What is a vibration analyzer?

Balanset-1A is a two-channel device for balancing and vibration analysis. It's suitable for balancing rotors such as crushers, fans, mulchers, choppers on combine harvesters, shafts, centrifuges, turbines, and more.

Features:

Vibrometer mode:

Tachometer: Accurately measures rotational speed (RPM).

Phase: Determines the phase angle of vibration signals for precise analysis.

1x vibration: Measures and analyzes the fundamental frequency component.

FFT spectrum: Provides a detailed view of the frequency spectrum of vibration signals.

Overall vibration: Measures and monitors the overall vibration levels.

Measurement log: Stores measurement data for analysis.

Balancing mode:

Single plane balancing: Balances rotors in a single plane to reduce vibration.

Two plane balancing: Balances rotors in two planes for dynamic balancing.

Polar graph: Visualizes the unbalance in a polar graph representation for accurate weight placement.

Restore last session: Allows you to resume a previous balancing session for convenience.

Tolerance calculator (ISO 1940): Calculates the acceptable balancing tolerance according to the ISO 1940 standard.

Grinding wheel balancing: Circular groove – used for grinding wheel balancing. In this case, 3 counterweights are used to eliminate unbalance.

Charts:

Overall charts: Provides visual representation of overall vibration.

1x charts: Displays the vibration patterns of the fundamental frequency component.

Harmonic charts: Shows the presence and impact of harmonic frequencies.

Spectrum charts: Presents a graphical representation of the frequency spectrum for in-depth analysis.

Additional capabilities:

Archive: Store and access previous balancing sessions.

Reports: Generate detailed reports of balancing results.

Re-balancing: Easily repeat the balancing process using saved data.

Serial production balancing: Suitable for balancing rotors in serial production.

Balanset-1A also offers the flexibility to select either the Imperial or Metric system, ensuring compatibility and convenience globally.

Balance rotors in one and two correction planes. The number of balancing planes is determined based on the design features of the rotor of the balanced machine.

Balancing in one plane ("static") is usually performed for narrow disc-shaped rotors without significant axial runout. Examples of rotors in this class include narrow grinding wheels, pulleys of belt drives, disk flywheels, gear wheels, clamping chucks of lathes, narrow fans, and more.

Balancing in two planes ("dynamic") is carried out for long (shaft-like) two-bearing rotors. Examples of rotors in this class include rotors of electric motors and generators, compressors and pumps, turbine and fan impellers, wide grinding wheels, spindles, shafts of grain mills with beaters, and more.

Before measurements, select installation locations and install vibration and phase sensors according to the recommendations provided.

It is recommended to perform measurements in vibrometer mode before balancing. If the total vibration value V1s (V2s) is approximately equal to the rotational component value V1o (V2o), it can be assumed that the rotor unbalance contributes significantly to the mechanism's vibration. If the total vibration value V1s (V2s) significantly exceeds the rotational component value V1o (V2o), it is recommended to inspect the mechanism – check the bearing conditions, the stability of mounting on the foundation, the absence of rotor rubbing against stationary parts during rotation, the influence of vibration from other mechanisms, etc.

Studying the time function and vibration spectrum charts obtained in the "Charts-Spectral Analysis" mode can be useful.

It is recommended to ensure the absence of significant static imbalance before balancing using the device. For horizontally oriented rotor axes, manually rotate the rotor by 90 degrees from the current position. If the rotor is statically unbalanced, it will rotate to the equilibrium position. After the rotor reaches the equilibrium position, place a balancing weight at the top approximately in the middle of the rotor length. Select the weight to keep the rotor stationary in any position. This preliminary balancing helps reduce vibration when starting a highly unbalanced rotor.
