The new Electric VW Buses are going to be cool, they have the "Buzz" which is smaller but they are going to make a larger VW Bus that will be more like the original Buses.

Bambu is a mouse chewn cultural conquistador, ready to plant a flag willy-nilly and hoping the next world is not so full of burrowing parasites.

Spoken like a true Leftist.
Are you from the socialist left of the Democrat Party?

Old man, and his wife of about the same age, sweet couple...the other day, on Australia day, went shopping, supermarket etc.
They wore hats.
In their hats they wore small Australian flags.
People were giving them praise, with some taking photos.

He was arrested by the cops of the leftist govt for "inciting a riot".
What a joke.

It's very difficult to support the cops these days.

I hope they had time to charge their EV before their jingoism got them into so much trouble.

What got him into trouble...he the elderly Aussie patriot...was that the couple had visited the huge Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne to pay homage to the fallen and veterans in general and had walked from there to a shop, wife entered the shop, he stayed outside.
Cops deemed him, ......and his new fans, "I now know how rock stars feel", .....to be too close to a nearby "Invasion Day" protest where Aboriginal and Palestinian flags were being waved.
So he got arrested. "Inciting a riot" the charge. Ridiculous.
He's not happy and is telling the world so. He's in the paper complaining, on tv complaining, a true hero of Australia Day. Not afraid to stand up for the national flag in public.
Andrew Bolt interviewed him on Sky News...Mr Bolt is a patriot.
Frank Strazdins is his name.

Not sure when 'old mate' Frank's trial is...should be very interesting whenever it is. 'Inciting a riot' is a very serious charge.

The couple had their photo taken with an Australian soldier on the day. 3 happy and smiling people.
The couple's happy day turned to horror as the cops pounced.

I have seen a lot of grouchy people lately who are serving the public but they are pissed off and bitter and they are mean to the public. The people at Taco Bell, who are all making $20 per hour now, did not even want to say "You are welcome" after I thanked them for the burrito. And then the Bus Driver was rude and grouchy, and she did not even reply when I thanked her. I worked for many years doing customer service and I was always polite and kind with the public no matter how hard my life was or how little I was paid for my work. I was taught that if you work for someone then you always do a good job for the customers even if you are not being paid fair.

And when I worked at Universal Studios we received 25,000 guests per day, and I was being paid the bare minimum and I was starving, but I was still always nice to the customers, the customers paid a lot of money to go to Universal and many guests came from all over the world, so I was always nice to our guests even though I was poor and could not afford an apartment and food and a car.

Regardless of how you feel about the amount of money you are being paid for your work, etc, then you need to be nice and polite to the customers who are giving their hard earned money for your service. And you always do good work, that is called integrity.

If you agree to do the job then you need to be polite and nice with the public, and professional, and you need to always do good work, otherwise do not take the job. Be nice to people, or do not work doing customer service.

I sense bambutt's tale of the elderly Aussie arrested for wearing a hat has gone from giving us 5% of the relevant information to maybe 15%. At most.

Maybe they don't intend to be like that, could be they are suffering 'housing/mortgage stress', financial problems, relationship problems [cheaters are everywhere today], election year and their side/candidate is not winning, they have to walk everywhere because their car was stolen and wasn't insured, they are 'the working poor, living in their mini van'...or can't afford food.

It's exactly true...put 'Frank Strazdins arrested for wearing flag in hat on Australia day' into Google.

Or go to skynews dot com dot au and do the same, or search 'Andrew Bolt sky news'

They'd gone to the Shrine of Remembrance, it's a huge building, for the 21 gun salute for Australia day.

Oh, and they were both in a shop when they heard noise outside, he went out onto the roadway [blocked off for the day probably] to see what the noise was, saw 100 metres away the protesters, when next minute cops grabbed him and said "you're under arrest", "what for", "inciting a riot", "why, how", "the flags on your head".
Yes, hatred of Australia and its flag is everywhere, and increasing. Mr Bolt is correct, absolutely.
Photo was shown of a seat in a train...on the side of it, on the frame, was written "Burn the Colony".

