Hard to win when getting one hit through eight innings.

And what's with this "football season about to start" from the baseball announcer, with most of week five in the books?!

Smoltz talks about how the curve from Suarez was a huge pitch, but really the pitch two before it on a 2-1 count was bigger IMO.

3 inches off the plate inside, but called a strike, making it 2-2 instead of 3-1.

Facing 3-1 with the bases loaded would have been very different.

And I somehow doubt that that pitch is going to be a strike throughout the remainder of the game.

Amazing comeback by the Astros.

Phillies just barely held on, but barely counts as much as by a wide margin.

Yankees won because of their pitching, but having the homers from other than Judge was entertaining. I hope Cleveland wins tomorrow.

It ain't a homer until it's a homer, Josh Donaldson.  Embarrassing.

Well, "tomorrow" was today, but it will have to do! Go Cleveland!

What an amazing day of baseball this has been, so far!

An 18 inning game finishing 1-0, a game with a 9th inning comeback, a sweep of the defending champions.

Dodgers and Padres game has a lot to live up to.

Did the Mariners Astros game ever end? I had a brief window to watch some of the Gaurdiac Kids game, and every time I switched to it they were showing guys I did not care about not getting hits.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Yanks seemingly get a break, able to use Cortez

I would stick with Taillon.  Nestor unaccustomed to short rest.

Cole should get at least an inning.
