Hey josh, is banks still banned, banned again, or is he MIA because of another adolescent snit?

Asking for a friend.

Nope Hammy, not banned, nor snit. I just decided to pull back, for a few reasons, and reassess Elba et moi. I have posted in the baseball and NFL forums, far less contentious. Unfortunately partisan politics and bullshit has become the national pastime and sport here in Elba, and its not a good thing. I check in here from time to time and pick-up mail read Tony's posts (keep up the good work Tony salut) and noticed a couple of posts to address. So I did.

Quote
Banks went stark raving mad for a year over bullshit b3cause once he staked out a position he never, ever backs down even if he is one hundred miles off track.

What Larry is referring to is his admission that he made a mistake and mislead this forum with a bogus quote that he knew was misleading.

He presented a 2016 quote as if it were 2020 to make a point that white Americans are racist!

Big surprise.

My position was Larry knowingly misled this forum.

Larry position was he just made a mistake.

He did make a mistake.

Yet he knew exactly what the mistake was before I told him of the mistake.

HEH

Larry its water under the bridge leave it be.

and leave me out of your arguments unless you want me to engage.

Depending on your line, (I'm using yahoo) I think its 8 U-dogs this week.

9 with Thu game, right?

Miami
Jax
New E
Saints
WFT
Lions
Vikes
Panthers
Eagles

Pats opened -3 and moved to -1 .5 to -2.5. Never some them as a dog.

Holy shit - what an underdog week (9-3 covers I think)

HEH

Its been a heavy U-dog cover since week 1.

First 4 weeks were like 11,9,10,9 U-dog covers

Last four weeks have average 8 u dog covers

I'm surprised such an astute handicapper as yourself was unaware of this.

Depending on your line, (I'm using yahoo) I think its 8 U-dogs this week.

Observation from week 1

Interesting first week with dogs barking and covering in 12 of the 16 games.

Pats had the over by themselves.

weird.

They looked dominating against a team I had as pretty decent.

23-21 Pats

Behind backup QB

I see it same way, Pats in a low scoring defense dominated from both sides squeeker.

Unless there are a lot of turnovers, or fluky ST plays, the punters will be busy in a field position type game.

You're sitting on the o/u, I'll take the under

Pats 20-17

GO PATS

RIP Sam Huff

One of the first NFL stars I was aware of and rooted for WBW.

more offense and TDs and less punts in that 1st qtr than I figured

This was in Shaughnessy's column this AM

"When Cleveland makes its first trip to Anaheim next baseball season, it will be the first Guardians-Angels matchup."

Curtis Sliwa should throw out the first pitch and the first 10,000 customers should get red berets

Using WAR stats instead of arbitration is proposed: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/11/mlb-proposes-replacing-arbitration-with-salaries-based-off-player-war-totals.html

Arbitration can lean a little more heavily than most modern teams do on traditional box score statistics like pitcher wins, saves, and hitters

It'll never work

Teams can manipulate that number through playing time, batting order placement, etc.

There would be grievances all over the yard.

Yup.

And even if everything was kosher, accurately benchmarking WAR to salaries is tough and would lag the FA market by at least a year and IMO benefit owners disproportionately.

Hammy I don't feel embarrassed in the least by telling the truth, but I will take your advice.

Have a wonderful day

Why would you inhabit a ball busting site like this with you having such thin skin, Banks?

Speaking of growing the fuck up, always a nice tidbit to toss repeatedly into any reasonable conversation, with a little self awareness you could one day become a real boy.

I would be very impressed if you manage a sincere sounding apology. I would stand and golf clap at such an unlikely event.

Fac there's a world of difference between ball busting and getting stabbed in the back. I've busted balls with many members here (and the NYT) for over 25 years, so the rules of the road are mostly understood. And in moderation is fun. Sometimes I and others exceed the speed limit, common sense, and good taste. It happens when things get fast and furious. And for those excesses I sincerely apologize.

But getting shivved in the back, particularly from a trusted source, is a whole different matter.

and fac I don't post to your level of exhibited propriety, (for example, I generally don't call for the extermination of a political opponent (s) or ascribe to your preference for violence in political squabbles our democracy under takes from time to time) I try for a higher standard.

Nor do I care about your applause.

I hope that helps and it should allow you use of both hands in your circle jerks.

xoxo

LMAO

I understand you're angry but move on Josh

sweet dreams Joshie

maybe you can dream of courage and integrity!

Damn dude.

Grow the fuck up, will you?

Take your own advice and invest in some couch time with a shrink.

Larry

Josh banned me for no reason (stabbed me in the back) and diid some other shit, and after a few days he did apologize and said he was wrong.

But when I asked him why he was wrong and why he did what he did he basically told me he wasn't going to waste his time on my questions.

So I went off on him with some unpleasant truths about his behavior.

Josh said he wanted to move on.

I agreed, as I saw little reason to interact with him.

Yet since his apology/non-apology he has been playing his stupid passive-aggressive games.

So I continued to fuck with him.

But with nothing but the truth.

And he's just getting upset.

So Fuck him

All I asked him was why he did what he did and to take accountability for his actions and he couldn't do it.

That he feels he needs to step down is probably a good decision for him.

An apology was not sufficient?

Bruh...

Seriously, stop analyzing everyone and take care of your own shit.

No Larry it was not.

When someone stabs you in the back and says  after a few days "sorry", the stabee is entitled to ask the stabber why, the fuck did you stab me?

YMMV

And when the stabber says they're not going to tell you why they stabbed you, you're entitled to consider the apology
insufficient, insincere and lacking.
Your analogy is hurtful to those who have been victims of stabbing. You are a stabbist.  Please cease your hateful behavior.

Boz As a member of that community who has felt that pain (trocar-chest tube) long ago, I may have been cavalier in that regard. So I will try to keep the stabbith holy.

The point was I wanted Josh to examine his behavior, answer some questions, and grow the fuck up.

He knew before he banned me, it was probable I did nothing wrong, but he banned me anyway.

I was curious why.

And Larry re analyzing other posters, your analysis of me IMO was dead wrong.

But anytime you want to share your notes and can show me the offending words, posts, whatever, I will answer your questions and apologize completely and sincerely.
