The idea that Anning's deeply divisive and hate-promoting words, and mooshing an egg in someone's hair, are remotely on the same moral plane is ludicrous.
One may result in a five minute trip to the washroom, a few wet paper towels.
The other may result in the virulent spread of hatred and violence through a population of millions.
One was a bit childish, the other was a full frontal assault on the humanity of millions of people and a vile slur on the innocent victims of a mass murder.
You are really focusing on the wrong act of violence here, Dingo-dinner.
Senator Anning issued a statement after the terror attack the other day in NZ.
He put his name to it, so he owns it, and lives it...every word of it.
Part of his statement reads:
'I am utterly opposed to any form of violence within our community, and I totally condemn the actions of the gunman,' he said.
'However, whilst this kind of violent vigilantism can never be justified, what it highlights is the growing fear within our community, both in Australia and New Zealand, of the increasing Muslim presence.Some people might agree with him, others might not.
I know not of New Zealand.
Living and breathing 'Australia' every day...if you were to ask me: "Is their growing fear within your community in Australia of the increasing Muslim presence?".
I would answer; "Judging by what callers to talk-back radio say, I read in the newspapers, and hear moving around society, there seems to be. The fear seems to increase after every terrorist attack occurs and every terror plot is discovered, and decreases in between."
Another terror trial commenced in Sydney yesterday;

The NSW Supreme Court heard that a fourth brother was in Syria and had links to Islamic State.
