Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are good for the kids because they learn how to find their way in the forest, and you can tell the time and the direction by looking at the sun, and at night there is the North Star, and the moss only grows on one side of a tree so you can tell direction by looking at the moss on the tree, and also water flows downhill, etc.

And yes, Montana is dangerous, and so is Saint Louis, Missouri. Best to carry a gun. The cowboys all carry guns. And if you are riding the Greyhound Bus across the USA then it is best to stay in the Bus Station in Saint Louis at night, do not even leave the station. I had to view the Arch in Saint Louis from the windows of the Bus Station, they said it was dangerous to leave the Bus Station.

Sad about the tourists, and yes, traveling can be full of perils.

Rome, Italy, is safe, no guns needed, and Cannes, France, is safe, and I suppose Greece would be safe as well. In Malibu we have security guards all over, and gated communities, etc.

So the Biden folks first blamed the Special Prosecutor for being gratuitous in his description of Biden as a feeble old guy with a bad memory therefore forgoing prosecution for what was clearly illegal handling of classified documents.
Today the anger is directed to AG Merrick Garland for not editing ( censoring) the prosecutors remarks( which are legally required).
Does Joe Biden simply pretend to be the Emperor with No Clothes?

Last week I drove (with a reporter via Youtube) 2 hours west of Phoenix, into the desert, to see the thousands of square miles of BLM land available to RV/camping folk, most living there permanently.
BLM rules state they have to move position every two weeks or two months or the like.

Driving on the highway, looking both sides of it, RVs as far as the eye can see.

We then drove off the highway into the land area.
Met a group or permanents, living separately but close, good friends.
They explained...the "freedom".
Cool retired law enforcement guy who happened to be Black said he was happy there.
He and the other guys near him, White guys, said they're living there by choice.
Not "homeless people" as such, one sold a condo and chose the lifestyle.
All not spaced out on drugs.

Very enlightening visit.

Think they said there are truck stops to shower at.

Battle Mountain, Nevada, has an RV Park, and trailer parks, and land for $1,000 per acre. And there is a truck stop where people can take showers. Battle Mountain is safe too. Zero crime.

And Victoria, Canada, has a Kiwanis Village, that would be a great spot for refugees.

Does the $1000 per acre land come with access to electricity?

Add between 20-30 thousand to your homesteading budget and you can bring your own.

Does the $1000 per acre land come with access to electricity?

Some of the land has access to Electricity, Natural Gas, Water, etc.

https://www.propertyshark.com/homes/US/Land-For-Sale/NV/Battle-Mountain.html

My parents bought a 160 acre ranch 60 miles outside of Battle Mountain, and we had a fresh water stream, but no electricity, etc. They planned on having a cattle ranch like the television show "Bonanza" but they made more money from the pigs than they did from the cattle, there is nothing romantic about raising pigs but the pigs were profitable. That would be my advice to settlers who want to settle outside of Battle Mountain, they can raise pigs and they can sell pork and bacon to San Francisco, etc.

I worked at the Colt Casino as a cook, right in the middle of town where the people were.

Add between 20-30 thousand to your homesteading budget and you can bring your own.

If you put solar panels on your roof in Battle Mountain, Nevada, then you would want to put the Heat Film on them to melt the snow, Battle Mountain is very cold in the winter and it snows there.

My Grandfather used a Wind Mill to pump the water for his Duck Pond and he never had a problem with his old fashioned Wind Mill. Then he used the water from the Duck Pond to water his garden, and also for the cattle to drink.

A few hours til Superbowl kick off...nearly 6am in my world now.
That stadium in Vegas is superb.

'My' rugby league team boys will be playing there in 3 weeks.Ticket sales have increased, Russell Crowe has a new ad explaining the sport. Should be a good crowd, for an 'unknown sport'.
Basically NFL type footy...with:
No helmets.
No pads
No timeouts
No blocking
No forward passes
My team likely won't win their match, the team is rebuilding...but they'll look the best, have the best colours and best jerseys and shorts in the league.
'Everybody' hates my team...jealousy is rampant in society.
Not my team's/club's fault it is well run by a stable board whose directors have business acumen, wisdom, common-sense, honesty and are 'independently wealthy' (not needing/wanting to help themselves to money that belongs to the club.)
They have a commitment to excellence, on and off the field.
"The ........are cheating the salary cap" is one of the barbs thrown at us.
No, the club just won't pay 'overs' for players thereby getting itself into financial trouble.

How good do I look going to the footy in my team's colours, jersey, jacket, scarf, gloves etc!
"Every man looks better in a .......'s jersey."   -  bambu.

Workplaces and society in general are full of jealousy, hate, trickery, discrimination, and treachery.

As a child I was a huge fan of the Los Angeles Rams, I even had all of their autographs, Jack Youngblood, and Hacksaw Reynolds, all of those guys were great, I have their autographs still, but then they moved the team to Saint Louis, Missouri, and it broke my heart, How could they not love their fans as much as we loved the Rams? Moving the Rams to Saint Louis did not show any loyalty to their fans in Los Angeles, they just put money ahead of everything else and they broke my heart, and I quit watching Football. I never regained my love for Football.

But, I have the Los Angeles Dodgers to root for in Baseball. The Dodgers have always been a classy team. And I loved Vin Scully, and Tommy Lasorda, and everything about the Dodgers. I wish they would bring the games back to free television, such as to KTLA Channel 5. Gene Autry used to own Channel 5 and he owned the Angels of Anaheim so he showed the Angel games on Channel 5. ( The owner of the Angels now, Arte Moreno, is a crook, he is corrupt, and I want for the Angels to get a new owner who has better character. )

When I was a kid we only had about 8 television stations but we could watch all of the sports, we could see the Boxing, and Baseball, and Football, and the Wide World of Sports, it was all on free television that we received with an antenna. Now they want for everyone to pay money to watch sports, it is all greed motivated now.

I still like the Dodgers, but it would be cool if they would broadcast the games on a free local channel.

Tony,

Did the Rams have to relocate to Missouri to stay in business financially?
Did the League force them to relocate?