Oh, and Captain Cook suffered fatal injuries the other day when he was attacked and torn down off his memorial.
He will not be seen there again.
The bad people are winning everywhere today.

True. But I just feel like they need to try to be nice and polite to the customers even if they are under-paid and feel under-appreciated. And like when I worked at Universal, I was starving and I could not afford an apartment nor a car, they were paying me minimum wage, but I was still nice and polite to the customers and the customers were spending a lot of money to come to Universal Studios. I finally quit the job, but I was always nice and polite to the customers when I worked there. If they are going to do customer service then they need to be nice to the customers or quit the job.

Brightline West launched field investigation work ahead of a groundbreaking for the high-speed rail project from Las Vegas to California.

------

The Super Bowl is going to bring a lot of money to Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is turning into a great, fantastic city. Las Vegas was nothing, out in the middle of no where, and they then built Hoover Dam and created Lake Mead, and Bugsy built the Flamingo Casino with money from the Jews and Italians, and then the people who ran the Gambling Ships off of the coast of Santa Monica invested in Casinos in Vegas, etc. Then the Jews and Italians from New York started investing more money in Las Vegas. Now Vegas is a great amazing city.

For the immigrants from the Philippines then I recommend coming to Las Vegas, my Mother's friend came from the Philippines to Hawaii, then she came to the desert of California where she became friends with my Mother, and then she moved to Las Vegas, and then she worked her way up to being the Vice President of a casino in Vegas, and she hired her family and friends from the Philippines to work at the casino where she worked. She came from the Philippines and she found great success in Las Vegas.

Vegas is an American Jewel. And with the new high speed train, etc, Vegas is going to be magnificent.

Salute,

Tony V.

Lots of people from the Philippines are coming to Nevada...

http://www.usa.com/rank/nevada-state--filipino-population-percentage--city-rank.htm

Las Vegas has a lot of Filipinos, and even Battle Mountain has people from the Philippines in their community.

Los Angeles is the leader as a new home for the immigrants from the Philippines, and then there is San Francisco, and San Diego, and New York, etc, but a lot of people from the Philippines are coming to Nevada, and to Las Vegas.

Aussie NRL rugby league is reportedly having trouble attracting a crowd for its "blockbuster double header" in Vegas in early March.
No surprise, the people who live there might not be interested, and the rest are fly in/fly out tourists?
Even giving tickets away they might not get a crowd.
Some sporting officials/bosses don't have much idea.

Also, some of the star players are reportedly having trouble getting visas..."have you ever been charged with a crime"?
Ahem, "yes".

Got to go to second phase visa application scrutiny.

Mostly for 'assault'.
In pub...louts "your girl has an ass like a pig".....players, "whack/punch", cops come, "assault, arrested", charged.

Maybe won't be allowed into America.

The Aussies need some connections high up, like the Mayor of Las Vegas, and the Governor of Nevada, and Senator Jacky Rosen, and Senator Masto, and also there is Vice President Harris, etc. The Aussies need to get the support of the people who are high up in Vegas. And people like Steve Wynn can help the Aussies. Frank Sinatra could have helped, but he is long gone.

They make a mess, do not tip and the nick stuff. Better if they do not come over at all. Keep them in their stinky backwater. Vegas will be doing plenty of business with the superbowl, an event that has sold out.

Having the Super Bowl in Vegas is going to bring a lot of added excitement to the event as people get to gamble and bet on the game, etc, and then with all of the shows and great restaurants, etc, the whole Super Bowl event this year in Las Vegas is going to be fantastic.

And when I was young I had a step father for a few years who was a Boss on the Space Shuttle Program for Rockwell, and they all gambled, they bet on the Football, they bet on Baseball, they bet on everything, and they also used to get together and play Poker, etc, the people at Rockwell all loved to gamble. People love to gamble. Bringing the gambling to the Super Bowl will add to the excitement for people.

So far as the Aussies, they need to appeal to the people at the top in Las Vegas, Nevada, and maybe they can have people gamble on the Rugby match, etc.

People love to gamble, and it adds to the fun of sports to bet on the games. Vegas is perfect for the Super Bowl, this is going to be a great event.
