OMG, this is too freaking funny.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/04/politics/donald-trump-mail-in-voting-florida/index.html

In apparent reversal, Trump encourages Floridians to vote by mail

Quote
"Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True. Florida's Voting system has been cleaned up (we defeated Democrats attempts at change), so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail! #MAGA," he tweeted.

Someone finally told him how many GOP voters in Florida do so by mail...

Those millions of doses of hydroxychloroquine we sent to Brazil?

They're sitting in storage.

AXIOS has invited Joe Biden for an interview

What are the odds we ever see it?

100%, Kid.

No matter how you play it up, Biden isn't Trump. And he isn't feebleminded.

Go find a mirror.

What would be lovely is if sometime early in the Biden presidency, perhaps just after the 100 day honeymoon, RBG announces that she is retiring and Biden nominates Obama.  It would be an extra bounce for Biden, put a 2nd black on SCOTUS, and symbolically compensate for the seat stolen from Obama.  It would also be a great move by RBG outlasting Trump.  Though to be honest Biden could find a more liberal justice than Obama.  O would be a great pick if the GOP controls the Senate, but if the Dems have the run of Gov't, I'd go further left.

Did you see Obama’s eulogy for John Lewis?  Or read the transcript?

Lord, y’all just don’t know.

What issues do you think Obama would not come down on the "left" side of?!

I totally agree that he was not the most liberal president in the world. Knew it before he got elected - he was 90% exactly who he had said he would be.

But his understanding of both the Constitution and what constitutes justice?

I would be thrilled to see him on the bench.

I can only imagine that CV-19 has made it even more clear how important health insurance is.
Not to mention, how potentially catastrophic tying health care to employment can be.

UHC is inevitable.
I argued with my conservative friends for years that if they really wanted to avoid actual socialized medicine they should work hard to make the ACA successful.  Otherwise eventually events will make the demand for health care reform unanswerable by anything short of universal care. A mass die off of insurance coverage for millions of unemployed and a condition that will constitute a pre existing condition for millions could do that. I find myself rethinking my support for simply strengthening the ACA based on what we are going through now.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Obàma lacks credentials for that post

Don't belittle the many that are legitimately in the running after years of service and having built superior resumes.

Like Clarence Thomas?

Obama does not, in fact "lack the credentials" for that job. He surely wouldn't be the strongest in prior prep ever, but he would be far from the least prepared.

Resume is not all that it's about, however. Judgment is a big factor. The ability to work with others would be nice, too.You

Perhaps Justice James Clark McReynolds was more your speed.

Katie Porter & Cory Booker are my two Supreme Court picks.

Back 2010 I posted in here Americans don’t like giving back programs they like and the more they saw the ACA the harder it will be to kill it.
