US has requested Australia to send a warship to the Red Sea as part of an international naval force.

Right ScoMo govt would've sent one, but will Left Albo govt?
That's the 64 dollar question.

Left Albo govt's support for Israel's right to defend itself seems to have melted into "ceasefire".
Leftist/Far Left Labor govt's Caucus split, two Muslim MPs and two Jewish MPs in the mix.

Current Right Opposition ( Liberal Party and National Party coalition...LNP)  would send one if in govt, I believe....invoking ANZUS alliance, "US Navy ships need help supporting 'world peace'."

Brick and mortar retailers are suffering due to internet vendors. No gas and easy returns.

Cool, your post from 2005 finally showed up on the forum!

British tourist landed at a dingo lair. When retrieving his body rescuers discovered a baby's jacket, exactly the same as the one Lindy said Azaria was wearing when taken from the tent by a dingo.

Divine providence strikes again.
Linda was released from prison.

And British tourists are pretty replaceable, so there's really no downside here.

Republicans in congress cannot do their jobs to pass legislation that funds our security priorities because they are grifter lowlifes and they need a broken border to get mental defectives like Luee over to their side.

"The Gap" is closer. [Ocean cliff in Sydney]

We're trying to stop people from dying there...not encouraging them.

aleteia. dot com

"Always remember the power of the simple smile, a helping hand, a listening ear and a kind word," advised Don Ritchie.
Where there's life, there's hope. Few people knew that truth more intimately than  Don Ritchie.

Ritchie is credited for saving the lives of hundreds of would-be jumpers at a dangerous seaside cliff in Australia, simply by inviting them into his home nearby for
tea and conversation.

When he died in 2012 at the age of 85, family said that he'd saved some 500 people from suicide, though the official count is 160. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia, and was named Australia's Local Hero for 2011.

We need to flood the libraries in the Philippines with all of the Greek stuff, Aristotle, Sophocles, Aristophanes, Euclid, etc.

And it is sexy when the women from the Philippines dress like the Greeks, and everyone loves sandals. And a good Toga Party is always nice.

We also need to invite the Greek architects to build in Battle Mountain, Nevada, and in other parts of the USA, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc.

The USA was built on the foundation provided by Athens and Rome, and we need to teach our people about Athens and Rome.

And we need lots of libraries, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Australia supply a warship to the Red Sea as requested by the US?
Very unlikely...might happen but there is much doubt it today...the Far Left 'Albanese' federal govt is being accused of caring more about protecting votes in its electorates than protecting shipping in the Red Sea from terrorists and their enablers.

Guess who live in Albo's electorate and the Leftist Labor-held electorates in SW and W Sydney?
Clue...not Jews [might be a few].

Damn the "climate change emergency" brigade!
Damn the "renewables now" brigade!

My electricity went off today for 2 hours, as my dinner was cooking.
No tv, no tablets...they are WiFi only.
My cell phone was flat.
No lights.
It's official...I now live in a far-left run basket case backwater.

Long live coal-fired power stations!
Long live gas-fired power stations!

Your power failure was not caused by renewables.  Outtages are usually a result of grid problems.

I liked the cliff story, btw.  The tea and sympathy guy understood a basic truth - a lot of jumpers are very alone in their lives.
