I met a black guy at a party who was from South Africa, and he said that under apartheid he would not be allowed to attend a party with white people. He said that racism in South Africa was really bad. He got a film made by Steven Spielberg, "Amistad," and he invested all of his money in McDonald's fast food restaurants in South Africa, and he hired his family to work at his restaurants to help his family. He smashed any notion of blacks in South Africa as being lazy, or being poor at business.
My thoughts on Africa, including South Africa, is that they can benefit from the rise of China, and they can do trade with China, and they can work together on projects, etc. The Chinese are not racist against the blacks, nor the whites, and there is no history of racism between China and the Africans. The Chinese can help Africa a lot, including South Africa.
Africa, and South Africa, needs to forget about the past and Africa needs to move into a good new future with China.
There are always going to be racists on both sides with the blacks and the whites, and people who want power will fight the two sides against each other to gain or retain power, progress has been made, but there are still problems, and the Africans are not going to have those problems if they focus on relations with China.
And people need to hear more success stories, to stomp out the notion that blacks in South Africa are incapable in any way.

‘Bury them alive!’: White South Africans fear for their future as horrific farm attacks escalate
NEARLY every day, horrific acts of rape, torture and murder are carried out on a community under siege. WARNING: Graphic.
LAST month, British woman Sue Howarth and her husband Robert Lynn were woken at 2am by three men breaking into a window of their remote farm in Dullstroom, a small town in the northeast of South Africa, about 240km from the nearest capital city.
The couple, who had lived in the area for 20 years, were tied up, stabbed, and tortured with a blowtorch for several hours. The masked men stuffed a plastic bag down Mrs Howarth’s throat, and attempted to strangle her husband with a bag around his neck.
The couple were bundled into their own truck, still in their pyjamas, and driven to a roadside where they were shot. Mrs Howarth, 64, a former pharmaceutical company executive, was shot twice in the head. Mr Lynn, 66, was shot in the neck.
Miraculously he survived, and managed to flag down a passer-by early on Sunday morning. Mrs Howarth, who police said was “unrecognisable” from her injuries, had multiple skull fractures, gunshot wounds and “horrific” burns to her breasts.
In any other country, such a crime would be almost unthinkable. But in South Africa, these kinds of farm attacks are happening nearly every day. This year so far, there have been more than 70 attacks and around 25 murders in similar attacks on white farmers.
Earlier this month, for example, 64-year-old Nicci Simpson was tortured with a power drill during an attack involving three men at her home on a farm in the Vaal area, about two hours drive from Johannesburg.
When paramedics arrived, they found three dead dogs, and the woman lying in a pool of blood, spokesman Russel Meiring told News24. “They used a drill to torture her,” police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini said.

Doctors Without Borders

URGENT UPDATE: Extreme flooding has displaced hundreds of thousands of people in South Sudan. Urgent aid is needed.
An estimated 835,000 people in South Sudan have been affected by severe flooding, forced to flee with nothing. Those living in flood-affected areas have lost their homes and live in makeshift camp sites, where they face food insecurity, loss of income, malnutrition, and a lack of clean drinking water.
Doctors Without Borders teams run a hospital in the Bentiu camp, which is the largest camp for internally displaced people in South Sudan. Our teams have set up sanitation and water treatment services inside the camp to reduce the risk of disease outbreaks, and are providing critical aid to those in the camp.
More help is needed.

Thank God for Doctors Without Borders, the Peace Corps, UNICEF, and others, including the World Bank.
The people in South Sudan can be helped, and civil engineers can help to solve the problems, etc.
I love that instead of sitting around watching people suffer, there are groups of people who go in and take action and help people, they do not just talk, they take action.

Poor people need to rise and acquire the means to advance their society, like the Romans, who built aqueducts, and sewage systems, and indoor plumbing, etc. Instead of sitting around starving they can have water flowing in for their gardens and they can build wonderful libraries and they can be well fed and with plenty of water while they sit in their gardens and read wonderful books.
And as was the case in Mogadishu where there were bad people who were forcing the good people to starve, we need to give guns to the good people so that they can rise and grow food and build aqueducts and so that they can build universities and libraries, etc. The good people need to be able to protect themselves and their children and they need to be able to provide food for themselves and their children. Anyone who stands in the way of healthy civilization and food and water and libraries, needs to be removed from power.
And violent gangs should not be in power, the good people need to rise to the top and the good people must be in power so that the best lifestyle might be attainable for the people.
