No idea what a talking meerkat in a smoking jacket has to do with it.   Or strange women lying in ponds distributing swords.

A national ID makes sense.   Could also function as a passport in travel where no special visas are needed.   Make it so you can get one at any government office.   For remote areas,  have something mobile,  like a bookmobile.

Biden has decided to use executive action to extend the  moratorium on evictions. This despite numerous previous extensions and a ruling by SCOTUS that a new  extension can only be done through an act of Congress.
Pelosi could not deliver.
So now the progressives are wailing and Joe admits that to placate them he will do something that he has admitted  is illegal.

Joe and the gang find governing by the rules is just too hard.

It's not illegal.  Learn to read.

You're just a dick. Always have been, always will be. You chose the right profession, where you can get paid to be a dick.

Dick.

Lime's a gigolo?  Did not know that.

See you guys around.   Thanks for some good times,  illuminating chats, web tidbits.

Thought:  when you don't temp ban for trolling,  pretty soon all you'll have is trolling and reactions to the trolling.   All honest discussion evaporates.

You've still got some good sports threads,  so I think Elba will keep on rolling.   I'll try to look in FTtT,  maybe drop in a movie review.

https://www.csis.org/analysis/escalating-terrorism-problem-united-states

To answer these questions, this analysis compiles and analyzes an original data set of 893 terrorist plots and attacks in the United States between January 1994 and May 2020.

This analysis makes several arguments. First, far-right terrorism has significantly outpaced terrorism from other types of perpetrators, including from far-left networks and individuals inspired by the Islamic State and al-Qaeda. Right-wing attacks and plots account for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994, and the total number of right-wing attacks and plots has grown significantly during the past six years. Right-wing extremists perpetrated two thirds of the attacks and plots in the United States in 2019 and over 90 percent between January 1 and May 8, 2020. Second, terrorism in the United States will likely increase over the next year in response to several factors. One of the most concerning is the 2020 U.S. presidential election, before and after which extremists may resort to violence....

Lots of folks can justify a sort of partial racism to themselves,  like "I'm not racist about the important stuff, yay equality, yay easy voting access, but I am seeing all these people looking for handouts or conducting muggings in the park and I know my totally random sample shows most of them are [favorite blamed group]...."  They clamp onto this Racism Lite and pretend they're just shrewd observations about socioeconomic status.
