"What does it mean to have the story of Eugene Williams, 17 year-old black boy, which then becomes the story of Emmett Till, which ten becomes the story of Laquan McDonald?" she asks. "What does it mean for us to be constantly living this recurring nightmare?"

Is the past prologue?

It means you suck at raising your boys to be men.

The everlasting legacy of Obama the Arrogant.

Student debt is soaring—it is now nearly $1.5 trillion—and defaults are at a record.

Like most of the major problems we have today Ronald "Look at those monkeys dance" Reagan started it. It's his legacy. Put down the rewrite pen.https://www.salon.com/2014/07/05/ronald_reagan_stuck_it_to_millennials_a_college_debt_history_lesson_no_one_tells/

Back to CFB forum with you, where you can root for the school that protected the rapist of its own players.

Desertification of the Amazon, eh, biology teacher?

Sure, man.

Maybe when Christmas comes around you can ask Santa to smack some fucking sense into you.

Change your reading, watching and listening habits.

You are about two feet tall and shrinking by the day.

Nothing can help you if you won’t help yourself.

Typical extremist wing of the party. "If you don't agree with me, you are dysfunctional."

Grow up.

The trade Eli to Indy crowd has begun in NJ.

Because you and all the others strangely missed it.

And it's not a joke.

So what?  Some state employee fired off some overheated rhetoric about who a school should be named after, and that we shouldn't give money to Israel, and that U.S. treatment of African Americans was like a holocaust.

And was fired.  I don't know that I'd disagree with everything he said (not being up on the details of NJ politics and school namings), but I see no real problem with firing a recent hire who shows bad judgement.  The bit about sterilizing Ethiopian immigrants sounded like tinfoil hat crazy, and the government is probably better off without the guy.

The real question, since this is a political discussion forum, should be as to the truth of any of his statements.  Even a tinfoil hat guy can be correct, some of the time.

(Please quote my reply in its entirety, if you reply.  Thank you.)

Guess you missed where he headed up the NAACP in his town?
More proof of your confirmation bias.

The 49% Trump approval is what to him was "suspect"  - which to Josh is another way of saying "dont post that pro Trump shit around here!"

Heh

I'd say it's BIDEN central around here but

a)  nobody here wants to admit they support/like Joe
b)  Joe hasnt really taken the reins, has he?

a) a poll showing Trump has 49% approval is suspect, yes.  We've covered it well here why that is.

b) Biden is not my preferred candidate.  His current lead is name recognition, "electability" and the hope that he would return the country to the normalcy of teh Obama Administration after four years of the US being run by an incompetent buffoon.  While those numbers may hold, I'm not sure that all of those reasons are valid.

Yeah. Who wants a candidate that could get elected and return us to normalcy? Typical of the extreme let of the Democratic Party.

Normalcy = "acceptable" levels of sexism.

Got it.

First rule of politics. Win the election. Time enough for change after that.

Snow White.

"Danish prime minister's comment on Greenland sale was inappropriate"

Discuss.

Trump and his supporters are snowflakes who want to dish out insults with impunity but then act all scandalized when a fraction of that is sent back their way.

Discuss.

So...they're like you.

This is literally a "I know you are but what am I" post, with zero basis in anything that has happened on this forum.

Thanks for proving my point.

Turning to the personal, in recent days I have spoken to three individuals  (2 of whom are very close to me) who have told me that if Biden is the nominee they won't vote.  That concerns me.

Amazing insight.

Actually, how hard would it take to get Greenland the old-fashioned way?

Harry Truman must have asked that same question.   Of course, back then we thought of many European nations as allies.
Still do.
It was a joke.   If you've followed the news the past 2.5 years, you shouldn't have any trouble can figuring it out.
