Eye Film and Escape from Elba are invited to join.

https://exelba.freeforums.net/

Some of the trolling issues at Elba will not be issues at Ex Elba, which should make it a more enjoyable alternative. My hope is that by inviting present and past members from both forums could get us to a critical mass of participation that might make for a better online community. I guess we'll see what happens.

Escaping from the escape from Elba. Napoleon should have done that. He might have had a happier end.

Escaping from the escape from Elba. Napoleon should have done that. He might have had a happier end.

There is a scene in the book "The Count of Monte Cristo" where a guy is in a coach with another guy, and he invites the guy to join with him and his group in support of Napoleon in the overthrow of the King of France, when the guy rejects his offer to join the group then the guy tells him that he must die then, and he challenges him to a duel.

I would love to produce and direct "The Count of Monte Cristo" at Cinecitta, and make it a mini-series and keep it true to the book.

And in reality, there are 32,000 people on the island of Elba, and I bet it is not a bad place to live, as with a Greek Island, etc, as long as you have good company and a good library and good food, etc. Richard Branson got rich and now he lives on his own island. It might not be so bad to go live on an island.

Well in the island continent to the south, fires are raging in the Northern Territory.
Unlike in Hawaii, the major one is away from people, but could threaten the town of Tennant Creek in future.
It's on a front 150km wide.
Aerial bombing, manpower are being used, but the fire is moving at 5kph, and they just can't put it out.
Another one has started in a national park there.

Meanwhile, a long way further south and on the coast, team bambu, with bush/forest at our back and ocean at our front, a "horror bushfire season" a possibility, is hatching an escape plan, and preparing to "leave early" with the dog, the valuables, the devices and chargers, food, water, clothes, money, etc in case the worst happens.
"Planning to make a plan is not a plan" - Rural Fire Service chief.

Returned home from grocery shopping today to see smoke on the mountain behind us.
Hopefully it's just the RFS [Rural Fire Service] "hazard reduction burning" [burning the fuel on the floors of the forests.]
The hazard reduction smoke covering Sydney is so thick you can't see vary far in front of you and it's a major health hazard.
Seems ridiculous to me...you can't burn every floor of every forest.
Cut fire breaks around towns/suburbs...and stop with all the smoke.
Cut fire breaks back from roads, so trees can't fall across them and stop people from leaving.

Bambu, have your prisoners install water sprinkler systems to protect you from fires, and have them cut fire breaks, etc, put your prisoners to work to make you safer.

Of note here in Orange County, there is a secret place that no one ever heard of, but a lot of people are coming to, people from New York are coming, and people from the Philippines, people from all over are coming to Lake Forest, California.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Forest,_California

As I was reading, one thing that I was struck by was the great sense of community they have there and community events.

The Church there is the Saddleback Church, Rick Warren was the Minister and he wrote a book "A Purpose Driven Life" about living a life with purpose. Lots of people there do charity work, etc, and they spend their lives doing service to help other people, etc. The big company there is the Oakley Company that makes Oakley Sunglasses, etc. And they have some other companies there. It is a rich area, and they give a lot of money to charity.
