Looking at availability, the Pacers are going to give the Celtics a much better series than we would be able to. I will be rooting for the pacers and for further breakouts from Obi.

No way I can root for Indiana. No fucking way.

They got thru the Bucks without Giannis....and with Middleton and Lillard dealing with injuries. They got through us with....well, you know that story well enough.

And I expect they'll keep winning if, say, Tatum and Brown get hit by a bus.

Halliburton's final gesture, wearing a Reggie choke hoodie in the postgame interview, was beyond weak.

Fuck him. Fuck the Pacers. Next year can't come soon enough.

(Though the Dallas-Minnesota series, that should be some good shit!)

Yeah, the year gave a lot more pleasure than pain.

When you think about that last game, we simply didn't have the strongest team. Aside from the injuries that kept so many guys from playing, both Hart and Hartenstein were obviously laboring from significant injuries, and could give only a fraction of their normal impact. I think it's fair to add Jalen to that list, even before the hand fracture.

But they fucking kept striving.

Already there's been an onslaught of trade ideas to get the Knicks that missing superstar, that missing piece.

I have no idea what folks are thinking. I think it's pretty clear we have the talent right now. And the chemistry. And the mindset.

Right now.

Just gotta keep healthy...and keep developing a young player or two.

Defense was fucking exquisite last night.

So much pleasure in this brand of basketball. So many stories.

And who would've thought Burks found his 2021-22 mojo.

Note that the league, in their infinite wisdom, has once again given a short turnaround for the series. Sunday's game is a matinee.

Gotta wrap it up Friday.

Seems to work on Safari.

It's funny how the Game 4 blow-out was, eventually anyhow, a lot less painful than losing a close one.

Just one of those things.

Meanwhile, Game 5 approaches. The challenge of the year.

Will Thibs adjust? Will the Knicks step up? Whatever happens, for Chrissakes, no wide up threes for Halliburton.

Yeah, that's a good way of saying it.

Shame that the contributions of Burks(!) and Devo didn't result in a win.

Deuce is due.

I am worried we are going to have a very hard time winning two of the next five with the guys we have available to play.

History says that role players have higher production at home than they do on the road in playoff series. I find that very worrying.

Excellent! You're so right!

Carlisle pretty rigid.

BTW....Toppin and McConnell have been playing great....

....but they're reserves, so you gotta take them out at crunch time?

Not complaining!

These games are incredible.

I don't even know what to say about Brunson anymore.

Just spectacular.

Before the 6th game, I wrote him with the sacred injunction:

No congrats until the final buzzer.

The final buzzer!

This squad does not do nuttin easy! But they won and advanced!

When the Knicks were up  22 my buddy started to fire up an Auerbach and I could have slapped the shit out of hm and sure enough.

So funny! In game 5, in the fourth I get a text from a friend saying "The Knicks are Back!" or some shit.

Immediately I felt the presence of a dark cloud....

He's learning, man.

In many ways, it's a new role. You can see him processing it all.

I got faith in the guy!
