Wombats seem to love doomscrolling.

A cross-Strait war would fuck the Chinese economy.   Xi isn't going to risk his hold on power with a gamble that could cost millions of his people their jobs.

Good summary of the current options.

Israel initially made tactical advances against Hamas after a devastating aerial bombardment paved the way for its ground troops. But those early gains have given way to a grinding struggle against an adaptable insurgency - and a growing feeling among many Israelis that their military faces only bad options, drawing comparisons with U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Puts to shame!!!

There is no such organization as the democrat party.

Will Rogers would agree.
No, he would not

I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.

- Will Rogers

(it was a joke, RSW)

Watching mrs bambu trying to drink the colonoscopy prep stuff, I decided that was nearly a fate worse than death.

Yes, Flavor Aid powder, leftover from Jonestown, seems more your libation.  (Flavor Aid was the cheap version of Koolaid, back in the day, and the Rev. Jones was always thrifty.  Some press outlets misreported it as Koolaid, and so the modern catchphrase has perpetuated the mistake)

Trumps social media account shares a campaign video with a headline about a unified Reich

This was not a campaign video, it was created by a random account online and reposted by a staffer who clearly did not see the word, while the President was in court, Karoline Leavitt, the campaign press secretary, said in a statement.

In related news, an urgent call goes out for optometrists to aid Trump staffers with sudden severe vision impairments...

Well.
After five weeks Alvins crck prosecution   team has uncovered a crime!

Its star witness, Michael Cohen, stole money from his Client!

I swear the jury when it gets to the jury room cannot be faulted for concluding Alvin has played them for saps.
If there is one thing a Trump voter like you should know about it is being played for a sap.
How is that ?
Because Trump plays you for a sap. Note the use of the phrase, "should know" with emphasis on the should. Saps like you do not realize they are being played. That is what makes them saps.

I feel like neurons die whenever I read this thread.

Any speculation here on what happened in the Iranian forest?  Given the difficulty Iran has getting repair parts for those old Bell copters, I'm leaning towards accident.  But conspiracy theories are coming I'm sure.

Many reviews were blisteringly bad. Peter Bradshaw for The Guardian called it megabloated and megaboring. Tim Grierson for Screen Daily called it a disaster stymied by arbitrary plotting and numbing excess. Kevin Maher for the Times of London wrote that its a head-wrecking abomination. Critic Jessica Kiang said Megalopolis is a folly of such gargantuan proportions it is like observing the actual fall of Rome.

Now I am interested.

Odd how little I recall of the film.  Bass-Fender was in every war movie I saw in that general time period.  I havent much liked Tarantino post Jackie Brown.  Hipster film buff jacking off - describes him well.

I do not fit your pigeonhole so all you have left are insults.
Have at it.

Oooh! This will be fun!  May I suggest some handy phrases from The Argument Clinic sketch?

Dont give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!

Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type makes me puke!

You vacuous, toffee-nosed, malodorous pervert!
