What is a V?

A passage through which you traveled en route to being born.

As the artist Maud Lebowski has said, some men find the word disturbing.

The primary conservative legal theory says hang trump from the nearest yardarm.

The question is how many justices hate the law enough to let the fucktard go free to crime again?

I got whiplash watching the Originalists swerve away from that doctrine this week.

Israel is in the wrong place. That said, if you cannot think of a way to handle business better than the common practice of the teens or forties of the last century you definitely do not deserve nukes.

No one deserves nukes.  We are just stuck with them because Truman had to show the Russians what a city annihilation device we had by actually annihilating a city with one.  And the arms race was on.  Stupidest Sword of Damocles Over Every Human Head EVER!

Hadrian said, we're gonna build a big beautiful wall.  Make Brittania great again, keep out the Caledonian filth - rapists, whiskey addicts, bagpipe players destroying the peace of the countryside!

And may Rome rise again, bring back the Roman Empire, with the help of Athens...

Yeah, autocracy, internal strife and bloody feuds, slavery, corruption, animal cruelty, mentally ill or dimwitted rulers, open sewers, constant deadly fires or structure collapse in slum housing, suppression of socioeconomic growth, innovation and prosperity in Northern Europe, etc.  Yeah, that's the ticket!  And don't forget lead poisoning and vomitoriums!

I didn't think there was a David Lynch film that was more a waste of time than Lost Highway, but no, there is his 2020 film, What Did Jack Do? - the saving grace is that it only wastes 17 minutes.  In that mercifully short span, Lynch is a hard-boiled detective interrogating a monkey in a train station, everything shot in gritty Black and White. The monkeys digital mouth spouts film noir cliches and incoherent rambles, in response to the detective s questions, many also either noir cliches or engimatic references to a backstory that remains opaque to us. Possibly a chicken was involved, as an object of the monkeys affections.  At one point, the detective asks a question about the chicken, a question which is the premise of a famous category of jokes you likely explored in elementary school.  In a different film, this might have been funny.

Because Trump is clumsy at his alleged crimes, surrounding himself with flagrant thugs, telling obvious lies, leaving prolific trails of damning evidence, offering ridiculous defenses for indefensible conduct, I had long concluded that he is incompetent at crookery along with his other manifest failings. That is true as far as it goes. But for all his mad greed and compulsive lawlessness, for all his sleaze and stupidity, crime is ultimately not Trumps game. Trump is nothing like a master criminal. But he is a master of something far more sinister and complex - corruption...

Does anyone understand why the US is giving 2 billion of aid to Taiwan? Is it supposed to stop an invasion? Hunter is running low on spending dough? Vets are sleeping in the streets. Poorer families cannot survive with inflated prices.

It is called the Porcupine Defense. The same defense employed by Ukraine in the wake of the initial invasion.
China may try to bite Taiwan but it is gonna hurt if it tries to swallow.

Coal decline continues, helped along by new regulations, the aging of remaining coal plants, and rapid growth of clean energy.

The fly ash regulations will be helpful to many communities and water supplies.
