106 years ago - December 12, 1917 - the first group of boys arrived at Father Flanagans new childrens home. Father Flanagan had decided to leave his work helping homeless men to concentrate on boys no one else wanted. Borrowing $90, he rented an old boarding house in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. He encouraged the homeless boys, many of whom lived in junkyards and railroad yards, to come and begin a new life in his home. Father Flanagans Home for Boys was a place where children received love and guidance without corporal punishment or verbal abuse. Within two weeks, more than 75 boys representing many different races and religions lived there. From these humble beginnings, Father Flanagan went on to change the way children were treated around the world. 106 years later, his legacy lives on thanks to the support of our incredible donors. #BoysTownSaves #savingchildrenhealingfamilies

Boy's Town is great, and we also have Father Boyle and Homeboy Industries, we can teach the people of El Salvador how to help their children so that the children do not become gang members or criminals. We can send Boy's Town and Homeboy Industries to teach the people in Latin America how to save the children from a life of crime.
Salute,
Tony V.
