Frank pulls out of WCC play. “Getting ready for upcoming NBA season” is the reason given.

Very good points, one and all. I also like that none of the new signings will struggle to compete physically with top players at their positions physically. Robinson ‘s weight and strength vs. centers is the biggest question mark in that group in terms of physical profile, but he may be more of a PF in early years at least.

Talent gathering - check.

Talent retention & development - optimistic, but remains to be seen.

So,  millions of votes,  and they found 19 were fraudulent.

It's the End Times.   Crack open the 7th seal.   Release the four horsemen.

They did. Roy Moore was the first, riding just as well as he campaigned.

We’ve made it to the big time boys!

Makes for choppier threads. I might employ the ignore function to make re-reading the conversation cleaner as this turbulence plays out. If you don’t click the links, it’s hopefully no more than a fart in the wind.

In my previous mullings on the roster I forgot to mention that Burke and Mudiay should get first crack at reserve guard minutes. I have two angles on this; they are the two of our lotto repo crew who we have bird rights to next year and Fizz wants guards who can do both jobs, to differing degrees this is true of Mudiay and Burke. It seems more true of them than it does of Dotson and Lee who I recon weaker point guards than Manny and Trey are shooting guards, even with Mudiay’s shooting percentages.

I think the Princeton Mafia out thunk themselves by not finding a way to get a team option for a year two with Mario (unless they tried and failed, which is actually perfectly ok and diffuses that particular issue). We should have tried the same with Vonleh who has a tiny contract, or even guaranteed him a second year to establish Bird Rights. Maybe even offered Mario 2 at his rate as well on the similar reasoning anticipating the market for two or three years and looking at our time frame. On the other hand, one can be resigned with some cap space and the other less impressive can be offered the bi-annual exception to return and with further progress get locked in down the road. I guess there is some hedge for success, but I would have preferred it to be a stronger hedge in that direction.

A Democratic House where a quarter or more of the minority republican Congresscritters win their races by ducking trump rather than embracing him would mean that trump can be impeached and removed in 2019. It would mean at least 20 republican Senators would be running in 2020 in States where they would understand that trump is pure political poison. Impeachment and removal is a quasi-legal quasi-political process. That would sow up the politics. Trump has already hung himself on the law by first committing then admitting to numerous high crimes and misdemeanors while at the same time driving all his coconspirators to turn against him.

Oklahoma’s Tom Cole is showing the younger sheep with their e-cigs how it’s done.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/24/politics/trump-tower-doorman-contract-ami/index.html

Now that the National Enquirer has turned on Trump, folks previously bound to silence by their exclusivity contracts are now free to talk.

This one is now talking.

Does it involve anything criminal? Probably not.

But it does seem pretty likely to involve an out-of-wedlock child.

Yeah. We’re going to have a slow rolling avalanche of trump’s secret children and coerced abortions right on through the elections. Also NYC & NYS probably don’t feel the same compunction not to bring new indictments or other similar bombshells down in the trump klan during election season.

Which trump spawn is first to grab an immunity deal of their own and turn on the patriarch? I think it will be Eric followed closely by Ivanka.

Red goes bot bot, while giving himself a manual.

Is that the word fancy Bear is spreading in your district these days? Nice to know...

Think about the fact that trump completely lacks the capacity to faithfully convey to his own attorneys the full extent of his criminal culpability and exposure. Trump can’t get the names and numbers right on a report he is spoon fed by aides minutes before talking about it. Working with a decompensating douche bag that erratic seems to lead his underlings to make copious recordings and notes as an antidote to the chaos. Now all those documents are poised to flush out the cause of the disease.

Our money is good. Even republicans are having a hard time sabotaging that. This administration is making us less safe than ever. And there is this,

http://www.vox.com/2018/8/23/17772990/trump-fox-and-friends-transcript

There isn’t a country in the world dumb enough to send us immigrants that would support the GOP.

There is a less than 15% chance trump runs in a general election again. The other 85% percent is divided between his being removed from office, him stroking out once his children are convicted (no later than Valentine’s Day, 2019), and finally that he is beaten in a primary by another candidate.

Once the republicans lose control of Congress, trump won’t have the support to cancel elections which is his only real chance to stay in power.

Hey Bambi, you got the double bonus. Dutton went down and is proved no leader. Trumbull is on record saying former PMs shouldn’t sit in parliament, so logically is about to resign. Don’t the libs have only a single seat majority? Be funny if Sydney flipped sending the whole infighting  misleadership into the minority and gave Labor control of the government even earlier than anticipated.

I think they hold tight as long as they are still winning chips. If GS takes four or five in a row, it’s not likely we see Durant leave in the middle of that.

To add a Knicks musing, the lineup of Kanter, Vonleh, Knox, Hezonja, and Frank has a lot of mismatch potential. I revisited some Mario video. We may have to play the kid. Vonleh, Knox, Hezonja, Hardaway, and Ntilikina would be a small ball version of that lineup. It could also be fun with Mitchell replacing Vonleh in the small version and Kanter in the bigger lineup I started with.

I’m hoping Fizz finds (and sticks with) groupings that groove.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/white-house-blocks-bill-protect-elections-173459278.html

The headline seems wrong, but somebody in the GOP surely blocked this bipartisan legislation to protect our elections.

Blocking election protection is gang initiation in GOP MS-13. They’re fixing to mug some old and sick people to compliment their recent huge robbery and spate of kidnappings. It’s all about turf, so they want a wall. They are definitely down with the “snitches get stiches” mentality. Drug money, gun running, fraud, money laundering, and corrupting law enforcement are pillars of their standard operating procedure.

We need a zero tolerance policy for the republican party. Send the 2000 top leaders to baby cage Walmart jail to await eventual processing. If you pay these thugs 10 cents an hour, you are nearly getting your money’s worth.

Roger Cohen’s guilty plea must be under seal, unlike Michael Cohen’s very public guilty plea.

That or all Jewish names must sound the same to a real crack-ass cracker.

=================

Now that trump has thrown off his almost human mask and gone full MS13, it will be interesting to see how many republicans stick around long enough to get tatted into the gang as well.
