"It was a random dude just ran up to the balloon, stuck a knife in it, and ran off. We had police close by because of another driver earlier, so they went over and arrested him and his getaway driver," Gulas told CNN through Twitter.

Whats the usual sentence for a balloon attack?  And what the fuck took so long.

The baby blimp is free speech.  You and Red keep saying how strongly you favor that.

Wonder how long that free speech would last if Trump-inc hoisted two balloons mocking two Democrat women.

Like this, for example.

"It's climate change" shout the usual 'suspects'.

More like lightning, arson, and in one case cops laid road spikes to stop the car of a wanted person...the spikes shredded the tyres, they fell off and sparks from the rims ignited grass/bushland starting a massive forest fire.

That balloon should never have been allowed.

When 'Sarah Palin' was hanging in a noose from a roof in LA...they called it 'art'.
And 'John McCain' was burning to death in a chimney on the same roof...they called it 'art'.

Didn't call it 'art' though when they found 'Barack Obama' hanging in a noose from a tree at a university in Kentucky, in reply.

GASP!

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/06/politics/us-turkey-weapon-misuse/index.html

US believes reports that Turkey misused US weapons in invasion.

What on earth is the US doing giving weapons to Turkey?  or selling them.

You'd think Washington would've learnt from what happened when it armed Indonesia and gave it the green light to invade East Timor.

The slowest learner I know claims to live in Australia.

Not slow enough to ever set foot in Mexico though. :)

Ban reciprocating saws!

No, they're good for chopping up Mexican drug cartel butchers.

Is anyone ringing talk radio in America saying: "Slow-learners are still going to Mexico"?

Trump obviously believed the US was backing the wrong horse in Syria, so he got US troops out.
US doesn't like what Turkey is doing?
Simple...hit Turkey with strong sanctions, and turn the screws tight.
Should never have given Iran back the $150 billion that was frozen.

Meanwhile, China just sips on some more tea while the Middle East wars continue.
See China taking any refugees from Syria?

Why must it always be US troops who sacrifice their lives/be maimed for life in these dumb Middle East wars?
Where's NATO- nuke-armed France, nuke-armed Britain, Germany, etc...India, Indonesia, Canada, Mexico?

As long as you read the work and as a result more fully understand how you are betraying the country with your continued spineless adulation of trump and the perverse twisted remnants of the GOP, the disposition of the proceeds is not important.

Mrs bambu was in Japan earlier this year [I'd advised her, seeing as how her group promotes peace, love, harmony, friendship in the world …..that she should not mention the war, whales, or anything political.]

Finally someone asked her, "you like Mr Trump"?
'Political'!
She was hesitant at first but then made a decision [rabbits frozen in the headlights often end up badly-off.] and said 'yes'.
They said; "We love Mr trump, he's the only one who stands between us and the madman over there".

Mr Trump...duly elected President of the United States by the American People...under exactly the same system as they elected Mr Obama.

There is a permanent Trump-negotiated ceasefire in Syria...Turkey hasn't invaded any further?

Turkey and Syria have been fighting for at least the last 4 days, Bambi. Do try to keep up.

Then it's time to get out the big stick and hit Turkey with it.
Turkey invaded Syria...UN should fire a large missile into Turkey and wipe out Erdogan's palace, for starters.
UN should slap Turkey with drastic sanctions on everything....food, water, weapons, all trade to cease...then the Turkish people will take care of Erdogan when they're eating grass like the people in NK.

It is curious that as the US found itself waging a global war against Muslim fundamentalists, it chose to overthrow Saddam's secular regime, undermine Assad's similar Baathist gov't, and bomb Qaddafi out of existence.
Also, dropped Mubarak like a rock and was willing to engage with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

All of which brought more power and influence to the religious gov'ts of Iran and Saudi Arabia.  And the nascent Muslim nationalism of Turkey's Erdogan.

So the US has helped wipe out the ME secularists and allowed the religious fundamentalists to flourish.

Poor advice to Washington by its supposed experts?
Maybe they should've listened to Luee from this forum instead.

Comical to call it a Trump peace.
To recap:
Trump pulled the US out, resulting in a Turkish invasion of a sovereign country with the goal of ethnic cleansing, forcing the Kurds to flee, bringing Russia and Syria into the region for the first time in years.  Some Kurds killed and lots of refugees uprooted by this military dislocation.

Then Putin and Erdogan reached a truce agreement with both sides occupying Syrian territory near the border, after Trump washed his hands of the matter.  The US withdrawal was so erratic, Trump didn't have a plan where the withdrawn US troops would go or whether any were still needed in Syria.  And Kurds were killed and harassed in the process, instead of some kind of negotiated pullback from the get go.

Trump created a mess, abandoned an ally, aided war crimes, and left it to others to patch things up = Trump Peace!

Goes to show what Turkey is all about.
Turkey should be the one attracting the ire of the world.

Kurds should be all moved back to Kurdistan, where they can be protected from Turkey.
Let Syria-Russia fight Turkey over Syria.
Putin wouldn't be so stooped as to not protect the Christians in Syria, seeing as how Russia is basically a 'Christian' country.

US troops out of Syria, and home for Christmas,...that's good.
They can now be used to seal the US-Mexico border.

US should never have been in Syria in the first place, backing the 'Muslim rebels' against the protector of the Christians Assad.

Would President Pelosi, Sanders, Warren stand up to NK, Iran, Turkey?  Threaten them with annihilation?

Well, Trump sat down with NK.
Got zero accomplished.

Did Trump stand up to Turkey?
He had to scramble our military out of the way so Turkey could invade, letting Russia and Turkey be the key players in Syria.
Boosts Assad's and Iran's standing there too.
We'll see how that plays out.

Trump has been tough on Iran which I think will backfire, maybe spectacularly so.

You won't like a nuke-armed Iran...is my guess.

There is a permanent Trump-negotiated ceasefire in Syria...Turkey hasn't invaded any further?

Some acknowledgement you’ve caught up with the topics recent to the discussion, perhaps some kind of segue? Nah. Why bother?

Been busy hosting American tourists.
No MAGA hats.

Threaten them with annihilation?
